Which makes me think it's a trapdoor in the floor, which then makes me think how did you get the sofa and everything else up there. I don't think I want to know how, it's kinda of like how I never look up how illusionists do their stuff. Keep the magic real!

That was a great watch James. The games room is well laid out, clean, with order, and looks very comfortable and cosy. The legendary Neo-Geo consoles look great, and so do your 80's handheld/tabletop games collection. Nice to see your arcade collection room, jam packed full of goodies. Thanks Clay, appreciate you watching, I am really happy with it all now I think, not sure what else I will do I do like now the two Neo Geo consoles are next to each other The triangle thing is called a Coleco Telstar Arcade, it's from the mid 70's I think and there are 4 interchangeable cartridges you can get for it but they are really uncommon You can spin it round the three sides each with their own control method, cool little item All the best for 25 mate, I'm alright thanks, hope you are👍

First time I've seen a tour of your set up mate, absolutely spot on! I love when everything is rigged to play at the push of a button! Some awesome machines in there too, every region catered for. Highlight has to be the OutRun shrine! Not surprised you've covered your electric box up, bet your meter is spinning like a roulette wheel when everything is switched on :D! I really like how your game collection is fine tuned too, all games you love and no filler! I'd rather have 50 good games than 2000 random ones these days, I don't miss my full setting era! I'm going all out on getting my room up to scratch this year, already spent a fortune since xmas and barely added anything to it :D!

Yeah there has been quite a lot of changes really, not sure what else I can do now but sure I will come up with something 🤣 I do feel happy with everything in the most part now though so time will tell I think I'd say 70/30 in favour of the loft but that would be a bit more even in the warmer weather, it gets a bit chilly in the arcade for prolonged periods at the moment 🤣The door is in the floor mate but don't think you could see that in the video Cheers Nick, not bad thanks, hope yours was good 👍

Wow James, the enhancements to the main (or original) room are great but I’m really blown away by how great the arcade area is. Incredibly jealous of the Star Wars arcade, a lovely addition. The micros “desk area” is incredible particularly with the speccy collection on display - dare I say it, it puts the shelves at the Cave to shame 👍. Bravo 👏👏 Happy new year to you and the family mate.

Wow I had no idea you had gone so far in with Arcade 1ups. Like the little 8bit station setup. I’m even thinking about an Atari 400 mini. They’re currently on offer on TGC. I’m even tempted to get a Spectrum when there is a restock of them later in the year. Great stuff James and Happy New Year.
Yes I'm fairly deep down that hole Dylan🤣 stupidly many would say but I like them and they work great for me Yes I'm currently spending most time in the 8bit section, it works great and really comfortable to sit at The 400 mini is great and when it's on offer it's a bargain, with a usb stick full of games there's some great stuff on it that I've never had before The new Spectrum is also excellent, well pleased with that, you have a Next I know but I definitely recommend these All the best for 24 mate👍

Although I am on a full set journey for a few systems I am trying to trim the fat from my collection too…less is more and all that. The 1up cabs look cool, they definitely have a place. Great stuff, James. Kept me company whilst I burned a few extra Christmas calories on the treadmill 🤣 Can't believe it's been a year since your last room tour, remember watching that like it was yesterday as they say. Loads of improvements since last year though and yeah, it's all about quality over quantity. I've never actively gone for a full set of anything but over the years it had crossed my mind but I think I just liked the idea of it rather than the reality. As you say, having the cream of the crop and maybe taking a punt on a game here and there is the right approach.
Funnily enough I watch a lot of RUclips while I'm on the treadmill or bike so good to hear it's not just me🤣 The time soon flies round doesn't it, get worse with age I fear🤣 Thanks Alex, I definitely feel in a good place with it now, certainly quality over quantity, I've got more games now than I can ever play so will only be adding good stuff I want now that crops up👍

