Hard to believe that this is the same yacht! Incredibly well refit. What an amazing experience it would be to charter this magnificent yacht and see Galapagos
An amazing opportunity and way to experience the beauty and uniqueness of Galapagos aboard a great yacht. PS: So it could be an interesting topic for another video - now that you plan to visit various shipyards - to talk about different / the most common and important certifications/classifications/yacht codes and their implications in terms of construction, travel possibilities, costs and future proofing.
Hi David. Dr No No was an incredible yacht. The extensive refit has increased the ultimate luxury in Aqua Mare. Galapogus heaven. A fantastic combination. Great video thanks 😊
David, Well done. Absolutely gorgeous yacht, surroundings and content. The video itself is a piece of art, I enjoyed every moment of it. As you know, I don't comment on every video, even though I enjoy them all. I guess you can say I comment on the videos that speak to me on a personal level, like this one. 🙂 This video, a piece of art. 🙂
I can't believe that is the same yacht!!!!! Wow what an amazing refit!!! And what a great place to Charter!!! The geek in me loves that there are researchers on board to tour and ask questions I would probably annoy them 🤣🤣🤣
... what a 'Fabulous First' this is David ... a luxury Yacht for Charter at this time of great escape from the throws of Covid 19 ... what a magnificent escape indeed ... ... wow, just my favourite ... dark baronial georgian ... ancient mariner, eternal explorer ... absolutely stunning colourway with the contrasting white, light cream carpeting, ecru faux suede canvas ... gleaming chrome .& do I see a lavish display of bird's eye maple?.. delightful to see the creatures in their 'home turf'... what a Journey ... 💫 ... well named; Aqua Mare ... she's a good strong gal' with very high style ...
Wow what a yacht to have a amazing location. Clearly the owner has a great vision of what to offer and delivering it in very special way. Lovely video David PS was this known as Dr No No?
İts been 6 months since i left the board and the video showed me how much i missed her 😕 but thank you for let us see this fascinating yacht once again ...
It is great to see such a beautiful part of the world given so much protection in terms of its pristine condition. If only more governments around the world respected mother nature in the same way! Great video!
Simply amazing David. Thank you for opening our eyes to this beautiful location. I would guess it may have been one of your favorite on location shoots as well? Well done.
What an original idea to be able to charter just a room on the yacht…but still get the whole yacht experience. Is that a new concept. As you said it may bring more clients that can afford a fractional fee…very interesting
We were there in the late 80's on our way down to Tahiti. 3 weeks of stunning diving and cruising. My Boss took the Ecuadorian Ambassador out to dinner in London to get all the permits. Our live-aboard guide was David Davies, who almost ate us out of house and home, This was on a 65m motoryacht.
One error to note in the introduction. They are sea lions, not seals. Quick way to spot the difference is that seal lions have visible ears. Seals do not have visible external ears. Finally, the guides, which are licensed by the country of Ecuador, are a requirement of any group wanting to explore the Galapagos. Their job is only partially to guide and explain the islands and it’s flora and fauna. Their main job is to keep the visitors from doing more damage to the place. They generally do a good job and really care about the place.
Love your videos. I have one suggestion. Recently, a large number of hosts and presenters give their preesentation without looking into the camera. This gives me the idea that you're not talking to ME but rather, someone else. So when you're saying how great it would be to stay in your staterooms, you're not talking to me but someone else in the room and ignoring the fact that i'm "there." If I went to a live presentation and the speaker only spoke to someone else I would leave.
I would love to go to Galapagos, but, I really think humans should not be allowed on the island. It makes no difference how much the wildlife is protected. The mere presence of humans disturbs the delicate ecosystem. We bring bacteria, viruses and disease which the wildlife may not have any natural immunity. Ok, that is my eco-speil. Now on to the yacht: Magnificent refit! The entire yacht is stunning. It was nice before but it is now exceptional. I am curious how much the refit cost. Also, was it simply a cosmetic refit or was there a technical refit as well? I am going to go back and watch the Dr. No no video again, so I can compare, and contrast the changes. Thank you David!!
Affluent just means 'rich'. So they are rich explorers, which is undoubtedly true because I imagine a week's charter, or probably longer given travel time is massively expensive. But that is awesome you got to experience it. One of the reasons that I would want an Explorer yacht, like a Bering, would be to visit the Galapagos Islands. But also Antarctica, Alaska, False Bay and watch the great whites leap from the water to take out seals. Allow scientists to come and conduct research. Or high school kids and their parents who show interest in marine studies. Will probably never happen, but that's what dreams and $10 Powerball ticket worth over 280 million are for.
@@bravejango12 I might have to play then. Thank you. I always figure that 155 million would be what I would need after I set up my kids, get my dream yacht and travel for 4 years and then come back and do other things. Not stay into a big yacht past that, but go down to a catamaran and sail in the Caribbean after that. But about 280, after taxes and getting my kids set up would leave me about 170 and after the yacht was bought, about 155 million left. After 4 years, probably 11 million in operating costs, so 144 million is plenty enough for me.
Why not take the immense fuel consumption of a yacht this size, into those clean waters, untamed paradise, as long as there's profit? But we definitely appreciate the owner's entrepreneurial spirit, he's got all the approvals.
The only reason I have given you a dislike, is because of the music. I want to listen to what your saying, not background music playing in the foreground.
I watched a good video but the presenter felt it necessary to make his self at home but sitting on the furniture and having a good nosey through the cupboards etc. could just be me but I have to say it didn’t ‘feel’ right. Can’t recall you doing this. I prefer your approach for sure.
Hard to believe that this is the same yacht! Incredibly well refit. What an amazing experience it would be to charter this magnificent yacht and see Galapagos
I just love looking at these Yachts.
Kudos to the owner! What a fantastic yacht. The Galapagos, a bucket list destination for sure.

