Thank you! I'm struggling so horribly with trigonometric equations. My class is onto the difficult ones and I barely understand simple ones... Time to teach myself what on earth my teacher is trying to teach me!
I dont mean to be off topic but does anybody know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my password. I love any tips you can offer me!
Great video. I graduated highschool a few years ago, but i never did good at trig. One of those things they just ignore and then you move on. And just like that, in a few minute video, i have a far greater understanding of this. Thank you. You must be a good teacher
Thank you, you gave me a big aha moment when u mentioned that the inverse only goes to 180. But you can always take that number and do - and then 360 and then you get a positive value?
Cos is + in quadrant 1 and 4 so to find quadrant 4 u have to subtract 360 from the angle u have And first u have to learn reference angles that would help u alot
The angle in Standard Position in the third quadrant is positive (37° past 180°). The *sine* of the angle is negative because it's in the third quadrant, but the angle itself is positive.
I was referring to how a calculator's inverse functions work. They don't give answers like 290⁰. Instead, they would give an answer like -70⁰. If you need a solution between 0⁰ and 360⁰ you need to convert the calculator answer into the right interval (generally by adding 360⁰ to the negative angle).
For most angles you really need a calculator. For certain angles (30°, 45°, 60° and their multiples) the ratios are nice numbers and you can memorize them.
Thank you so much for this video!! I have searched for roughly an hour watching 20 or so videos, and none of them are as straightforward as this one!!
Me too
I missed a week's worth of class on this, u are a life saver!

I don't know if you see this, sir. I gonna say you've saved my live!
Thank you Brandon! I come from a school in Italy and for some reason here (also online) they make the process look so much more complicated.
I'm glad I could help!
I’m in the same boat now :)
Keep people with relevant videos, watch how to solve trigonometric equations, part 2 of 4 : ruclips.net/video/vKSG1tVblNQ/видео.html
Thank you so much! I've been so confused in my pre-calc class and my professor doesn't teach us anything at all so this made me understand so quickly!
Thankyou for not draining my soul and keeping it to the point
Omg thank you so much for this video 🙏 I was sick the day my teacher taught us the lesson and I had no idea what I was doing 😭😭
Simple vid clear and simple 👌

I finally understood this on the final day on exams, hail to the professors on yt OH HAIL
So helpful l appreciate sir,
God bless you
I study in SAUDI ARABIA and you did me a favour , THANKS 😁
Same
It’s my fault the teacher teachers I play and now I am almost gonna fial my exam
Simple and on the point
Trig equations are well explained here❤💯
Thank you for this video I've learn something new
Bro I’m not aloud using a calculator
Thank you this was very helpful!
Thank you so much ! This really helps !
Great explanation 😁
Thank you so much!
How do we solve this equation 5cosphiter=-3
your video saved me
Sorry sir. Can I ask u. How we can solve the question if it looked like this:
3 sin (teta + 30°) = 7 cos teta
Thank you
You need to modify the sin() function using an identity: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_trigonometric_identities#Angle_sum_and_difference_identities
Thank you sir
Can we solve sin{3x}=1-cos{4x}?
Great video! Perfect
Thank you very much
Why is it 360-60 instead of 360-2(60)
I am sorry i am really slow but can someone pl explain to me why we subtract 60 from 360? Why not 180?
Cos is + in quadrant 1 and 4 so to find quadrant 4 u have to subtract 360 from the angle u have
And first u have to learn reference angles that would help u alot
Why would the 217 not be negative if it is in the 3rd quadrant?
The angle in Standard Position in the third quadrant is positive (37° past 180°).
The *sine* of the angle is negative because it's in the third quadrant, but the angle itself is positive.
In case it's helpful, I just made a new version of this video. It's here: ruclips.net/video/rfKVVVDjbPs/видео.html
@@BrandonGrasley Yes! Thank you!
Why 180+37?
Thank you
Thank you 🙏🏼
thanks ❤
holy savior batman
What if u dont have calculator... For entrance exams
I don't know the requirements for your exams, but I would expect people to know the special angles: ruclips.net/video/UZWqrZ5AuIQ/видео.html
thank you omg
Really helped
I'm glad!
Thanks alot
i couldnt understand why you did -180 and 180 in the last question can anyone explain why?

@@BrandonGrasley ohhh okay thank you so much!
What do I do if it’s csc?
If you have something like
csc(x)=3.7
rewrite it as
sin(x)=1/3.7
And then solve. All of the secondary functions cans be written as primary functions.
Brandon Grasley ohh okay thank youu💜
How would you do this if you couldn't use a calculator
And nice video👍

@@BrandonGrasley thanks I'm learning about the unit circle but just wondered if you could get other numbers than just those. But thanks anyways
Yup... I want to learn without calculator... I so someone using the triangles of 45,45 and 30,60
What about tan..?
same logiv you use arctangent
For tan(x), arctan(x) gives you a solution (let's call it X) and then all other solutions are X + n*180º, where n is any integer.
For me to remember the ASTC diagram I used to substitute it as All Stupid Teachers Complain😅
CAST.How about ASTC-ALL STUDENTS TOO CUTE
lol I have the same calculator as you:)
IB GANG
But how do you do this when it’s in radians 😭😭😭
Nicoe Atala same thing
Yea… I’m dropping out
Im cooked
Thank you so much
