When this film was in production I had my doubts about this car. How can we go from the Tumbler and Affleck’s futuristic vehicles to an ordinary muscle car. But boy I was wrong. This is my new favorite batmobile and it’s not even close. That thing was a beast in the movie. So glad I preordered this bad boy from Jada. Good to have you back Arkham.
I felt the same way! Honestly, other than a couple of initial pics of this Batmobile, I did a pretty good job of avoiding any news, images, or trailers prior to the movie’s release so I didn’t see too much of the design until I found this model. Loved this version even more once I finally saw it in action in the movie. Glad you were able to get one too! Thanks for watching and commenting!
This is not the Batmobile we asked for but this is the BEST LOOKING BEAST of ALL of machines of the ENTIRE FRANCHISE!!!!! I am building a 1:1 version based loosely on this theme and I am very happy that there are AMAZING examples of the car I can use for inspiration and reference during the build as well since I have never even considered building a Batman style/themed vehicle because most of them have not been realistic to be street-legal,reliable,daily-driven vehicles. ( I will not own a themed vehicle that is not practical to use on a daily basis on public roads as just a prop!!!!) Thank you for a great review!!!⚫🦇⚫
I think this Batmobile also takes a lot of inspiration from the Adam West tv show; square front, rectangular headlights, rear arches like a wing and tail light position and chrome pipes behind the driver. It's halfway between that 60s Batmobile and a Dodge Charger/Challenger from the Fast and Furious movies.
Dude! You are absolutely correct. I can totally see it now. All of those elements are in this Batmobile. I wonder how much of it is intentional. Thanks for watching!
@@LuciusFoxCar My guess would be it's intentional. But then again, the '66 car was based on a prototype 'real car', and this movie is obviously also going back to the idea of a 'real car' that could be modified by Bruce and Alfred, so perhaps I'm just seeing things common on real cars (as opposed to the Tumbler etc). The suit is also intended to have a 'homemade' look, so it makes sense with the whole 'year two' kind of vibe. I like all the different iterations, but I guess the idea was to distance themselves from the Nolan/Snyder movies. If this is supposed to be more like Se7en in tone, and he is a 'detective' it makes sense to return to more like a muscle car of the earlier Batmobiles. I think they wanted something that had some kind of heritage or connection to the past cars - and I think a modern muscle car would out of place in this movie. I expect it's a total custom chassis, or at least heavily modified version of something, but that roof line makes me think of the Dodge Charger, and I can only assume that is an intentional choice also, with the popularity of the Charger in the Furious franchise. But the battering ram on the front and engine in the back differentiate it enough. I hope we get a BTS on the design and build like we had with the Tumbler. The other thing I think of, is those horror movies where a psycho drives around in a muscle car, or even Mad Max - considering they are going for a more unstable Batman, it seems. The more I see this Batmobile, the more I like it.
Yes!! Absolutely. I know we’re getting a reprise of the ‘89 Batmobile in the Flash movie but I hope we see some alternate designs. Thanks for watching! Appreciate it.
God I hope so. I think Affleck will be on some sort of batcycle, but the 89 Batmobile is definitely in the movie. Can’t wait to see what they’ve done with it!!!!
I love how this batmobile, and even the batsuit, are amalgamations of all the great movie iterations that came before them. I see inspiration from previous Batman Adam West, Michael Keaton, Christian Bale, and Ben Affleck - which is awesome.
I totally agree! I especially love how Batman’s cowl in this movie had so many connections with the Adam West version. Thanks for watching and leaving a great comment! 🦇
same same - like the creativity in the other batmobiles but this one strikes a realistic chord, much like the '66 when you consider the real origin of that benchmark TV vehicle
The 1st scene with the Batmobile was epic. Seeing it IMAX was the way to go. You felt the rumble of teh engine. I also have this model and it is awesome.
I saw it on a pretty big screen but I think it would be great to see it in IMAX. That Batmobile chase scene was intense!! Glad you were able to get one of these models. Thanks!! 👊🏽
So glad you compared this to the 1:18 Hot Wheels '89 Batmobile. Was dying to see how they look together. May just have this pick this up now lol. Thanks for the comparison!
