were is the weigh supported as i see the person on the ground is the one doing the lowering if someone is heaver than the person on the ground hell will get lifted?? or there is a pully that i missed?
Hello Fabián, a figure eight is not dogma. An autoblock device is also an option. Some rescuers prefer a figure eight because of the smoother running of a rope.
very nice and very precise filming, just what begginer need. Thanks
Great video, I always wondered how it's done.

The rescued person is lowered using the Munter hitch at the anchor point (mentioned at 2:28 and clearly visible at 3:15), which has high friction.
Black bars, intense music, this is way more dramatic than it deserves to be.
Is threre a reason tô use a figure 8 in the rescue??? Isn't better an autoblock gear? Good video by the way 👌😉

here is the faulty safety that has canceled the shock absorber by attaching MGO to the chest ring
You mean the scene at 3:49? In that moment it is not used as a shock absorber, but as an anchor sling.
Baby Rescue Bag.... cooooool :-)))... Munter hitch.. mmm... seriously? :-/
They move very slow
Come on, man. It's an instructional video 😉
