My Wife and I just finished "Aeronauts", we heard this beautiful voice and song I just had to look it up. The is the first time I've heard of Sigrid. To hear her sing this with an orchestra was amazing, also amazing is what she was singing for, " stand up to cancer" I was diagnosed this past year with Stage IV esophageal cancer, but have recently received news that the cancer is gone! This is a miracle only from God and Jesus.
I had a brain tumor. Took 3 years to be able to eat and walk independently again. My wife left us and cheated on us. I do not believe anymore. Exactly for this reason.
Few months ago, I saw this movie "The Aeronauts" for the first time. I didn't watch it completely because I fell asleep and when I wake up it was already the end credits. And then this song was played. I used to end a movie by not finishing it all the way but this was those rare moments where I just let it play until the song is finished. Few days later, I just received a very bad news from my aunties. My grandfather died. It took me days to let it sink in and realized he is already gone. Last moment that we were together was way back 2019. I didn't even get the chance to see him again last year before the pandemic started. This song was the one I held on to just to ease the pain of knowing that my lolo is gone. "There's a place by the sea and that's my town" This line really describes my grandfather's hometown and I find it so mesmerizing and mysterious why this song came to my life in a good timing. Thank you for this Sigrid.