The car looks even better in this scale. I have the Hot Wheels 1/50 scale but I haven’t this one anywhere yet. The only 1/18 Batmobiles I have are the 89 and my fave, the 66. Looks like I’ll be adding this one. Thanks for the review !
I totally agree! It’s amazing what they can do with the detail on a bigger model. I have that 1/50 scale Hot Wheels too (hoping to do a video on that one soon) but I hope that Hot Wheels releases a “premium” version in that scale the way they’ve done with a few of their past 1/50 scales. I think this Jada model is only available through their site (link in the description box) and they’ll soon be restocking a limited amount. Check out the link and good luck! Thanks for watching!! 🦇
Beautiful review, thank you! I’ve already ordered mine and it seems it will be a great model, my only complaints are about the “try me” sticker on the base (I would prefer the title of the movie and maybe the symbol) and the overall packaging. I like better the other next level’s packagings because they are more “premium collectible” (very similar to Hotwheels elite) than this more kid-friendly.
You are absolutely right about the base. I was so excited to open it up that I didn’t even think about that. I also agree about the packaging. I haven’t opened my ‘66 Next Level model yet and it is still in that high(er) end box compared to their standard release. Thanks for the great observations and thanks for watching! 👊🏽
Holy review, Robin! It is always a pleasure to watch your videos. When the notifications bell rings...KAPOW! I slide down directly to your Bat-channel.
Yes, I seen the film 4 times! It's AWESOME! Seeing it in Imax, nothing like it. Standard doesn't cut it. I have this model Batmobile by Jada pre ordered and it will be arriving next week. Thanks for the video!
I’d love to go see it in IMAX. I did watch it on an “Extreme” screen but it’s just not the same. The cinematography was incredible. Gorgeous film. Can’t wait to see it again!
Thanks! I’ll do my best. I do have a couple of Batman figures that I specifically picked up to go with a Batmobile that I wanted. Maybe I’ll finally open those up and review that Batmobile.
Is there any chance Hot Wheels will make a 1:18 Batmobile from The Batman, or is Jada the only choice right now for the 1:18? Also, it looks like their 1:18 scale has gotten bigger and more in scale with Hot Wheel's 1:18 Batmobile.
I’ve been keeping an eye out but I haven’t heard anything about Hot Wheels making a 1:18 scale beyond their RC version. I’d love to get that one but it has a pretty high price tag. Most of Jada’s large scale Batmobiles are a 1:24 scale so they’re a little smaller. For now, this is the most “affordable” 1:18 scale of the Batmobile from The Batman.
I wish they had of had the 66 version in this type box to activate the lights etc instead of the solid sealed box and you have to fully take the model out
So cool to see this and so if cant get hotwheel car i can try get a bigger version of it like i have- back to the future car -and -ghostbusters -by chance. seeing the car more , i think this more of an origin start to the character like a boot kinda minus the reason he became Batman any. so past movies are like the changes or advances of the car itself any. all the cars have been pretty cool and i have tried collect them in hot wheels form if any besides helicopter and Batwing.
Wow your back! Been watching you for years even before I got my first smartphone I brough with my own money! Like you I'm a Batmobile collector from the Philippines. I admire your collection specially your Eaglemoss, I got some few and I wish I had that Batwing 89 you got, but now I own a Caltex version from Malaysia. You should review that soon. More videos from now on! 🦇🦇🦇
Wow! Thank you so much for continuing to subscribe and watch. I’m planning to do another Eaglemoss for my next video. The Caltex Batmobiles are cool but I don’t own any of them. They’re not easy to find here in the States. Someday! Thanks again! Really appreciate the comment. 🦇🦇
@@LuciusFoxCar You're welcome, keep the Batmobiles coming, there will always be a new one to review. There is a 1/64 scale of this by Hotwheels, they have done so great representation then they have for years like that aweful mainline casting of the tumbler(sorry I have to say it) And BvS Batmobile which is almost quite there but not cheers mate 😎🍻
I love this ver of the batmobile just love the muscle car feel the jet motor aesthetic just looks cool the case scene in the movie was awesome I need this to display in my room
Great review as always Richard!! I’m a big fan of this more real world take and can’t wait to see it in action on Thursday!! Love the detail and obvious quality that Jada put into these. It really does seem weighty even in the footage. As always, awesome to see you back on RUclips. Looking forward to the next video!!
