For men ... the are only 2 solutions ... first extract from my own blood and select the ones with less damage ... or second ... if the kind of damages differ between the mitichondrias ... it may be possible to replace damaged parts by korrect parts from others ...

For the greater part of our evolution, frequent or regular meals were not the norm and it was situation of feast or famine and we've adapted quite well to survive in times of low food availability. Fasting also promotes autophagy, a process by which old, damaged, and worn out cells are mopped up and removed to be replaced by new healthy ones, including mitochondria.

    • @allenbrost9564

@@GothicSteven your confounding surviving with thriving. There's no doubt the human body is adaptable and can get by when times are lean, but that comes as a sacrifice at being optimal. Energy is everything and when you don't have it the body doesn't work optimally. You're also confounding a diet of constant garbage versus eating nutritious food. When you fast from garbage undoubtedly this is positive but not the same as always fueling your body with nutrition. Also there is evidence that autography is always happening not just when you fast.

Just my theory and why you will feel 10 years younger.

Its like star wars the force jajaja practices like fasting, selfless service to others, using the sauna, and engaging in meditation and yoga have been suggested to positively impact mitochondrial health and function. Fasting, for example, is known to stimulate mitochondrial biogenesis, which is the process by which new mitochondria are formed in the cell, enhancing the cells' ability to produce energy. Similarly, activities like yoga and meditation are associated with reduced stress and improved cellular health, which may indirectly support mitochondrial function by reducing oxidative stress and enhancing overall well-being. While the direct impact of selfless service on mitochondria isn't well-documented in scientific literature, the reduction in psychological stress and the improvement in mental health often associated with altruism could potentially contribute to better cellular health, including that of mitochondria. These practices collectively could be seen as holistic ways to enhance physical and mental health, possibly supporting mitochondrial function and contributing to longevity and better quality of life.

This company is in business not for altruistic reasons, but rather for profit, just like every other company. You'd better believe that this won't be paid for by your health insurance or medicare. You'd be better off making positive changes to your lifestyle and by daily intermittent fasting with periodic longer fasting to enhance the process of autophagy, which helps to clean up old and damaged mitochondria and cells.

The proof of concept study of mitochondrial transfustion is interesting however the interpretation is problematic. Sepsis causes severe baseline mitochondrial disruption and dysfunction. Mitochondrial transfusion, assuming there is no immune response to the foreign mitochondria, might restore basal mitochondrial function. This is unrelated to the aging process or recovery of the immune system.

Very cool, if this develops as the presenter predicts we may find that a lot of "modern medicine" is treating things too late and in the wrong way.
The book Power, Sex, Suicide by Nick Lane is an excellent overview of mitochondria, full of things you probably don't know. I now can't remember the details, but the DNA that enables mitochondrial functions is actually distributed between the mitochondria and the cellular nucleus. So "mitochondrial DNA damage" can happen in either the mitochondria or in the cell's nucleus or both.

Maybe this is only promotional... But I would have liked to hear more about where this doesnt work; uncertainty, inconsistencies in the results, if results could be promoted or demoted by another factor not isolated by the experiments, etc. I'm not so sure it's a miracle cure just yet, otherwise we would be hearing more about it... A few years is enough for it to be widely considered by the scientific community at least, no? If anyone can fill in any of these details, that would be great.

  • @33Crazydude

I'm no scientist, and my opinion may not hold much weight, but I believe the initial decline in mitochondria is driven by a kind of biological clock that gradually downregulates cellular processes in each species. Once this metaphorical clock starts to decline, it damages mitochondria, setting off a feedback loop where the compromised mitochondria, in turn, accelerate damage to the body.
Take the bowhead whale, for instance-these creatures can live for 200 years and have a vastly larger biomass than humans, meaning more cells and more mitochondria, all derived from their mother's mitochondria.
So, why do their mitochondria remain stable for so much longer? Given the far greater number of mitochondrial divisions and replications over such a long lifespan, it’s surprising they live so much longer without the same decline we see in humans.
I understand that many scientists are sceptical of the biological clock theory of ageing, but I sometimes wonder if there might be something to it.

Longevity is still scattered and fragmented. I think huge strides can be made in 10-20 years, but only if major governments prioritizes it. Probably it will have to be the US and it should be a moon landing or Manhattan project level of coordinated commitment and resources. AI will of course be a big part of it.
If that doesn't happen, anyone who is over 30 now are unlikely to benefit much from longevity science.

Well, if you have painfree and quality of life til you die, then you've won the game called life.
BUT it seems most people think living as long as possible is more important than quality of life, because people in general live with diseases and are bedridden etc the last 10 to 30 years, or earlier, of their lives. That's not living, that's dying slowly in agony where you wish for death much sooner.
If I can keep my health (I'm 43 btw and healthy because I do certain things) til I die, I'm happy. But if I get sick and my life quality goes down due to bad advice, and ofc manipulation and brainwashing, I would want to die early. Don't 100% trust your doctor when it comes to their medical practice which is VERY narrow, or most of what mainstream media says and keep an open mind where you will find stuff that can and will help you treat disease and other ailments, and make your life a lot better and healthier.
Most people are sick due to bad advice and manipulation, the lack of good information, not the other way around.
