Aoyama’s reveal made me flashback to all the scenes back then. Particularly, him hiding from the villains during the camp arc and got so scared shooting his laser at the villains and kinda ruined the kidnapping. EDIT!!!! I just realized something! Back in the training camp, Aoyama was “training” his navel laser by spamming to the sky… but that was actually a signal/beacon for the villains 🤯

Aoyama always knows where the cameras are because he's always being watched. AND who is always behind a screen . . . AFO. Not to mention the creepy way he approached Deku with the cheese. I think Aoyama might have thought Deku was one of AFO's too.
I always thought it would be interesting if the class started to suspect Deku as the traitor. A guy who was apparently quirkless before ends up developing seemingly multiple super strong quirks? If the story was told from the perspective of any other character that would be mad suspicious to the audience.
I think so too. Deku is the only other person we’ve seen (at least in the anime) who’s quirk hurt the user so dramatically with so little usage. Other people do suffer if they use their quirks too much but Aoyama and Deku both start off being hurt by their quirks with any usage at all. Dabi might be the only person we’ve seen actually born with a quirk that doesn’t suit his body and even he didn’t start off with a limit that small.
Oh crap, I just realized something horrifying. If Aoyama's rigged to explode the moment he goes rogue like Lady Nagant, does it happen right away or does AFO decide to delay it to give Class 1-A a false of security that they can free Aoyama?
Deku has really lucked out. He not only could’ve been targeted by the doctor for having a quirk but if he didn’t meet all might, inko could’ve been approached and blackmailed by AFO to have a quirk for her son. Just to make him happy.

I also always thought it was interesting how Aoyama was introduced extremely early on, alongside Iida and Uraraka in the entrance exam without seemingly having as much plot relevance. lol

I always felt something was sort of sad with Aoyama. Even when he is outspoken he is ignored, written off as being annoying. Unlike everyone else, he never seems to have formed a group of regulars to hang out with. Yes he approached Midoriya and had a moment with Ida in the license exam, but it was temporary and really never went anywhere. It honestly felt he was constantly forcing himself to be so showy. Others might see it as being conceited or obnoxious. Honestly it was like mask representing the opposite person he wanted to be. As he stated within his backstory he always hated being different. Even when he got a quirk he had to act, live, and feel differently regardless he wanted to or not. He was stuck. I was honestly surprised he held out so long and did not snap under pressure & stress. His interactions with Midoriya, while part of his forced mission, also serves as sign of him looking for solace with another he actually relates to. They both were socially awkward quirkless kids that gained quirks through another unexpected source. The difference here is that his freedom and peace was taken from him. Unlike Deku, Aoyama is what if he lacked the positive influence and support once gaining a quirk. No All Might, no loveable Inko, or any REAL friends. He was thrown headfirst into things outside if control and suffered for it.
What's also sad is that he probably refrained from making deeper connections because of his sense of guilt. He only approached Deku when AFO was sent to prison, and even then he was feeling compelled to hide his truth.
Truth be told, Midoriyas Freedom and Peace were also taken from him though. He is destined to fight AFO just by virtue of having OFA. And its destined to be a death match.
It was said that he and Deku were close friends and I think that was his one joy in the class personally. I feel like he does like flashy and shiny things, but he just feels constantly weighed down by his guilt as the traitor and thus can't find contentment in who he is.
One thing that people missed out in him being the traitor was that aside from watching Midoriya sleep at night, but when the league of villains attacked the training camps Dabi didn’t attack Aoyama or even called Aoyama out for hiding in the bushes either.
I always thought Dabi didn't care to fight Aoyama, like "you're such a coward, im not gonna fight you" type of thing.. But after he was revealed as the traitor it makes sense
I love how everybody was crucifying Hori like yesterday over him possibly making Invisible Girl the traitor and now everybody is back to praising and loving him. I know that that sounded rude and salty and I didn't intend to make fun of those who fell for the trick, I'm just saying that people should have more faith in writers. Even if Invisible Girl was the traitor, who's to say it would be a bad decision? It could've gone well. Don't be so quick to throw up pitchforks.

