***** -For some reason I can't reply directly to your comment… The free version - Embrilliance Express - comes with no fonts and is really just a platform for using BX fonts. Embrilliance Essentials does come with some fonts but I wouldn't say it's a lot, just a nice little variety. They do have an extra set you can purchase, Native fonts are more adjustable but some BX fonts are better digitized IMO. Check their website to see what fonts come with it: tinyurl.com/embrilliance101
It comes with the Block" letters but you can drag your font to the Embrilliance file.... I just watched that video.... That helped me get my fonts to the file to use, NOW if only I can get them to my machine to sew!!!
There's not a "case change" tool like a text processor but you can easily just type over the text and correct a letter. It's still "text" in the software.
Hi Lindee, how are you? I am from Peru and I have a Brother PRS100, my embroidery machine didnt come with software. I have to buy it. Well the manual of the embroidery machine say: compatible system Microsoft windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8. My laptop is an Apple. Now I want to know if the Embrilliance Essentia Software works between my brother prs100 embroidery machine ( compatible system mentioned) and the Apple laptop. Can you help me and reply me if that is possible or I will need to buy a new laptop like Lenovo, HP, etc to made my embroiders with the software Embrilliance Essential. Hope your replied. Thank you so much. I am totally new on this. Thanks you again!
I have an embroidery design that has black poinsettia leaves along with some other small black designs. I want to change the leaves to green without changing the other to green. Can you please tell me how to do that?
Please help. I lost the lines on the page for something I clicked on and can't get them back. Also, I do not have an Objects box on my page?? I have no place to type letters? Don't know where it went or why? It just wasn't there when I opened it this morning?
Sounds like you turned off some settings on the View Menu. The "lines" disappear when there's no check in front of Draw Gridlines. The panes on the right side are also turned on/off on this menu under View > Manage View. Easy fixes when you know where to find them!
Can you save the bx fonts in the embrillance express,so when you re open the program the fonts you down loaded in previous session, will still be there to use? How would I do save the fonts? Thank you
+Maggie Block, I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you mean if you create some text in Express can you then save that out? You can't make a BX font with Express. You need AlphaTricks to map a font and a special utility to then make that into a BX font for distribution. If you need tech support with Express, please use the Contact Us form on the embrilliance.com website.
Essentials is a customizing program not a digitizing program so you can't make a new design from scratch only by combining ready made ones. There is a newly released digitizer called Stitch Artist that can be added on to this basic program.
This is a technical question for their staff. It really depends on what modules you get. I have all the modules and it takes 85.7MB. Less than 1 GB. Contact Emvrilliance on their website for further details.
Cmd-G or Ctrl-G will group & Cmd-U or Ctrl-U ungroups. These are common shortcut keys in many graphic-type apps. You can also find them on them on the Edit menu in Embrilliance.
LindeeGVideos thank you!! but those the program have any function to "send" to the machine? my machine doesn't have a USB port so the designs get sent via USB cable straight from the computer. I wonder if I could do that from a program other than the software that came with the machine? I appreciate your advice!
Ahh. Well that depends on how your machine works. Is it an actual "send" function from a program or is your machine acting like a peripheral (like an external drive)? Some machines see the computer as an external drive and some the machine is an external drive to the computer.
No, you don't have to be online. It does go check the update status so if you're always working unconnected you might not know about an update. I work in the car on long trips and I'm not connected there.
why does my choice of tools not look exactly like yours? are you using more than one embrilliance software package? I’ve been looking at multiple videos and i am seeing different tool choices( file, edit, and the radial buttons below them)
Yes, I have all the modules. When you add on another module, what you're doing is buying a serial number that will "turn on" more functions in the program. That's one thing I really love about this program - you can get what you need when you need it and not be overwhelmed (or overcharged) by things you'll never use.
Not technically, This would be classified as customizing because you're using ready-made elements. Digitizing is starting from scratch where you create/draw/trace individual objects and then apply stitches, stitch properties, and colors to it. I believe every semi-serious embroiderer needs some sort of embroidery software for basic customizing tasks. Digitizing takes more time to learn and do and is not for everyone.
When you save the file, you can select a format your machine uses and save it to your computer's hard drive or a stick. How you get it to your machine depends on how your machine works. If you have a current model that uses a stick, then after the file is on your stick you just plug it into your machine.
Do the fonts that are in embrillance essentials have underlay? If not how do you add? And I noticed in you video you used "alt" g and other "alt" letters to do functions how do you know these and where can I get a list?
The letters have underlay as appropriate. If you add fonts, it depends on how they were digitized. All of my BX fonts have UL, and the type/amount depends on the width of the stroke. Obviously running stitch fonts (Adine Script) won't have UL. Short keys are listed in the manual and display on the menu next to the command. Be sure to download the PDF manual or you can look in the help file. Some short cut keys are similar to ones in other programs (like alt-g for group).
@@LindeeGVideos I was following along and I typed an "S" for the waves but it wouldn't look like yours. It turned out you were using a capital S and I had a lower case. I was following along with the video. Then I was reading lesson 4 under "navigation" there was a direction given for "Mirror and rotate" but nowhere did it say how to mirror only how to rotate. I am in an Embrillance FB group they were able to help me through this. I prefer watching a video and working along. The printed word can be very confusing.
Hello Lindee, thank you for your video. I have just installed the Embrilliance Essentials application, but have noticed I don't have the Fonts selector icon at the top toolbar. Could you tell me if this is something that needs to be put there after installation or as an additional application? Thank you.
You have a wonderfully clear, cheerful voice. Can't thank you enough for the very helpful and informative tutorials!

That's even easier. Once you save the file it's just like any other design you might have on your computer.
Hello LindeeG. will Embrilliance software work with the BROTHER NV6750D QUATTRO 3 INNOVIS Embroidery Machine ?????
Sure. Because Embrilliance works on your computer and can export PES files, it will work fine with your Quattro.
I have seen there r lots embrillance on the site which one should I buy
what a relief, I don't know where I read this. Thanks
Hi, thanks for the vid. I'm new to embroidery so I'm curious about how to use this software. Can an upper case letter be changed to a lower case ?
There's not a "case change" tool like a text processor but you can easily just type over the text and correct a letter. It's still "text" in the software.
I've lost the side view that shows fonts and other things on right side of screen.

Go to the View Menu, choose Manage Views and click on Object View. If for some reason that isn't it, put in a ticket on the Embrilliance website.

You go too fast for a beginner!
This is not a good beginner video. Its good, but moves very guickly and does not give a lot of the "how's" and "why's".