Thanks buddy!! I’m definitely a fan of this Batmobile even though it is not overtly a traditional Bat-car. Love the muscle car vibe. I won’t be able to go see the movie until early next week so I might stay away from the internet this weekend, lol. We’ll talk after we both see it! Can’t wait to see this Batmobile in action on the big screen.
Somewhat. Ironically, I don’t have many large scale Hot Wheels Batmobiles but, from what I can tell, Jada is a bit more consistent with their accuracy to the source material. The BvS Batmobile from the two companies is a good example. I think the big trade off is the price. Aside from the Next Level models (like this one) Jada’s large scale Batmobiles are a nice balance of high grade plastic and diecast metal for a more affordable price. Hope this helps a little. Thanks for watching!!
Awesome review!! I’m getting this 1:18 next!! I have the 1:24 Jada metal one, and the kid’s plastic toy one also with lights and figure. Now that toy is pretty detailed too for a kid’s toy.
Thanks! You’re gonna love this one. I finally found the 1:24 scale yesterday. I’ve heard great things about the Spinmaster(?) but I haven’t added that one to my collection yet. Thank you so much for watching!
I haven’t tried but I think it would be difficult to put a figure in the cabin without removing some pieces. I don’t have any of the Spinmaster versions of this Batmobile but I know you could do it with those and I’ve heard good things about those cars.
I ordered mine straight from the Jada Next Level website. I left the link in the description box. They state that they’ll be restocking soon! Not sure if they’ll be doing the ‘66 again but you never know. Good luck and thanks for watching!!
I'm a Batmobile fan and a Bat Man fan. My favorite is the Lincoln Futura. This one, Dom Toretto wants his Charger back. And why didn't he cover up the back? You can't drive this in bad weather.
Good to see a new review, always interesting to hear yr analysis, even though I won't be getting that Batmobile in any form, it lacks style, to me, like Bruce Wayne made a 2nd-hand purchase from a scrap dealer. I've only just finished getting (some) Eaglemoss Batmobiles, inspired by yr reviews. Did you venture into the earlier Eaglemoss James Bond vehicles that ran to about 130? SLightly smaller scale, and flat dioramas not 3-D, but some of the bases are far better than the Batmobile series.
I totally get it. This Batmobile really looks like an average car that Batman scrapped together for the sheer sake of speed and power. It’s definitely in line with the whole Year One vibe that the movie has. Still hoping we see an evolution in the Batmobile when we get the inevitable sequel. Never picked up and of the Bond cars but I do have a few of the Eaglemoss Starships and those are pretty cool. Really wish Eaglemoss could have continued their Batmobile line because we’ve since had a few new great designs that I think they would have done a good job with for our collections. Thanks again for watching!
This sold out instantly. The hubcaps actually do have a bat head if you turn it the right way on the back tires. It's pretty subtle. I bought the $10 Jada car and it's really underwhelming. We never find out about that feature in the film. The car has no gadgets.
Cool! I didn’t notice that about the tread. The Jada website says that they’ll be available again soon. If you want one, I’d keep an eye out. I left their link in the description box. I’m finally going to see the movie tomorrow. Can’t wait!! Thanks for watching.
I do have the 1/18 scale BvS by Hot Wheels. Slight discrepancy I. The differing scales but they look good next to each other. Stark contrast in design but still cool.
It's like a cross between Knight rider car and Dominic Torettos Muscle car in fast and Furious I was not really feeling it at first but its growing on me but im more of a Nolan Batman fan nothing beats the tumbler.
I’ve heard that a lot about the FF car. That is totally true! Also, I know the Tumbler gets mixed reviews from the fans but, despite how different it was, I have always loved it. Batman Begins is still my favorite of the trilogy and some of that has to do with the awesome Batmobile chase scene. Thanks for watching! 🦇
Is it available in India, i really wanted to buy this... What is the exact name to search ? Iam getting unwanted results for batmobile in Amazon, Flipkart.
As far as I know, it is currently only available through their website. I left a link in the description box. They are currently sold out but the site says limited quantities will be available again soon. Good luck! 🦇
@@LuciusFoxCar but will they deliver it too india There are a lot of fans for both marvel and dc merchandise. But the products are available there, they should consider producing in india too.