What an exquisite way to visit a bucket list place.
Great idea in an amazing location. A location on almost everyone’s bucket list. Impressive location and a well shot segment!
Died and gone to heaven, came to mind when i viewed this report. Just stunning, amasing, and utterly out of this world.
The wood work on that yacht is exquisite, beautiful.

Outstanding. One of the best yacht videos I've ever seen, the Galapagos is extraordinary. Would love to see more of the crew in future videos...

Simply stunning - the whole experience. I will never be able to afford it but it is wonderful to see what is on offer to those who can.
A magnificent yacht and concept that embraces "might (economic) for right". Absolutely sublime.
I am really impressed! Thanks David.
Fantastic video and a stunning yacht which is a credit to the vision of the owner.

They did an amazing job on updating her.
Amazing.
David and his great videos.

That looks like a dream.
Incredible video. Best yachting video ever honestly. I want to go!
Outstanding.
Simply amazing David. Thank you for opening our eyes to this beautiful location. I would guess it may have been one of your favorite on location shoots as well? Well done.
The single stateroom offer is highly attractive.
*Yachts For Sale* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to bring us along. God Bless.
Just Perfection

Hope to buy a yacht from you someday.
I hope so too 😁
Exellent video) greeting from Ibiza

What an amazing opportunity and experience. I cannot help but ask just what the process was for the certification and permissions to cruise Galapagos.

Loved your original video of Dr No no, the boat looks so much nicer in its new colour. Genuinely interested to know where the extra 2 staterooms are?
OK add a charter on Aqua Mare to the bucket list.

It would be great if you could let us know what a week's charter would cost, even a ball park figure.
Was Dr No No a blue color before the refit?
I like the yacht almost as much as the Galapagos.
Yes, was blue.

Powerball is currently $335 and mega millions is $328 million.

David Seal Attenborough haha
If I was a billionair I would charter a megayacht for a world cruise.
👍

Boooo hoooo hoooo. Everything is so terrible, except you of course. You are perfect right? You know everything right? Boooo hoooo
