How many bosses are there in the DLC
@@victorolmos3639 isn't that kind of what this is?
@@victorolmos3639this is a faith and dex build
I’ve never heard Fextra so passionate about killing the dang finger creepers lol.
who doesn't hate those things
I thought the same thing!
lol, the most emotion I've heard on this channel and it made me laugh out loud because I 100% agree
Bro’s got finger ptsd
Lmao, just explained to my friend what a finger creeper was and I've never seen this man more disturbed in my life. 😅
"Absolutely fucks up fingers.." is the new "Pancakes enemies" for favorite Fextralife quote.
was quite a shock to hear that, I feel like iv never heard him speak like that lol
Hahahahhaha. Love it!
"Try fire, but Finger!"
i remember in one of the SoNaF build vids early on the called it "fucking stupid damage" or something like that but yeah it's pretty rare lol
Didn’t hear such contempt for an enemy since last time my man Igon took a shot at Bayle.
You can also throw the spear while riding your horse which is more fun than it should be
That’s probably from the clip in the launch trailer
Locking onto enemies has basically auto aim but if you free ball it you feel like a horseman out of hell
This DLC really was good to us faith mains. This weapon became one of my top 5 favorite weapons to use in the whole game, not just DLC.
You’re so right. What would you put as the other 4? I’m interested in building out a couple options without having to respec.
To be honest, there's so many I could name in retrospect. I'd also say that I like black steel hammer over Great Stars because it has good faith scaling. The black steel great shield with sacred affinity boosts it to 100 guard against holy as well.
Waiting for a lightning build with the new death knight weapons and incantations 😁
I second this, we need an updated Lightning God build
I want to see someone build minato with the lightning weapons
The death knight weapons are super fun just wish the long axe L2 had better poise
Full death knight set, 2 gravel stone seal, lightning scorpion charm and shrouding tear.
Using the Dragon Priestess Heart to boost all Dragon Cult lightning incantations. And her weapon does the red lightning bolt
I have been so impressed with this dlc guides and content of the game. Keep at it Fextra! Have a great weekend
Hey bud, so I’ve done extensive talisman testing with this weapon and discovered the following:
In terms of single talisman damage overall, the Two Handed Talisman is stronger than the charge attack talisman and the Fire Scorpion Charm. This is more of an increase, and it does apply to throwing the weapon if you’re two handing.
Also, I would love to be a Shadow contributor to the channel. I watch every video, and have since Elden ring launch.
Who are you that you’re calling him bud 😭
@@beef_baby It’s an informal greeting I use for people I’m not on a comfortable first name basis with.
@@oldscratch2506 would you say hey bud to the Saint of the Bud
yes @@LuisoEsElSrLobo
Thanks for this info, now i have 3 talismans for my charged throws :)
Had to make a build myself for those since there's no guides so thank you very much for this❤❤
The two handed Talisman also increases the charged R2 by 15% so its a lot better then the Axe Talisman or the Smithscript since it buffs everything aside from the weapon skill by 15%. You could also combine this build with the Fire Knights Greatsword (i use flameskewer with flame art infusion for max fire damage) since that weapon profits of every Talisman in this build aswell (i use fire scorpion, Dragoncrest shield, shard of alexander and two handed talisman). The fire knights is better in bossfights since its moveset is not as clunky while messmers is better on horseback and while exploring due to charged R2, hope that helps everyone!
How did you distribute the attributes?
@@giacomocamellini i have 30 faith and 70 dex which is about 800 ar with the +10 spear with golden vow and flame grant me strength its 1700
How much strengh pls ?
The two handed talisman works even when throwing with one hand ?
@@giacomocamellini so on lvl 200 you want about 60 vigor, 20 mind, 35 endurance because we use 2 weapons, 22 strength to carry the Knights greatsword one handed on horseback, 60 dexterity, 60 faith and no points in int or arcane, for seals id either recommend gravel stone for knights ancient lightning spear and ancient dragon lightning strike or fire giant seal for burn o flame, flame of the Fell god, flame fall upon them and giantsflame take thee depending on what u prefer. Buffs are of course flame grant me strength (the +20% fire dmg goes crazy with this one) and golden vow. Flask is fire shrouding (necessary) and either faith, greenburst or spiked for r2 charge attacks. Oh and if you are on ng+ id recommend dual wielding the seal of your choice since the damage multiplier on both the seals I recommended stacks (+32% for gravel and +42% dmg for fire giants). Round the build out with mesmers orb and catch flame since they are op and profit of flame grant me strength, fire scorpion charm and flame shrouding tear. For armor either wear Rakshasas Set for the 8% Bonus dmg for everything or just mesmers helmet+ anything that will give you atleast 51 poise without fat rolling. Hope that helps!
