    У нас в России таких людей называют " настоящий мужик". Это тех кто может сделать всё своими руками 👍👍👍.

      Это и сближает, что тут и там есть нормальные мужики, которые руками делают вещи.

      А для того чтобы не бояться чтобы это дерево не упало на ваш дом, сделать перед постройкой разметку где и как он будет находиться. Перед стройкой их убрать, а потом строить дом? Или законы в США это запрещают? Извиняюсь за свою прямоту.

    My 80 year old parents have me cut the trees around their house, my Dad says, "you are perfect so far, 5 trees cut down, and not a single one hit the house", LOL. YES, Chris, I do know that feeling, when the tree starts to go the wrong way, use WEDGES on the back side of the tree - there's my amateur but AWESOMENESS advice to prevent you from being crushed. Have a SAFE weekend.

    • @GoingBallistic
      @GoingBallistic  10 месяцев назад +1

      lol, my chainsaw was what saved it from coming back on the house.
      Next time, I’ll use wedges 😉

    You're good people Chris. There are a lot of hopelessly helpless people in the world these days that couldn't find their way out of a wet paper bag. Putting in work is highly respected in my parts.

    I've always wanted to go live in the mountains, off grid, but my wife's health took a bad turn and it is no longer a possibility. I love these videos because it is what I was supposed to be doing in the next few years. Good luck to you and your wife! Great video, by the way!

    When I was in a cabin having a wall propane heater was 10x better than a fire stove.
    You might be able to find water on the hillside. Valley and green trees show where the water is underground. We had a whole drilled into the side of the mountain for fresh ground water constantly flowing.

    Nice job brother! Lots of faith in you. Watched the last three episodes and you are right. They don’t want you to have a successful Channel because of what you represent, a man and woman making their own choices and way in life. Your sister and I are here for you. Good job.

    Похоже, в ближайшие дни я буду смотреть, как американская семья перестраивает дом в горах, вдали от цивилизации. А почему бы и нет, а? Выглядит интересно.
    Well, looks like next days I'll watch how American family rebuild their mountain off-grid house. Ok, why not? It's really interesting.

    Commenting on all your videos ( A ) ya know people are watching and ( B ) algorithms.
    Take some pots and pans and sprinkle baking powder in them ( easier clean up ) put them around the house should help absorb smells and it's cheap and if 1 happens to get spilled really not that hard to clean up unless you do what I would have and thats sprinkle it everywhere

    It never gets cold (or hot) where I live (shorts and t-shirt all year round), so it's freaky thinking of the ground being frozen! I can imagine frozen water...but dirt???

    • @chilkat_river
      @chilkat_river 10 месяцев назад

      I'm on the SE coast of Alaska. It never gets cold of hot here either.
      Most of the year it's about 40F and rain.
      We just wear several layers of wool or fleece under our rain gear.
      It gets kind of cold in winter, rarely below zero F.
      In the winter the ground freezes down to about 42 inches.
      It's a very moderate climate compared to up north.

    Hi from Denmark.. How fast is your internet in your Cabin ??.. Where do you get water from? Do more of this work video !! PS Nice Work !!

    • @GoingBallistic
      @GoingBallistic  9 месяцев назад

      The internet is about 150 Mbps which is way better that the 20Mbps I had with my other provider.
      Right now now we get our water from a place 2 miles down the road. They deliver it or we can go get our own from a filling station.

      My wife and I are moving so we thought why not change things up a bit and do a video of us fixing up our cabin.
      When Justin gets back from vacation, we’re going to make tome pew pew videos

      @@GoingBallisticYes, I know you’re moving, but why offgrid? Do you have a special plan or why do you make such a decision? I don’t want to insult you or anything like that, but I find it interesting why you go a way like that.
