I’m currently traveling 80W, and my gosh the trip down the Wasatch Range into Salt Lake City is wild. I’m moving from Boston where drivers are crazy, but I’ve never feared for my life like that before. They have suggested speed signs and following them causes more of a hazard since everyone was booking down those steep winding turns at like 75/80mph
It blew me away the first time I drove into Salt Lake! Utah instantly became my favorite state and that was before I even saw the southern part of the state!
Sometimes in the near future, Mountain View Corridor (UT-85) could connect to I-80 at milepost 112, as designated as exit 112 in the west side of Salt Lake City, Utah, as they have planned. Will Utah be the fastest growing state for the next 10 years from now?
Very nice trip beautifull green mountains
I enjoy the views without having the expense of driving.
Awesome! Glad I can help you out with that!
Beautiful day, beautiful drive. That was one serious train you passed. Thanks for sharing your adventure!!!
I wasn’t sure if I was going to see any train’s because they were supposed to strike right before I left!
Beautiful drive along interstate 80
I love checking out highways like interstate highways us highways state highways
It really is! It’s one of my favorite drives into a big city. Out of the beautiful mountains and right into the beautiful salt lake valley!

I'm sure they are used to it but I know sometime those mountain interstates will make me a little uneasy as well!
The approach to SLC is probably one of the most epic moments on the Interstate System. Right up there with the Cajon Pass on I-15.
