Looks pretty cool I guess you could do it with ANY 2WD Been to Phelps lake few times but not on those trails .Been trying to catch up with you but every time I'm in town I only see Andrew working one of these days I'll catch you LOL
It's worth the drive out there if you just want to make a day trip. Definitely better than driving 4 hours to the mountains (assuming you're in SE VA/NE NC. It's definitely basic. A sedan could do most of it, but it's very remote, so it's a good relaxing drive.

As long as you stick to the gravel roads, you'd be safe in a sedan!

If you're within a couple of hours I'd say it's worth going to, especially you combine it with Alligator River.