I totally agree, Renegade is one of the greatest games ever created, awesome speccy collection. Awesome collection of cabs and racing rigs, great room, as with the first I could happily spend hours in there. Brilliant spaces, amazing collection 👏. What a good way to kick off the new years utube with a RIG room tours vid, a proper gamers gamesroom, you actually play games, also refreshing to hear that not everything you showed and highlighted was accompanied by the words "heavy hitter" or words to that effect, something that makes me cringe tbh lol everything you own you appreciate owning, money doesn't come into it for a lot of people, appreciation and passion does for me. As Stu said I'd prefer to see a collection of 50 games that are appreciated as games and used than thousands bought for no reason than to fill shelves or make vids, mind you you've amassed thousands anyway, a lifetimes worth of gaming 😂😂 I wonder just how many screens and systems make up everything? definitely a lot 😂 The library wall is looking good, just one shelf spoils it 😂 you know the one, even that looks nice in all seriousness, you have a lot of love for that really old jurassic era of gaming, I do for the arcade games of that era as they were so far advanced from what we had at home but only used to buy games for those systems when I used to be a collector, never play them, I have always embraced the progression of the gaming medium so never been put off by the next gen systems, not so much nowadays I guess though. The two cabs have gone up there well, they serve a purpose and still work, not sure if you had an og star wars cab you'd have had it a few years without problems cropping up. I think I like the sofa area the best, looks like a relaxing place to stick your feet up and go for a drive or have a scrap. Lovely to see the outrun shrine still in place, that's what it's all about, giving some nods to some favourites if you can, not shoehorning, get the surplus boxed up and out of the way lol You've got to source a retro wooden telly, that's an official 2025 challenge, would be seriously cool for the retro section The garage section definitely seems much better than the last tour, I suppose you've lived with it for a bit and then made improvements, impossible to get things spot on first time. Dad's Army, yes, agree, I'd have to rank it number one too. The mini systems are nice, work so well doing away with all the issues of tape loading, just need a cpc one 😂 Nice placement of the shinobi side art, if I still had it then it would still be squashed in a box 😂 hides the magnet slowing down the electric meter nicely 😂 The one up line looks good too. All your hard work has paid off, now you've got everything you need more or less it's time to play everything, that is a joke btw as I'm sure you've said that before and added loads more since 😂😂

@@retroimportgamer513Yep, I'm not as experienced as you at setting up a proper gamesroom but as you say it's a case of doing something, living with it and then seeing what works and what doesn't, it would be impossible to plan that loft room of yours on paper and get it right first time, you've had years of fettling to get it to the position your at now. For me pretty much nothing I planned on paper last year actually happened and in effect now lol I was actually thinking about it all earlier after speaking to Daz, enjoying the work though. in my past collector life I went down the warehouse style route, had no option really but back then I was different, like yourself I now I only keep things I appreciate and want.

Love the 8bit section, what is the ref of the Panasonic screen? The 80's LED tabletop display is perfect. Had to put mine away as just don't have space for them. Shame about Puck Monster, that's a great one. The Ms Pacman cab looks fab. Yeah I love Rompers, never played it until my Pacmania 1up.

Definitely quality over quantity is the way to go I think and only looking to add some choice items going forward as fairly happy with all my collections now

Yes, my previous house loft had that problem, red hot and freezing cold, I made sure I insulated properly this time when I built the room, it does fluctuate now but it's very manageable 95% of the time

Sounds like you have fine tuned it to a point where everything is so accessible and easy to play, no faffing around to find games as everything feels like its in its proper place !
I especially like the arcade area with the new desk setup - in which area do end up spending most of your time playing games? and where is the entrance to the loft it seems really well hidden 😂

I think I'd say 70/30 in favour of the loft but that would be a bit more even in the warmer weather, it gets a bit chilly in the arcade for prolonged periods at the moment

Wow James, the enhancements to the main (or original) room are great but I’m really blown away by how great the arcade area is. Incredibly jealous of the Star Wars arcade, a lovely addition. The micros “desk area” is incredible particularly with the speccy collection on display - dare I say it, it puts the shelves at the Cave to shame 👍. Bravo 👏👏

Like the little 8bit station setup. I’m even thinking about an Atari 400 mini. They’re currently on offer on TGC. I’m even tempted to get a Spectrum when there is a restock of them later in the year.