I think that Aoyama's Quirk has a ticking bomb waiting to explode if he fails just like Lady Lagant when she fails to her mission. And the Quirk itself is just slowly punishing Aoyama if he fails or betrays.
What most stood out to me hinting that Aoyama was the traitor, was when he asked if anyone knew where he was during the USJ attack. After Horikoshi released the creepy eye monster art, that convinced me 100% that no one else could be the traitor.
YESS, for a long time I was thinking about Aoyama being the traitor. To me, he stood out so much yet so little throughout the series and when he released that art, my case was closed on the traitor theory. I absolutely love this sweet boy, it’s heartbreaking as much as I refused to believe it.
What’s interesting is that Aoyama foreshadowed Dabi’s twist by revealing it was possible to be incompatible with a quirk you were born with. But we actually get an explanation as to why Dabi is incompatible with his quirk (his father tried mixing two incompatible quirks) whereas we don’t get an explanation for Aoyama’s, which foreshadows that he’s incompatible with his quirk for a different reason. Two huge but seemingly unrelated plot twists are built off of each other.
If Aoyama ends up dying, imagine the effect that'll have on the teachers, students, and families. Inko is already fearing for Midoriya's life. Aizawa has seen so much death and torture, and he actually likes his class- stood up for them and defended them several times- imagine what'll happen when he finds out that one of the very people he swore to protect was a ticking time bomb. What'll happen to UA? They swore to the public that they made sure there was no traitor. Will the families lose faith in them? Will the school get shut down for good? Aoyama was a loner til All For One was arrested. Now he has friends. What will they feel? How will the students's already fragile mental states be affected? Especially if they have to watch him die. If the school survives the public beating, what then? Will the students still be allowed by their families to attend? I'm so full of so many questions it's honestly killing me
THIS. I always KNEW there was a deeper meaning behind Aoyama’s actions in the provisional license exam, but I could never place a finger on what. Thanks for putting it into words. This moment of sacrifice, his hero name, the messages to Deku and their parallels, and even the way he always looks at the camera - Horikoshi actually did amazing in foreshadowing this very reveal. Now, this begs the question, should we expect to see a parallel to this episode in season 3 in the coming chapters? I can see Aoyama once again acting as a beacon, but this time not through his quirk but his status as the traitor - drawing the rest of the class to his position, where they all too will find out themselves. Maybe Iida will have a big part to play again?
I wonder if Aoyama constantly breaking the 4th wall was him actually always assuming he was being watched by AFO and, being paranoid AND a bad actor, would look at "the camera" in order to show AFO that he was always on mission and obeying orders.

people want to bring down everything aoyama has ever done because he's the traitor. but he is actually a kind, heroic person, forced into doing something unspeakable. just because he leaks information does not mean he will act as a villain in any aspect of his life.
I love how he breaks out of the characther when you can't see his eyes but poor boy tho. He was shunned by his peers because he didn't have a quirk, he understood how deku felt because they both got quirks which would hurt their bodies, he probably even hates his quirk since he feel's that it is useless since it is not his and he can't even control it, his actions put his own classmates in the danger and he had to think himself as a over the top characther so that he wouldn't be suspicous to others too and now he has a mental breakdown over his actions and he can't force himself to do it anymore.

I always thought the scene in provisional license exam was hinting at something The parallel between him and Deku and the fact that similar things were experienced by them. Also, aoyama was one of the people against bakugo rescue in 3rd season. But rather than concern, he showed fear. He was afraid about his classmates going to rescue bakugo while others seemed to be concerned. Then comes season 4. "Your body is not made for my quirk, just like me." This is a big part of why Aoyama has always been my favorite character. He's so intriguing yet at the same time there's always been this cloud of mystery behind what he does. There''s always been the sense that he has a bigger role to play, and it keeps you wondering consistently. I personally have been thinking for a few months that he's an unwilling traitor, so having that theory proven right I just wonder what he's gonna do in the future. Hori did really well at crafting his big reveal and I'm thoroughly impressed. EDIT: WAIT I NEVER THOUGHT OF HIS FROWN THAT WAY EDIT 2: ok there’s just one thing that confuses me here. 1. It’s said in the new chapter that Aoyama was relieved when AFO was imprisoned because he figured he didn’t have to work for him anymore and he could finally be like everyone else. If that’s the case why would he have tried to get kicked out? Guilt maybe?

