This tactic worked pretty well. I also recommend using lots of jet if you get overwhelmed with molerats. Always climb up somewhere because the molerats won't be able to bite you. And probably the most important thing, make as many saves as possible. One time a mole rat bite me from behind because it spawned somehow in the area that is actually secured with the security doors (which I closed).
One thing that I found is that when my when I had one of my companions with me when they got bit it somehow gave me the disease I don't know why but from what I know just don't bring your companions with you during that event

There is a glitch where you can cure both yourself and the kid. At the end of the quest, just tell the doctor to heal the kid, and then before he takes it quickly pull away, take the cure on your pip-boy, and the quest script will continue as if you gave the cure.
i still got disease after unlock gate to curie. not bring any companion, not unlock robot, not using power armor to run without getting bit, but i think game forcing you to get the disease

I went lone wolf saving every second threw molotov cocktails on any plot of dirt and one shoting (with some exeptions) every mole rat with a poweful suppressed assault rifle and I didn't get infected

But if I'm not mistaking, it was something like this: Before you give the cure to the doctor, you tell him that you wanna keep it for yourself then exit the conversation and use the cure on yourself then enter the conversation again and tell him that you were joking. I tries this like a month ago and it still works.
You used med-x or a stimpacks while poisoned, this will cause your perception to be permanently stuck at 1. If you're on PC just use console commands to fix this, or if you're on xbox you need to get a piece of poison resistance armor, find a stinging, get hit with the poison, then run away to a safe spot, drop your poison resist piece of armor before the poison wears off, then rinse and repeat until you have your perception again.

if this was about taking the EASY way out then it wouldn't be worth doing. no, its about giving a giant middle finger to the devs of this game who were dead set on doing everything possible to make sure you get this disease without actually forcing it on you.
For those of you wondering yes if your companion gets bit you do get infected for some stupid reason

Another good thing to do is activate the protectron so it can Agro the molerats away from you it’s especially helpful when you have a strath build

You can also do this entire section with a couple mini nukes a couple explosives and make sure they never get close to you by blowing them all up

This was the hardest thing in the world but i some how went x games mode and passed it without getting bitten
Bring a shitload of grenades, mines and molotovs and when you think you've brought enough....bring some more.
I went into this blind and got the disease but honestly -10 HP is not the worst thing in the world when during the day my endurance is 13😂
I just did a power armor clip through to the ending elevator and just talked right to curie, worked well without issue
So running and shooting and stealth feels like left 4 dead all over again.

It doesn't work that way. Even if your companion or the protectron gets hit it still gives you the disease regardless.
Leave the companion behind, use loads of jet, quick save a whole bunch.

are you using a companion, if any companion or robot get bitten you get the mole rat dease
I managed to do this in power armor without a stealth boy
You activated the stealth boy too soon because the molerats won't spawn again until you start to go up the ladder.
