She was right. I had thrown mine to the river after 20+ years ownership. It's my birthstone, but still... Before having them, life was already uneasy, but happy and manageable. After having them, problems got bigger and mental depression came along. They couldn't even be sold to others. Had to throw them away. Otherwise the bad luck would stay.
I'm an October, but couldn't handle opals, too. So sorry, I don't mean to be superstitious. After 20+ years of having opals, I threw them to the river. Eventhough they're pretty and expensive. Prior to having opals, life was uneasy, but happy. Zero depression . After having opals, more problems came. Not to mention the abnormal depression. Yesterday I threw all of them to the river. Now depression has gone. There are problems still, but manageable.