You guys remember the red herring episode where we were trolled that Aoyama was the traitor but he was just trying to cheer Midoriya up? Definitely threw me off lol. Come to think of it though, in that episode when Aoyama told Midoriya that he was just like him, he must have meant that they both had their quirk passed on to them. Goosebumps just thinking about how it hits different now.
8:06 So his hero name was more of like a cry for help, like, “I can’t drop this facade.” Poor guy’s been trying to speak about this for so long, but kept his lips sealed to protect his parents. In a way, there’s also the fact that nearly every scene he was in, he was looking toward US - the audience - for that help. He wanted us to help him, and all we could do was watch. Poor Aouyoma 😭 I’ve gotta admit though, this bombshell of a truth makes me think back to Uraraka’s exchange with Aouyoma during their practical exams at the end of Season 2. Asking if she had a crush on Deku, Aouyoma also accidentally got intel for AFO about someone close to Deku, and I wouldn’t be surprised if something happens to Ochaco as a result. I mean I don’t want IzuxOcha to be forced as her being a damsel in distress for Deku to save, but I feel like something will come up.

He's actually been giving hints the whole time. Asking everyone if they knew where he was during the attack on the training grounds hoping someone would notice something was off. We viewers even saw Dabi leaving him alone although he noticed him cowering behind a bush.

That might explain the episode where Aoyama tells Midoriya that they are the same in terms of having a quirk unfit for their body. They both received a quirk even though they weren‘t supposed to have one. That might’ve been another hint, this time to a person in direct contact with All Might, that something was off. He knew that Midoriya is All Might‘s successor and a person to potentially know about All for One.
I always thought he directly sought deku because everyone saw how much deku's quirk hurts him during training and battles, and aside from him the only one who could relate to this pain was aoyama sure the other quirks also have their drawbacks and side effects and aoyama could relate to those too but deku's "superstrenght" has the most immediate side effect just like navel laser
Wow now he's pararelled with Deku. One got his quirk from the number 1 hero, one got it from the number 1 villain. And to think that both of em used to struggle with their quirk because it does not fit their body is just bruhh
I mean, when I think of twinkling I think of stars that are blinking. So while the other heroes are out there shining constantly like the sun, Aoyama is forced to repeatedly blink and step out of the light to join the shadows before meeting up with his fellow lights/students/heroes.
After watching this video everything makes sense, you LITERALLY pointed out everything that flew over my head, how did I not notice these subtle hints and they all make so much sense now, I agree with the theory he was probably angry that he didn’t get out during the provisional license, honestly ur a genius and this breakdown gets an up from me, can’t wait for the next chapter already !
I don't know if it makes it worse or better, but considering Midnight was the only one to actually support his name, even changing it a bit, instead of asking to change, may have had an impact on Aoyama, considering he might blame himself for her death.
Honestly when the scene showed him as a little kid crying to his parents about why he was different, I instantly thought that he was born quirkless like Izuku but since his parents are so rich and want to see him happy cause they love him so much that they got him a belt so he could pass as someone with a quirk. It seemed like a good explanation as to why he's in so much pain whenever he uses it for too long cause it's just a side effect of an experimental technology. To know that he got it from AFO and that he's the traitor...man, that came out of left field for me :(
Yeah, I really felt sad for him that he doesn't have a group of friends, maybe he wanted to join but he can't, the guilt will kill him. But knowing the reason why he doesn't really had best friend , Im really felt sad for him. I only thought he is a narcissist and enjoyed being alone but turns out, he just doesn't want to dissapoint them if they found out that he's a traitor, he smile every time but deep inside he was hurting and he can't tell it to anyone. I remember at the end of the USJ incident all the 1A kids were talking about where they were dropped, and how they had to fight their way to safety, and at one point Aoyama proclaims that nobody had asked about where he was dropped and when one of the girl asked him where he fell, he jumped in their face and immediately said It's a secret!" I figured if one of the adults wasn't the traitor it had to be him.

