I have the Australian version, the Sunmaid 20. Very nice boat, does everything I want in a yacht, I can rig, raise the mast, launch and retrieve, and sail single handed (until I get too old). They were designed and buily originally in NZ then the Australian ones were built in Victoria. Mine even has the Coronet logo moulded in to the front hatch.

I am looking at an Investigator 563 this weekend - nice little boat (18"6') but I am more convinced about the Sunmaid 20 for all the reasons in the comments below. Thank you for sharing your boat with us !!!

I have a Sunmaid 20, too! (in South Australia). Lovely boat: strong, safe, stiff, roomy, good deck space, and very nice proportions. 6hp motor is quite enough (mine came with a 15hp - overpowered and heavy as sin, so I swapped it for the 6hp). Interior could be a bit better lined. Ours is like a small, white, plastic cave inside, but I'm getting used to it. Hope you keep yours and we get to see you sailing her. RUclips Channel "Sail Ho" features a Sunmaid 20 if anyone's interested in watching more about these praised and praise-worthy little boats. Cheers.

I have Sunmaid no 227. Very nice boat, easy to sail, comfortable interior. It came with a 6hp Mercury with a sail drive prop. I also use a 4hp Yamaha which pushes it along quite well with very good economy. The boat will be for sale shortly due to my advancing years and I will be sad to part with it.

I have a Sunmaid 20. Would you have any diagrams, links or any other info on the keel? In particular info for removing the keel. It’s not coming down properly and I need to work on it.
