Excellent diy auto repair video! I am putting a car back together that has sat disassembled for over 2 years. A 99 Sunfire with 2.2. Thank you for taking the time to make such an excellent video covering the process completely and safely. I hope you continue to make these videos, best repair video I have seen, and I have watched a lot of them! Thanks again!
You Sir R one Bad Ass... I loved the vid.. Very Educational.. Best one I've seen on the HG replacement. But what really put it over the Top.. was that U did it in cold weather and Snow on the Ground... Nice Work....
You could use a metal ruler to check the head when you take it off or take it to a machine shop if it is warped worse it'll happen is it a leak and you'll have to do the job
Ray! I just replaced the headgasket kit. I wouldn't have been able to do all that without your help. THANK YOU! You saved me from being hit with a month's wages in these tough times. Previously replaced the coolant res/fan/water pump. And drum/disc brakes. Would have been a waste if not for your video. Thank you! I'm subscribing. 🤝🏻
Ray... Thank you so much for posting this video. I followed it from start to finish. It was almost a flawless job. Used it to do a lifter swap. Your work has not gone unnoticed. Again...many thanks.

They're great cars if you take care of them only downfall is the dashboard cracks if you park them in the Sun so if you park in the Sun get a windshield visor to put in the window when you park

Hey thanks alot yea it was cold but had to get it fixed for my mother-in-law lol
3:45 to get those studs out put 2 of the nuts you just took off on and loosen the inside one into the outside one.
Did you not have to take the timing chian off to gwt the head out ?
Can the head be warped? If so, how can we figure it out?

Could this work for a 2005?
If it's the same body style most likely
Awesome video, very detailed. Although, is it necessary to pull both engine mounts off?
Don't remember but if I did it in video then probably

My gasket doesn't say up on either side but it does havw a serial number does that go up or down
Just make sure all the holes align with the block and nothing is blocked off like the holes for the oil and the antifreeze