Definitely love this Batmobile. A muscle car in form and a beast on the road. I own the Hot Wheels regular release and I’m looking for the Spin Master one which I recommend in order to compare it with the Mattel Arkham Knight Batmobile
I’m still thinking about getting the Spin Master and I’m hoping to do a video for the Hot Wheels Batmobile and Cycle. Is the Spin Master close in size to the Arkham? Thanks for watching! 🙏🏽
The Batmobile by JADA is better than Spin Master product in detail matters, but the Batman figure by Spin Master is a bit better, I think they both has thought this so the fans had to buy both products to make a complete best of them.
I haven’t heard anything yet about Hot Wheels releasing a 1/18 scale of this Batmobile. It would be a little strange if they didn’t given their history with cinematic Batmobiles. In terms of their large scale plans, I do know they have two versions of an RC model of this Batmobile. They’re both a 1/10 scale. There’ll be a $100 and a $500 version. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching.
@@LuciusFoxCar still nothing from Hot Wheels so Ive decided to go for this version and I'm pretty impressed. Great addition for my Batmobile 1/18 collection.
Thanks! Yes, it is a 1/32 scale (despite what I mistakenly said in the video). I haven’t taken it out of the box yet because I’m going to do a video for it but I will definitely compare it with some Eaglemoss Batmobile when I do that review. Stay tuned and thanks again!
That Batmobile sucks big time, there are so many nicer cars out there that they could have used for a Batmobile, so many super cars they could have customized for that roll. Are the directors of the movie so strapped for cash, they had to go to a junk yard to get this one. They suck.
The base that the large Batmobiles I review (like this one) are sitting on a circular plate that I actually dug up from my garage, lol. I really need to get a bigger one but this seems to work. I just sit it on the rotating display stand with the mirrored top that you see in my reviews for the smaller models. It’s a basic one that I found at a hobby store but you can find them on Amazon too. Just search “display turntable” and multiple options will pop up. Hope this helps!
AWSOME, am definitely going out to get me one for my collection. Your so right looks badass when lit up 👍🦇 . I already have a ton of the 1/64 scale in this model. and I like U have the 1/43 scale, so definitely going to hunt down the 1/24 N the 1/18 no Doubt !! Thanks for the volgs. I haven’t tried but I think it would be difficult to put a figure in the cabin without removing some pieces. I don’t have any of the Spinmaster versions of this Batmobile but I know you could do it with those and I’ve heard good things about those cars.
Where's the love for the 2004 - 2008 "The Batman" animated show? Love those batmobiles!!
There aren’t many out there but I do have a couple of nice models from that show. I’ll try and work them in to a future video! 👍🏽
I’m so pleasantly surprised to see a new video. What store did you get this from ?? Also the next level 66 ? I can’t find them anywhere . Thanks !!
I ordered mine straight from the Jada Next Level website. I left the link in the description box. They state that they’ll be restocking soon! Not sure if they’ll be doing the ‘66 again but you never know. Good luck and thanks for watching!!
This car looks like a death race/fast and furious meets Batman. Its everything it needs to be, and nothing it doesnt.
I HAVE THE BATMAN BATMOBILE FROM SPIN MASTER WITH LIGHTS AND SOUNDS AND SAIRINS AND FITS TWO CHARCHICTERS
I love the Camaro. I have a 2021 1LT.
I'm a Batmobile fan and a Bat Man fan. My favorite is the Lincoln Futura. This one, Dom Toretto wants his Charger back. And why didn't he cover up the back? You can't drive this in bad weather.
Gotta say, that's a more intimidating Batmobile than the Tumbler or futuristic designs.
1989 - The Batmobile
1995-8 - The "other car"
2000s - The Tumbler
2010's - Too futuristic and all over the place for my taste
2020s - The Interceptor
Do the front wheels turn on the 1:18?
Unfortunately, no. Not many moving parts like we find with a few of the Hot Wheels in this scale.
Great review 👍
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
So excited
Would love to see smaller scale reviews. I collect the 1:32 scale
@@LuciusFoxCar awesome! You're in for a treat!(minimal beverages recommended ha ha)
Wow. Difinetly gonna buy this one!!!
🦇Muscle Bat mobile💪
New Batmobile is monster especially turbine and sound of the engine 😱😱😱😱😱 Keatonmobile is iconic 😎😎😎🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇
this looks awesome..i think this is the best 1:18 batmobile
The rear engine light should be blue.