I was hoping for this to drop. Amazing channel
Best tip of any Fextra video ever due to its accurate and explosive description….it fucks up the fingers ❤ worth rewinding at least four times just for that, thank you.
A build around the St. Trina weapons would be fun. A sleep/poison build with the new velvet sword of St. Trina or maybe based of Thiollier's hidden needle.
I love using the throw to lure enemies into the mesmers orb or the weapon skill. It is also goated from torrent against beasts. Nothing beats running circles around the bears and hippos while riddling them with firey spears
Been waiting for this
Been waiting for this loving the spear
Really looking forward to exploring this build, it looks super flashy and still effective, lots of ways to customize. I'm interested to see where the level meta lands (200?) as more folks get through the DLC - I definitely feel like 150 isn't enough anymore with how many builds are starving to effectively pump multiple stat splits while keeping vigor as high as possible. I'd like to see a build video in the future that effectively leverages FP-consumption-based offensive tools (from DLC and/or base game) like the Horned Bairn, et al.
This is the build I was waiting for
first! loving the fextra builds! i made this same one day 2 and its very strong.
This build and armor set looks amazing , im doing this build next 100%🙌🙌
Awesome guides man, loving this one. You'll be hitting that mil subs soon!
Brother this is by far the best build video I've seen keep up the great work. Definitely subscribing lol
I wanted you to make a build on this. THIS IS AWESOME!!!
bro youre awesome - have really good time. totally forgot about this weapon :D
Another amazing video fex, but please get some rest my man, you deserve it
Super duper interested in your take on a Euporia build! I know people have been buzzing about that weapon
Great vid Fex. I'd love to see a dualwield dex/int build soon!
Great. Back into elden ring i go because this looks INSANE
Booted up the tube, hoping fextra finally dropped this weapon build. What can I say fextra always delivers
well done ... feels like my favorite build from you gravity god 💖
This is the coolest weapon period those spears that come out of the ground are wicked.
Fex you are making me run out of larvel tear😭Absolutely love what your doing!!! I farmed all that larvel tear just to wait for your new build video
Been waiting for this one!
Thick video could not have come at a better time. I just beat mesmer last night and was debating a re spec so I could use that weapon
I used impenetrable thorns as my sorcery for this build and works as a great support and alternative for certain enemies
That's some SICK moveset
The throwing R2 makes it so flexible. Top 3 DLC weapon for sure.
Thanks for showing how to use this!
The greaves and gauntlets from the new Solitude set compliment this armor nicely. It matches look wise and shores up the lacking defense and poise
4:02 😂😂😂 I felt that
I love this build! ❤
I've been powerstancing this with Vyke's Greatspear and it's been insanely fun. Messmer's spear is super versatile in combat, def reccommend!
The two Messmer flame incantations are also very solid (ignore the fire rain one it's complete ass)
what's the advantage of power stancing with another greatspear? i'm not doubting, i'm just curious! :)
Love the build vids Fextra! I think the coolest video you could make would be a DLC Weapons are OP video, like your OP Weapons series. I don't know how you'd split it up though, I guess any way you like, because there's, like, 100 of them. But I could see splitting them up by primary scaling stat?
Keep up the great work! Thank you for all you do!
Just fighting Messmer is fun!
I've just got this weapon and I'm loving it! Running a shield with it though. Focusing on guard counters
I hope you make a new gravity build! The new spells and the new ash are awesome!
Yes please do more fire knight builds
been waiting for this for so long, finally!!!
one of the best L2's and range. you dont have to commit either. so good
I honestly made one of your two handed jump attack builds ages ago and I honestly haven’t looked back! Beat the base game and carving up the DLC with it. But I look at these builds and really think about switching sometimes! Love your Elden Ring builds!
Part of the fun is trying out all the weapons and spells. You can always default back to ol reliable. I just tried his dragon build with a little change and got me through two major bosses lol. So fun to play too
@@vinnyc6457 I really need to take the plunge and just try some new things.
LETS GOO!! now i’m waiting for the final boss build 😄
I was rocking this exact build but with messmers flame incantations. Great minds think alike
fantastic looking weapon
Nice video! I would really like to see you do a star-lined sword build.
This build is really good with the Messmer incantations
Just started a faith/dex playthrough to get to the DLC and this spear makes me VERY excited
nice. i still in new game. can’t wait to take this into ng+.
I’ve been bouncing between a dex/faith build using this wep and a str/faith build using the Death knight axes, think the Death Knight axes are edging out for me, would love to see your take on a building using both or one of those :)
This build SAVED my ass for the rest of the DLC. I would have never defeated "Boss Hog-Rider" without it!!!
