Yes Sir. There can be a number of factors creating them wavy cuts. I try and do a complete once over on my mill every 50 hours. So far it’s paid off. The chance to teach a young man how a mill operates to give him a little knowledge of it. Good job
Hey Erik, thanks for the tips. I noticed the laser beam on your sawmill. Did that come with the mill or is it an after-market product? My squirrely logs are convincing me to buy one, but I wonder if the after-markets are intense enough to see the line clearly.
You bet! and yes that is an aftermarket laser by Apinex. It works pretty well except in direct sunlight and while I believe it's a useful mod I still need to adjust it a little more LOL but haven't managed to get back to doing so. Here is the video I did installing it: ruclips.net/video/_OioBMyBuh4/видео.html
@@TheOldJarhead It's the same specs at 14 pounds and a half inch, I just have to get a gauge...I've been doing the highly accurate poking it with a finger up till now 🤣
Oooo you're sneaky. This is recycled from the last video. I'll bet you learned that in the Marines. It's great to be teaching a young person how to do something; especially when the WANT to learn. Good (recycled) video.
Nothing more fun than witnessing firsthand the confidence that new learning provides a grandchild. Nicely done.
Couldn't agree more! and Thanks!

lol Yes, I confess, I used some of the same video but not all 😉 Think of it as what you missed in the condensed version 😉
Some times a recycled video is just in time👍
@@Twobrothersoutdoors amen!
I agree.............especially if you're a sneaky Marine like Erik.
I understand exactly why he did it. I would too.
But do you? 😉