I think you’ve got villain lens on against Ayoma. He thought he was safe at this point, the “why” was just yet another realization that his class who he betrayed will keep coming back and giving their all for him.
Remember that one scene when they where on that training trip thing when ya got attached. There is a scene where dabi is doing his attach by and he looks directly at aoyama who was hiding. And dabi completely ignores aoyama which I found very suspicious but now that he's a traitor it makes sence
I feel like Aoyama was the reason why Bakugou was taken by the League in the training camp. To Aoyama, Bakugou is fit to be a villain considering he's a delinquent in the class but has a great quirk. But Aoyama and the League didn't know that Bakugou really wants to be a hero that can pass through All Might like Deku. In short they lack the knowledge that Bakugou isn't a stray from the hero course, his attitude just shows off like a delinquent that's all.

One of my favorite pieces of evidence was back before the USJ attack--Aoyama talks about how great his quirk is and Mina says that it's not that great if it always makes his stomach explode. He gets visibly uncomfortable but doesn't say anything. How did he get that quirk? Through All For One. Why is the USJ attack happening? Because Aoyama leaked the info to AFO. Basically, Mina is reminding him why his quirk wasn't worth getting.
There a fic where Aoyama said he never wanted to be a hero, he wanted to do fashion or be a model for fashion. I could see that, he always posing, and trying to stand out, while as a hero, he could do that. It always felt selfish or strange, was he like those heros who only did hero work to be famous or rich? No i think it because he was forced to go to the U.A. School, and forced to be a spy, He had to give up his REAL dream of working in fashion or modeling, he could at get part of it in the hero academy, be Dazzling one way or another.
that was the one scene that had totally sold me on Aoyama is the traitor. The Only reason he would wanna fail that exam was because he was the traitor and he wanted it out. My husband told me I was speculating too much.

The other thing you didn't mention... there's actually a point where he jumps in the air and a student says "that targets mine!" And he literally has his hands behind his head, accepting it, or wanting it, and even replies "oui!" But Ida yanks him out of the way at the last second
I really want to examine the chapter where Aoyama spies on deku outside of his room and behaves weirdly towards Deku. Somehow that chapter makes me interested after watching this video.

I hope Aoyama can be saved somehow, maybe Nagant was a "what could happen" and an explanation on why Aoyama obeys, instead of straight up foreshadowing of what will happen. I feel so bad for him.
"Saved", he is a kid being blackmailed, he did not do any of this of his own volition, in all capacity who is going to choose their classmates over their parent's lives being threatened. Lady Nagant did this out of an ideological conviction. If you paid a lick of attention throughout the show, the hero system is a plot point and a point Horikoshi's writing has clearly criticized as a societal flaw (hence why he made the LOV have sympathetic motivations, especially someone like Spinner), hence why it created someone like her.
@@vannakinder352 I am well aware of the hero system being messed up and needing to be torn down and built anew! I mean saved as in made it so AFO can't remotely blow up him or his parents anymore! And the public made aware of his situation so that the higher ups in the hero society can't use him as a scapegoat and Aoyama can go on to live his life in whatever way he wants!

I always thought it would be interesting if the class started to suspect Deku as the traitor. A guy who was apparently quirkless before ends up developing seemingly multiple super strong quirks? If the story was told from the perspective of any other character that would be mad suspicious to the audience.

I think so too. Deku is the only other person we’ve seen (at least in the anime) who’s quirk hurt the user so dramatically with so little usage. Other people do suffer if they use their quirks too much but Aoyama and Deku both start off being hurt by their quirks with any usage at all.
Dabi might be the only person we’ve seen actually born with a quirk that doesn’t suit his body and even he didn’t start off with a limit that small.