This one is my next play through🤝🏽🔥
can’t wait to see a starlined sword video
I love this weapon so much and had a really good time running it with 2 handed talisman, axe talisman, smithscript talisman, and shard of alexander. It really just gives you the option to always have an effective attack. Add in the wondrpus flask with the charge attack and fire boosting tears (or for enemies espevislly weak to fire the oil tear and fire tear).
Also, if you want a smaller weapon that still would follow the same stat line and buffs from this build, the Serpent Flail's weapon art also counts for the buffs from the armor, as the flame buff and the explosion from the heavy attack count as messmer flame
A srciptsmith weapon build seems pretty cool. That's what I'm thinking for my next play thru
The fucks up fingers sold me on the build haha. Been doing that bell quest and lord have mercy I almost had a stroke from anger!
I'm not usually into how heavy and slow the *heavy spears* feels but this thing SLAPS
I think a really interesting build would be the backhand blade with the poison flower blooms twice aow (poison infused) that revolves around using the new delfect tear to get a guard counter, which can very quickly proc poison, allowing you to get the extra damage from kindred of rot talisman and the extra damage from the aow trigger. From my testing this combo was really potent and I think it’s definitely a build worth showcasing!
thank you buddy
Really OP build i switched to it for NG+5 and it makes some bosses look basic
This build is actually so fun dude I wish we had more messmer incantations
Both this weapon and the new Mesmer incantations are amazing. Especially fire serpent with its decent damage, low fp, strong tracking and the fact it can be buffed by the Fire knight armor and mesmer helmet
i decided to try this build .. takes some getting used to but it's fun so far .. gonna try it on some bosses just to get it down...
I would love to see a build with Romina’s poleblade.
It’s such a visually pleasing weapon and u just want to know for sure if there’s potential for it.
I would love to see a death knight build using the new lightning weapons and incantations! The synergy between those would be awesome!
Was lerking for a new build, and you provided
This weapon completely sold me when you mentioned it f'ed up the fingers.
You know what build I'd love to see? A dedicated Thrusting Shield build! Love those things, would love to see a build that fully showcases them.
loving the build videos even though i just unga bunga dual great katana lol
love dis build
damn i didn't know about the 3rd follow up. this is why i watch these videos...
Hilarious seeing this video today after already using basically the same build the second I beat Messmer 2 days ago
the fire knight’s greatsword would work very well with this build, and it’s also a really fun weapon
Love this weapon. I went full Messmer armor once I beat him. When you use the first button press of the skill, it's better to use it with next to the enemy. You get the fight hit, and another hit from the spear. It's actually two hits.
Please make a build on devonias greathammer. It is extremely fun to use and very powerful🙏🏼
Rashaka legs and gauntlets would be a great damage increase as well u already have the fire scorpion charm so u might as well maximize on the damage u deal plus it would help with the poise issue
I just made this build but I changed the seal that your using. You can find the Fire Knight Seal in the shadow keep which boosts Messmers Fire incantations. Then you have your armor boosting fire knight skills and the seal boosting the fire incantations.😎
The only thing that I don't like on this weapon is the lackluster R1 combo... or the lack thereof. It's just a basic poke. You really get this weapon for the throw and the skill. Those are amazing.
I'd love to see what you come up with for the Carian Socery sword
I did a similar build but I pumped arcane as well for dragon incants. I basically have the dex requirements for the spear then 50 arcane and I think 40 faith while using the dragon form and the spear together it was super fun
Probs my fave build of yours. Pls do obsidian lamina
I love this new dlc I've got a great bleed health magic build
I'd love if you could make a build based around the anvil hammer, I'm struggling to appoint stats effectively for it
Give us a Repeating Crossbow build and/or thrown weapon build please! Thanks for all you do!
Been doing invasions around the Shadow Keep as a Fire Knight using Messmer's Spear and a bunch of fire incants. Lead in with Messmer's Orb and then AoW to kill whoever is left. Talisman's; Shard of Alexander, Godrey Icon, Flock Canvas, and Fire Scorpian. It's so fun lmao.
I would love to see a Hornsent build with the weapon falx, loving the aesthetic of it all. That using the bleed and Ashe of war with the weapon.
since you guys have done a dragon god build with the rock heart id love to see a dragon cult version with the stone that turns you into the other form that boosts dragon cult incantations. should be straight forward i think still id like to see what you guys come up with
What timing, I just started to put together a build just like this.
Scaled gloves/greaves are matching well enough to keep the general look while reaching 51 poise.
I’m literally here at Messmers door, I both dread and can’t wait to fight (and die to) him a couple dozen times😭. Commander gaius took me a good 10 attempts
one of my favorite weapons in the dlc is the Shadow Sunflower Blossom. a build around that weapon would be awsome. tho it might just end up being a pretty typical strength faith holy build idk.
