Does anybody know this movie from the 70s or 80s? It's a movie in which there are warlocks or wizards who live in modern day America. The movie takes place in the city, and there is a gruesome scene in a public restroom in which a warlock murders someone by using his magic to telekinetically pick up some nearby newspaper. He then whirls the paper into a vortex, which kills the guy by repeated paper cuts. Saw it when I was a kid and never could find it on RUclips.

No spoiler alert either 😕
Boo hoo.
Martyrs (original) should be watched with as little info as possible, just that it's a 'serious' horror, that's how i saw it and why it's burned into my memory. I hope people here discover it for themselves and forget the clips they saw! So many stand-out moments, depressing and incredible!
Thanks my friend... saw your comment just in time to stop video... what ones would you recommend from this list?
Tusk (2014) and Reanimator (1985) are some good ones too.
"you summon us , we came "
"No tears please...its a waste of good suffering"
Does anybody know this movie from the 70s or 80s? It's a movie in which there are warlocks or wizards who live in modern day America. The movie takes place in the city, and there is a gruesome scene in a public restroom in which a warlock murders someone by using his magic to telekinetically pick up some nearby newspaper. He then whirls the paper into a vortex, which kills the guy by repeated paper cuts. Saw it when I was a kid and never could find it on RUclips.
As other users commented you spoil the best part of every movie you recommend, then what's the point? I love this channel but this one was kind of a bummer
Excellant list.
The Ressurected was awesome. Very faithful to the HPL worldview.
The void and martyrs are great and perfect for people who enjoy barkerian horror
How did I not see most and I will have so.e new movies to watch soon
Basking is dope
What "The Platform" has to do with Hellraiser it's not even a literal horror genre movie.
It's pretty hellish
@@jackalope2302 what exactly explain
@@alexG-xj7ff it's a movie set in a terrible place that's supposed to be impossible to escape.
@@jackalope2302 So that is how you can describe unique plot of Hellraiser? movie set in a terrible place that's supposed to be impossible to escape? that is a foundation for a story used pretty commonly in a horror genre...Hellraiser is not about that ,end of discussion.
@@alexG-xj7ff I don't know. I was reaching for straws
A friend pulled Necromentia out of a dollar store and I will owe her for that forever!
The most horrible thing is a horror movie or gore without a social idea and message, but made simply because of the violence. Violence simply because of violence is a mental illness.
Nightbreed was close too. Not the best but not bad either and close to the original story. I would like to see them try a adaptation of In the hills, the cities. From Books of blood, part 1.
infact the detective from lord of illusions Harry D"amour meets pinhead in the book the Scarlet Gospels.
One of the best horror stories on ebook, demore the witness
scarlet gospels are trash,,
A list without EVENT HORIZON??? :D For fucks sake! :D
Nice vid
Hi , how about you cover something related to Aliens and Predators ?
Im predicting CLIVE BARKER's name will be all over the place late 2021 and on! with HBO's HellRaiser series in development! Also Nightbreed with Craig Sheffer Returning to star finally breaking out if "development hell"! So much potential for storytelling with great characters I/WE want and need to know more about! could you imagine what they can do with Streaming $$ production values!
Night breed is super underrated
When "The Platform" aired on NETFLIX I was immediately hooked and fascinated... disgusted and amazed. I like movies which have so little (speaking of budget, sets and few actors) and create so much at the same time! "The Cube" is another example and it's right next to "The Platform" on my list. I can also suggest "The Circle" which is similar in many ways!
Clive Barker is an extraordinary writer. Just think what could be achieved if he was given the funds wasted on WW1984 (for example)......???
Martyrs and Society were WTF movies for me. Although martyrs was more f***ed up movie ever. Societys ending with the people all mushed together was literally a WTF am I watching ordeal. How I managed to watch these two without turning them off I'll never understand '_'
I might add STRANGELAND to this roll-call, if only for the BD/SM shocks.
Necromentia is truly one of the worst horror movies I've ever suffered through. Y'all must've seen something I didn't...
I would add "Dark City", "Event Horizon" and "Silent Hill", all heavily inspired by Hellraiser.
there was no need to spoil the twists of the nightbreed. Just when I was ready to watch it....
What movie is @ 15 seconds into the video ?
Which movie is tat at 0:15 ?
Baskin is straight out of a 4chan /x/ thread.
if only people would stop using shitty twist endings like baskin had. ruins the whole experience.
How about the best examples of Hell in movies
That would be awesome!
Try leveling the audio, it was painful to listen to.
Good selection of films here, and a couple I'd missed, so thanks for that. But as with other people's comments - please stop showing movie endings, it's very frustrating!
How do they always miss out High Tension....
Martyrs is my favorite horror movie
Thanks to that thumbnail all I can imagine is #451 Gabriel "The Sculptor" Sanchez
Martyrs actually has a very happy ending :)
Uh...did we watch the same thing?
Nice!!
good movie list,,
Martyrs has nothing to do with Hellraiser vibe.
