IMLAM 2019 Finals hosted by Erasmus University Rotterdam

IMLAM 2019
The 20th edition of IMLAM was hosted at the beginning of July 2019 by Erasmus University Rotterdam. The law faculty, Erasmus School of Law, together with the section Commercial Law, provided the hosting team. It became an unforgettable event due to the cooperation of the partners from the maritime industry and the excellent coordination of the moot by the Murdoch University, Kate Lewins and Michelle Baron.
In this video you can review the finals of the IMLAM Competition. It brings you back to the exciting week the competitors had in Rotterdam, which can be regarded as the ‘jazz week of maritime Law arbitration’, with social events every evening which were attended and sponsored by the top of the international maritime industry in Europe. The Murdoch University annually organises a worldwide competition for young, talented law students with a passion for maritime law. This competition is called IMLAM, the International Maritime Law & Arbitration Moot. Each year, roughly 37 teams from over 14 countries participate. For more information, please go to:

Team Erasmus 2020
This year a team of Erasmus School of Law will again participate at IMLAM. On the 5th of February, they have handed in their first memorandum, so by now, their journey towards Singapore has begun! More information will follow. The following months will be exciting and intense for them.
LL.M. programme Maritime and Transport Law
The ideal preparation for IMLAM is the LL.M. programme Maritime and Transport Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam! This programme is one of the four specialisation tracks of the LL.M. programme Commercial Law. In fact, students of any of the four tracks have the possibility to participate in an international moot court. Entering an international moot court provides you with a year of personal coaching, various law firm visits and entering finals abroad. Participating students build up an international network and learn how to plan their time perfectly. You will be guided by a specialist team.
