Guayaquil & Quito Railway 2014 Part 2

The video starts with a few shots of a banana plantation and some coco pods.Then ideo taken from the cab of a 3’6” gauge Alstom AD24 Bo-Bo-Bo diesel electric locomotive along part of the Guayaquil & Quito Railway leading up to the switch-back at a location called the Devil’s Nose. I left the cab shortly before we reached the Devil’s Nose switchback. The video lasts 45 minutes, at times it may seem a bit like a 1960s minimalist film but a ride into the Andes in a loco cab is something I am unlikely to experience again.