Yes I'm currently spending most time in the 8bit section, it works great and really comfortable to sit at
The 400 mini is great and when it's on offer it's a bargain, with a usb stick full of games there's some great stuff on it that I've never had before
The new Spectrum is also excellent, well pleased with that, you have a Next I know but I definitely recommend these

Bloody awesome James, cool to hear u have been fine tuning the collection to what matters most to u now. Although I am on a full set journey for a few systems I am trying to trim the fat from my collection too…less is more and all that. The 1up cabs look cool, they definitely have a place.
There is still plenty in there to keep you entertained for many lifetimes.

Kept me company whilst I burned a few extra Christmas calories on the treadmill 🤣 Can't believe it's been a year since your last room tour, remember watching that like it was yesterday as they say. Loads of improvements since last year though and yeah, it's all about quality over quantity. I've never actively gone for a full set of anything but over the years it had crossed my mind but I think I just liked the idea of it rather than the reality. As you say, having the cream of the crop and maybe taking a punt on a game here and there is the right approach.
Funnily enough I watch a lot of RUclips while I'm on the treadmill or bike so good to hear it's not just me🤣
The time soon flies round doesn't it, get worse with age I fear🤣

What a good way to kick off the new years utube with a RIG room tours vid, a proper gamers gamesroom, you actually play games, also refreshing to hear that not everything you showed and highlighted was accompanied by the words "heavy hitter" or words to that effect, something that makes me cringe tbh lol everything you own you appreciate owning, money doesn't come into it for a lot of people, appreciation and passion does for me.
As Stu said I'd prefer to see a collection of 50 games that are appreciated as games and used than thousands bought for no reason than to fill shelves or make vids, mind you you've amassed thousands anyway, a lifetimes worth of gaming 😂😂

The library wall is looking good, just one shelf spoils it 😂 you know the one, even that looks nice in all seriousness, you have a lot of love for that really old jurassic era of gaming, I do for the arcade games of that era as they were so far advanced from what we had at home but only used to buy games for those systems when I used to be a collector, never play them, I have always embraced the progression of the gaming medium so never been put off by the next gen systems, not so much nowadays I guess though.
The two cabs have gone up there well, they serve a purpose and still work, not sure if you had an og star wars cab you'd have had it a few years without problems cropping up.
I think I like the sofa area the best, looks like a relaxing place to stick your feet up and go for a drive or have a scrap.
Lovely to see the outrun shrine still in place, that's what it's all about, giving some nods to some favourites if you can, not shoehorning, get the surplus boxed up and out of the way lol
You've got to source a retro wooden telly, that's an official 2025 challenge, would be seriously cool for the retro section
The garage section definitely seems much better than the last tour, I suppose you've lived with it for a bit and then made improvements, impossible to get things spot on first time.

The mini systems are nice, work so well doing away with all the issues of tape loading, just need a cpc one 😂

@@retroimportgamer513Yep, I'm not as experienced as you at setting up a proper gamesroom but as you say it's a case of doing something, living with it and then seeing what works and what doesn't, it would be impossible to plan that loft room of yours on paper and get it right first time, you've had years of fettling to get it to the position your at now.
For me pretty much nothing I planned on paper last year actually happened and in effect now lol I was actually thinking about it all earlier after speaking to Daz, enjoying the work though.
in my past collector life I went down the warehouse style route, had no option really but back then I was different, like yourself I now I only keep things I appreciate and want.

The 80's LED tabletop display is perfect. Had to put mine away as just don't have space for them. Shame about Puck Monster, that's a great one.

Hehe I accept full responsibility there, 8bit era games are so perfect for pickup and play, the older I get the more I appreciate that fact. I'm no good at committing to lengthy games any more.