Deku has really lucked out. He not only could’ve been targeted by the doctor for having a quirk but if he didn’t meet all might, inko could’ve been approached and blackmailed by AFO to have a quirk for her son. Just to make him happy.

I always felt something was sort of sad with Aoyama. Even when he is outspoken he is ignored, written off as being annoying. Unlike everyone else, he never seems to have formed a group of regulars to hang out with. Yes he approached Midoriya and had a moment with Ida in the license exam, but it was temporary and really never went anywhere.
It honestly felt he was constantly forcing himself to be so showy. Others might see it as being conceited or obnoxious. Honestly it was like mask representing the opposite person he wanted to be. As he stated within his backstory he always hated being different.
Even when he got a quirk he had to act, live, and feel differently regardless he wanted to or not. He was stuck. I was honestly surprised he held out so long and did not snap under pressure & stress.
His interactions with Midoriya, while part of his forced mission, also serves as sign of him looking for solace with another he actually relates to. They both were socially awkward quirkless kids that gained quirks through another unexpected source. The difference here is that his freedom and peace was taken from him.
Unlike Deku, Aoyama is what if he lacked the positive influence and support once gaining a quirk. No All Might, no loveable Inko, or any REAL friends. He was thrown headfirst into things outside if control and suffered for it.
What's also sad is that he probably refrained from making deeper connections because of his sense of guilt. He only approached Deku when AFO was sent to prison, and even then he was feeling compelled to hide his truth.

It was said that he and Deku were close friends and I think that was his one joy in the class personally. I feel like he does like flashy and shiny things, but he just feels constantly weighed down by his guilt as the traitor and thus can't find contentment in who he is.

One thing that people missed out in him being the traitor was that aside from watching Midoriya sleep at night, but when the league of villains attacked the training camps Dabi didn’t attack Aoyama or even called Aoyama out for hiding in the bushes either.
I always thought Dabi didn't care to fight Aoyama, like "you're such a coward, im not gonna fight you" type of thing.. But after he was revealed as the traitor it makes sense
I love how everybody was crucifying Hori like yesterday over him possibly making Invisible Girl the traitor and now everybody is back to praising and loving him. What most stood out to me hinting that Aoyama was the traitor, was when he asked if anyone knew where he was during the USJ attack.
After Horikoshi released the creepy eye monster art, that convinced me 100% that no one else could be the traitor.
YESS, for a long time I was thinking about Aoyama being the traitor. To me, he stood out so much yet so little throughout the series and when he released that art, my case was closed on the traitor theory. I absolutely love this sweet boy, it’s heartbreaking as much as I refused to believe it.

What’s interesting is that Aoyama foreshadowed Dabi’s twist by revealing it was possible to be incompatible with a quirk you were born with. But we actually get an explanation as to why Dabi is incompatible with his quirk (his father tried mixing two incompatible quirks) whereas we don’t get an explanation for Aoyama’s, which foreshadows that he’s incompatible with his quirk for a different reason. Two huge but seemingly unrelated plot twists are built off of each other.
If Aoyama ends up dying, imagine the effect that'll have on the teachers, students, and families. Inko is already fearing for Midoriya's life. Aizawa has seen so much death and torture, and he actually likes his class- stood up for them and defended them several times- imagine what'll happen when he finds out that one of the very people he swore to protect was a ticking time bomb. What'll happen to UA? They swore to the public that they made sure there was no traitor. Will the families lose faith in them? Will the school get shut down for good? Aoyama was a loner til All For One was arrested. Now he has friends. What will they feel? How will the students's already fragile mental states be affected? Especially if they have to watch him die. If the school survives the public beating, what then? Will the students still be allowed by their families to attend? I'm so full of so many questions it's honestly killing me

THIS. I always KNEW there was a deeper meaning behind Aoyama’s actions in the provisional license exam, but I could never place a finger on what. Thanks for putting it into words. This moment of sacrifice, his hero name, the messages to Deku and their parallels, and even the way he always looks at the camera - Horikoshi actually did amazing in foreshadowing this very reveal.
Now, this begs the question, should we expect to see a parallel to this episode in season 3 in the coming chapters? I can see Aoyama once again acting as a beacon, but this time not through his quirk but his status as the traitor - drawing the rest of the class to his position, where they all too will find out themselves. Maybe Iida will have a big part to play again?

