Excellent comprehensive guide. Yep agree the included food can be mixed, we have done a lot of MSC this year and on whole the buffet have been of good standard the MDR less so, but as you say the up charges have been worth every penny. Great work gentleman
Thanks for watching as always! The food in the MDR for what we had wasn't great - it seemed very basic, but food in main dining seems to have gone down hill pretty considerably. At least the speciality restaurants were there though - and you could actually book them. Something we've really struggled with of on cruise ships with other cruise lines.
Great video, sailing with them in June. Do you know if you can use your drinks package in all of the dining venues or are drinks extra in the speciality restaurants? Thanks
Thanks for your comment! We loved Butcher's Cut too - Jay doesn't eat meat, but there was a pretty good choice for those with dietary issues! Take care!
Loved the video. We are thinking about booking a winter cruise on this ship. Are thinking about Aurea class. Do you know if breakfast in this class is good in El campo?
Thanks ever so much Jess! We were in YC on this cruise, but we had a friend in Aurea and she said the food was really quite good. Service is also much better in Il Campo as it's a much smaller dining room. Hope you have a great time :)
Fabulous video guys! Food looked pretty good to me. As I said in the Live feed, was very disappointed with Ventura, and I’ve vowed not to cruise with P&O for a while - may have to consider MSC. Your videos are certainly painting MSC Virtuosa in a good light, and I’m trusting of your honesty! Thanks for posting.
Thanks for your kind words as always Ben, and thanks for becoming our first Patron too! Overall, we were pretty impressed with the food aboard MSC Virtuosa. Food in the MDR did love up to much of the reviews we had read before cruising though. Let us know what cruises you've got booked :)
Wonderful overview of the food, I’m not sure if I’d like this ship however the YC looks stunning and Would probably consider that, but again having to pay extra for everything else does bother me a little bit. I Will need to do some more thinking on MSC before booking i thinks!
We highly recommend YC if someone can, it defiantly feels a lot less busy and more quiet compared to the rest of the ship! Defiantly think about it Julie as we did have an amazing time, but you’re right you do have to pay extra for a lot of things with MSC!
Thanks Julie! The Yacht Club is incredible, it's just a shame they don't offer a separate menu to their Yacht Club guests - having said that the food was pretty good.
Thanks for watching! Off the top of my head, cigarettes were around £45 for 200 whilst onboard. Think they did two packs for £79 though :) hope that helps!
Another comprehensive food review guys 🙏. Never tried MSC mainly due to the poor food reviews but I must say, at the right price, and with selected specialty restaurants factored in, it could be on our list 🤔👍
Thanks as always for watching! Yeah, you are spot on. We're happy to cruise with MSC, but we just make sure that we take enough money as we know we'll be dining most night in extra charge restaurants - because MDR isn't up to much outside of YC. The buffet was pretty good though :)
The choice of food on this ship looks fantastic to me. Just been on Arcadia and not impressed at all. Thankfully it was only a mini cruise because the choice of food was shocking!!!
Thanks for your comment Beverley! We went on Arcadia last week and thought it was awful! Apparently food isn’t great on other P&O ships either! Food on this ship was pretty good overall!!

Great video as always guys! The YC looks amazing x
Thanks for watching Christina :)

Hey Susan, if you have a drinks package it will cover you in any and all special dining restaurants 😀
Very helpful video guys thanks! I’m curious to know if the il campo was any better than MDR?
Thanks for watching! We know some friends who were in Aurea on this particular cruise, and they spoke quite highly of it!
Loved the food on MSC, also I guess we was lucky as the MDR was pretty good! Lovely video though, thanks its making me miss butchers cut
