When you work hard & believe in your passion...you can achieve it. This is proof. Although, not everyone has this kind of commitment. He is the exception to the rule. :) His parents must be very proud. Awesome story. Congratulations to him! "Failures will allow you to succeed"...Great quote. The bs with your post and similar posts like this along with "motivation" speeches and the likes are pretty much summarized in lines such as "Not everyone is made for University" but "Everyone can achieve success and having stacks of money", nope. Just not possible my friend. Just as it wouldn't be possible for everyone to be a single profession(let's say doctor) if everyone wanted to be that single profession, as we need tons of different profession people out there for our societies to function. Not to mention tons of people not being "built" for it. People like you are the type of people whom will say to a fish that it can and should be able fly just because a bird can and in the process make the fish feel guilt, sad and generally unhappy and depressed because it can't fly.
Commitment and effort while important elements, are some of the least important things. Important things are luck on various levels, timing, conditions, inspiration, generally a crap ton of things that you can't even begin to conceive and comprehend.
To put it in a more simple way for you, it's like you guys claim that everyone can be Einstein. They can't. Because if they could, we'd have a ton of em. Not only people lack the "build"(his IQ-genes) but they also lack his inspiration and you can't achieve the same thing twice. Einstein discovered that E= mc^2, you can't be like him and discover the same thing again.

Your comment reminded me of siblings who will never say ”our parents” even if they have included the sibling in the context, but they will only say ”my parents” as if the parents are not the sibling’s parents too. Then you have those who will only say ”our parents” if they have mentioned their sibling in the same context as their parents. Some people are just more inclusive and have a perspective outside of their own.

Sir Derty what you’re saying is kinda irrelevant. Look at Nike for example. They’re at the top when it comes to sports wear but there are hundreds of other successful sports wear brands that I may not have heard of myself, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t but recommended for the work they put in. The reason why this sets him apart from many others is because he never started with investors. If you watch his videos online you’ll see he literally started from the ground up and got it to a point where now even investors want to get involved...which every big brand does when they’re becoming successful. Many other brand like his started from having investors on board from the beginning but he didn’t...

Did some research and sure enough, in the beginning “zyzz” Who was a major fitness influencer at the time agreed to wear their clothes and his videos and they started making “merch” for him and promoting it to Facebook. THAT Is how he started the company. On the back of an influencer‘s really hard work…zyzz tragically died really early on which 100% is the only reason why gym shark is able to get away with continuing to promote the fact that they are “self made the brand”
Now, absolutely after you have that big opportunity and start in business you have to have the head to continue it and grow it which I give all the accolades to but the fact that he so easily brushed over the actual reason he had that opportunity is frankly gross and bad business ethics…ew

Fair play to the guy, at 19 I scraped together £2k for a car, but I couldn't imagine spending £3k for a stand at the NEC for a weekend at that age.