Fail.
The Batman's new batmobil is for me the best batmobil ever. 😎👍
Do you know what’s in the front of the batmobile❓ I also assumed it’s a second engine.
I hope they release all the batmobiles with lights.
Thanks for the video, do you have the 1:18 BvS batmobile? Curious how it scales next to that?
I do have the 1/18 scale BvS by Hot Wheels. Slight discrepancy I. The differing scales but they look good next to each other. Stark contrast in design but still cool.
According to the website, its sold out...big surprise there. $60 ain't bad
Hi! Do you know how to change batteries? And what type of batteries use?
The turbine colour should be blue and the beside too because at movie it's blue more better.
Great I only have the. 1.64 mainline and premium.
wish jada would include Steering on their wheels like maisto does.
Good luck! 🦇
@@LuciusFoxCar but will they deliver it too india
There are a lot of fans for both marvel and dc merchandise. But the products are available there, they should consider producing in india too.
Looks like a late 60s Dodge Charger with cladding. Rear engine is a nice touch.
Hello! Could be any chance to have a picture of a Mezco style figure next to him? Because it seems to be oversized, due to the design...
0:53 *1/32 scale
Thanks! I know. Wish I could go back and fix that. I’ll likely do a video for the 1/32 scale eventually.
Great video! God bless!
@@LuciusFoxCar I haven’t seen anyone compare it yet but maybe
Awesome review 🍀
THANKS! 🦇
The Batmobile by JADA is better than Spin Master product in detail matters, but the Batman figure by Spin Master is a bit better, I think they both has thought this so the fans had to buy both products to make a complete best of them.
Please review the other “next level” Jada toys 🙏
The movie is my favorite Batman movie hands down best
I noticed that you didn't catch or at least mention that this bat mobile is a modified 69 Dodge
Damn I missed out on this!
Their website says they’ll be available again soon. The link is in the description box.
Do you know if Hot Wheels will release a 1/18 scale diecast version? Debating to buy the Jada one or wait lol
Great addition for my Batmobile 1/18 collection.
can you put in a 6 niche figure?
Nice, very nice!!
How much ?
Really enjoy your content! Was the smaller jada 1/32 scale? And how well does it fit in with the eaglemoss 1/43 scale models ?
They suck.
Hey, may I get a link to that turntable at the end? 🙂
@@LuciusFoxCar Ok, thanks
AWSOME, am definitely going out to get me one for my collection. Your so right looks badass when lit up 👍🦇 . I already have a ton of the 1/64 scale in this model. and I like U have the 1/43 scale, so definitely going to hunt down the 1/24 N the 1/18 no Doubt !! Thanks for the volgs. B safe and happy hunting 🚦🚗🚘🚓 Joe......
Got it but no engine noise but good
Batmobile car
Is there a figure in scale that will fit in there?
I don’t think so. Looks big but not in scale enough to fit the current figures out there now.
Awesome 😎
Thanks! 🤜🏽🤛🏽
I m just waiting for it to discount so i can buy it easily
Yea... That 1/43 looked dope...! 🧐... Show more.
Great video lv the car
Thanks! Love this Batmobile too. Thanks for watching.
I was wondering how the Hot Wheels 1/50 would look next to the 1/45 scale batmobiles.
Working on a video for the 1/50 scale Batmobile and Batcycle from the movie. I’ll be sure to do some comparisons with the other scales. Thanks for watching!!
@@LuciusFoxCar thanks and glad you are back!
This sold out in seconds where I live. No way I can get it now.
Can you do me a favor I just finished viewing this presentation video about this Batmobile I want one where can I go and get it so I can buy it please I’m one of your biggest fans I watch all your videos
I left a link in the description box. They are currently sold out but keep checking back. They’ve posted that they’ll have more available soon!
I was really hoping that someone would have picked up from the the last christian bale Batman Movie. I do though like the trailer that I have seen for this one I did not see Damon's version not a fan of him
I wish they produced this car 😊
Is there a 1-32 scale
Yes! The one I showed at the beginning is actually a 1/32 scale but I accidentally said 1/43. I’ll try your feature that one in a future video.
Thanks for watching!
