A-wall should’ve been A-ball Think about it, you deploy A-ball and you’re in an indestructible hamster ball that can bounce and run people over for 10 seconds while you can’t shoot
that is such a stupid idea and i love imagine. you're in a titan and you are doomed and forced to eject then you use a-ball. you are invincible and then after that you manage to land on a pilot. its like a market garden
I love what you said about turning a bad situation into a mega kill with A wall. Accidentally walked into an enemy spawn when I was running down the hallway and a full team was moving towards me. I panic threw down the wall and hipfired like my life depended on it, wiped the whole team.
me and my friend found the ultimate cancer strategy where we camp at the highest point in the map and alternate deploying a walls while using double take which one shots when it gets amped.
the idea for a more mobile A wall is actually brilliant. it would be like an alternative to phase shift in avoiding damage. maybe making it work more like titan vortex or thermal instead of tone wall. i like it alot
It's refreshing to see someone playing Awall to its fullest. I've always seen it as a big middle finger to titans, a way to control chokepoints, and instant cover to turn on someone trying to take you down. It has some cool interactions with various weapons, though nothing will top the pre-nerf wignman one-tap.

glad to see this community is still thriving! I haven't been keeping up ever since my disc input on my Xbox broke in 2018. Now I have the digital version and I looked up Titanfall 2 on youtube and I'm amazed.
As cool as it sounds to have a A wall player use the shield aggressively, I don't think people are going to leave the corner with their shield and spitfire any time soon.
How is there almost half a million views and like only a couple thousand people actually are online lol. Those who are still playing are the real OGs. I’m proud of all of you guys who still play it.
I always found A-wall great for aggressively pushing chokepoints bridges, alleys, doors in the like. In a game about high speed movement being able to restrict your opponents is a very powerful tool indeed. Especially considering that some of those chokepoints are usually the only routes to objectives leaving the enemy with two options, waste time trying to find an alternative route or push their luck and rush towards the A-wall where a gun is most definently waiting on the the otherside (in my case a Mastiff or SMR). Alternatively you could use i to secure your teams safety while in a choke point blast freely into an objective and take out resistance before moving to secure
Dont know if anyone else knows this, but you can circumvent the long cooldown/deployment time with the tactikill perk as it will reduce the cooldown even while its still deployed. With enough kills you can even throw down another a-wall as soon as the first one is done.
my bois the aggressive a-walls getting the rep they deserve! I've been an aggressive A-wall user for years now and I'm so glad someone else saw the potential!
Dude, the A-Wall is probably the most fun of all the kits (or whatever) imo. Last night I was playing with it while using legion for the first time and I absolutely LOVED it! It was like being able to play extremely aggressive while being defensive simultaneously. All my game consisted of 40-50 kills just because of how amazing it really is. 10/10 would recommend to use with that one gun that shoots micro missiles.
People probably dont want to see the A word here, but Id actually say that Rampart kind of fixes alot of the Problems the A wall has, you always have 3 on cooldown you can pick them up and they are made out of 2 parts. A version for Titanfall would probably be like have 2 on charge all the time with a faster deployment time and abillity to throw them.
I'm pretty certain you can pull off some manic plays with A-wall, because people expect you to throw it down either in the fight, where you can either outmanoeuvre or just kill them during the animation, or camp. But you can do things like throw it in the air, so it lands later and thus takes them by surprise, or place it down in a lane, gather your agresisive pusher, and run back to it. By also placing down a satchel behind it, you can bate them to run directly into it and detonate as they pass through, or to "outmanoeuvre" you, and you detonate the satchel as they walk behind the wall whilst your on the wrong side of the wall. Not to mention, it does work with titan weapons. This includes Northstars sniper, ronin's shotgun, and, importantly, legions smart core. On some maps, you've got a lane or space with cover just below predator cannon height somewhere near it. Attract some friendly enemy Titans to that space, and make sure your helpful teammate throws down the A-wall. The health bars should melt away. Even an ions vortex shield shouldn't be able to help them, because core bullets drain the shield faster, and Amped bullets drain it even faster, so it melts before they can build up to much damage.
My go-to set: A wall Spitfire Charge rifle w/ charge hack (this + a wall melts titans) Pilot sentry Deploying your pilot sentry and a wall while youre camping a good angle at a hotspot is *chefs kiss*
When you are in an open are and there is a enemy tone, with the gran, stim, and even with the camuflage you are doom, but with this wall, you will stay alivie, that happends a lot to me and im glad of this pilot for that.
A-wall is the same as windwall from leauge of legends once you use it creatively anything is possible. just like any ability in titanfall 2.people use grapple as a means of flying and generally getting high amount of speeds however at the tip of the mountain you can use it to maneuver better and even start to use it on really close places to micromanage the bad situation you are in. To put it simply if you are in the zone ( flow state ) everything becomes overpowered. Thats how good almost all of the titanfall items and gadgets are. Us humans start out weak when knowing nothing about something but as the time passes and the experience grows you learn and start to use that tool the right way it is suppose to be used.
This video really opened my eyes. I might just try A-Wall. What really peaked my interest is the thought of being in a corridor with a fair amount of enemies and just mowing them down without any real danger to myself

I will say, a-wall works effective on Frontier Defense on Easy, Normal, Hard, and maybe master. It helps a lot if you were against grunts, spectres, and Stalkers if you were camping against a wall or camping on the roof
My favorite loadout with A-wall: Sidewinder + Thunderbolt + C4 . Playstyle: You spot a titan, you place the A-wall, and you go full BRRRRR with sidewinder (it does huuuge damage). As a a wall main I have some tips always use high damage gun like the alternator or r 101 or flatline this will cut the ttk in half also please make sure you don’t camp it’s not fun for anybody also when you start the match make sure you try to go into the high traffic area you’re shield will block the major damage.
I use A-wall all the time but ive used it as a surprise like throw it infront of a person with like the softball launcher and ruin their day. Similar to the clip in the video. Its a great if you want to run a shotgun like mastiff and lure people to a trap and riddle them with holes.
I always have an A-Wall loadout and used it either way agressively or for camping. It is a really underrated ability, but the issues with the cooldown and the low health of the wall is really a problem that makes this ability get behind compared to the others. But it is really funny to use it in a 1v1 to troll your enemy and get yout on top!
Finally, someone gets it. A-wall used aggressively instead of for camping can be loads of fun, even if you dont get to use it often because of the massive cooldown time. And it likely should be that way anyways.
