    Thank you for producing a very well done video series. Camera work, narration, easily understood explanations are some of the best out there.

    I actually have this same kit for my mt55 engines. Now I just got a 2015 t590 but it's only 1600 hrs and runs great. It's a little hard to start in 8 degrees but it works.

    That was a fantastic video! Thank you for producing it. I can see an awful lot of people benefiting from this “lesson”. I routinely send your videos to guys on the skid steer forums that have that specific problem and recommend they subscribe. You’ve made me sound like I know what I’m talking about when I try to help them through their issues. So I hope I’m adding to your followers. Quick question, will you do or have you done a video on “ if you were going to buy this skid steer, this is what you would want to check”, that would be so useful to a lot of people. Thanks again you are the best! Your parents have got to be very proud of the son they have raised, and I hope you are teaching your son everything you know so he can be your assistant in a short time.

      I can't thank you enough for the kind words and support my friend. Thank you for the idea, I have thought about that considering how many skid steers I buy and sell each year it shouldn't be hard to make.

    Another GREAT video!!! Quick question, Is it safe/ok to use "diesel 911" on common rail systems, D24 ?

    • @tetradgroup
      @tetradgroup  2 года назад

      In my experience 911 causes more issues with the common rail fuel systems. I really like Bobcats tier four diesel treatment, works best for me in the winter.

    So do I understand correctly, glow plugs are really only needed in colder weather?

    • @tetradgroup
      @tetradgroup  3 года назад

      They can be used as starting aid at any time but primarily they are used when its cold outside.

    What an awesome find on RUclips! I bought a 2019 t590 this past fall with 444 hours and so far so good. I use it in the winter for snow and so far its been fine in the cold but have a new block heater to install and thanks to the video I found the plug. I do have 2 unrelated questions if you dont mind...After it warms up where should the heat needle be at (mine is about 2 needle widths above the cold mark on the gauge (kind of like the 1/8 mark on a old fuel gauge) and getting good heat. 2nd question, my heater switch has 3 settings and there is no difference in low and med. and when its on high there still isn't much more air blowing out but I can hear what sounds like another fan but again hardly any more air coming out. I've changed the switch and replaced both cabin air filters, any idea? Thank you for these video's!

      @tetradgroup  2 года назад +1

      Question 1- The machine should run at about 190 degrees. Question 2: As far as low air flow, don't forget to check your recirculation filter behind the seat and it is a good idea to raise the cab, remove the cover for the condenser and heater core and use an air compressor to blow out the heater core and condenser. If it is hard packed dirt, you might have to wash it out with a water hose. Also make sure the drain holes in the cover are clear and free of dirt and mud.

    seems odd to me that all 4 glow plugs are junk any reason why that would happen?

    • @tetradgroup
      @tetradgroup  2 года назад

      It is odd, seems they only last a few years on these machines for some reason.

  • @crazywayne7051

    You really test them the hard way dude.
    All you need to know is how many amps each glow plug draws, most pull around 10 amps@12 volts.
    So I just clamp an amp meter around the wire feeding the glow plugs.
    0 amps they're all dead, 10 amps 3 dead, 20 amps 2 dead, 30 amps 1 dead, 40 amps all good.
    Define the dead ones usually all you need is a incandescent test lamp you can tell by the illumination once you get the hang of it.