Aoyama is very clearly a nice person at heart. Can't imagine the mental torment he has been through to do this.
I love how he breaks out of the characther when you can't see his eyes but poor boy tho. He was shunned by his peers because he didn't have a quirk, he understood how deku felt because they both got quirks which would hurt their bodies, he probably even hates his quirk since he feel's that it is useless since it is not his and he can't even control it, his actions put his own classmates in the danger and he had to think himself as a over the top characther so that he wouldn't be suspicous to others too and now he has a mental breakdown over his actions and he can't force himself to do it anymore.
Son.... I really really think Aoyama is about to get Nagant'd and cause Deku the most pain he's ever felt. This is two days after he returned, and everyone is acting like the bath was going to fix all that. Y'all want Deku introspection, here it comes.

The parallel between him and Deku and the fact that similar things were experienced by them.
Also, aoyama was one of the people against bakugo rescue in 3rd season. But rather than concern, he showed fear. He was afraid about his classmates going to rescue bakugo while others seemed to be concerned.
Then comes season 4. "Your body is not made for my quirk, just like me."
He tried to get away from things but couldn't
He tried to open up and be less discreet because in season 4, AFO is already in prison.
This is a big part of why Aoyama has always been my favorite character. He's so intriguing yet at the same time there's always been this cloud of mystery behind what he does. There''s always been the sense that he has a bigger role to play, and it keeps you wondering consistently.
I personally have been thinking for a few months that he's an unwilling traitor, so having that theory proven right I just wonder what he's gonna do in the future. Hori did really well at crafting his big reveal and I'm thoroughly impressed.

You guys remember the red herring episode where we were trolled that Aoyama was the traitor but he was just trying to cheer Midoriya up? Definitely threw me off lol. Come to think of it though, in that episode when Aoyama told Midoriya that he was just like him, he must have meant that they both had their quirk passed on to them. Goosebumps just thinking about how it hits different now.
8:06 So his hero name was more of like a cry for help, like, “I can’t drop this facade.” Poor guy’s been trying to speak about this for so long, but kept his lips sealed to protect his parents. I’ve gotta admit though, this bombshell of a truth makes me think back to Uraraka’s exchange with Aouyoma during their practical exams at the end of Season 2. Asking if she had a crush on Deku, Aouyoma also accidentally got intel for AFO about someone close to Deku, and I wouldn’t be surprised if something happens to Ochaco as a result. I mean I don’t want IzuxOcha to be forced as her being a damsel in distress for Deku to save, but I feel like something will come up.

He's actually been giving hints the whole time. Asking everyone if they knew where he was during the attack on the training grounds hoping someone would notice something was off. We viewers even saw Dabi leaving him alone although he noticed him cowering behind a bush.
I just realized this is why he was unconcerned about scoring so low on the midterm! When Shoji (I think it was him) asks why he isn’t worried he’s just, “What are you talking about?”. He’s been trying to fail since the USJ incident.

Another issue was that has quirk appeared to hurt him like he did not have a natural quirk factor to protect himself from his beams.
Considering how unstable is quirk is to his body. Is it possible that is rigged like Lady Nagant? I'm worried because his parents said if he goes against AFO they will die.

That might explain the episode where Aoyama tells Midoriya that they are the same in terms of having a quirk unfit for their body. They both received a quirk even though they weren‘t supposed to have one. That might’ve been another hint, this time to a person in direct contact with All Might, that something was off. He knew that Midoriya is All Might‘s successor and a person to potentially know about All for One.
I always thought he directly sought deku because everyone saw how much deku's quirk hurts him during training and battles, and aside from him the only one who could relate to this pain was aoyama

I mean, when I think of twinkling I think of stars that are blinking. So while the other heroes are out there shining constantly like the sun, Aoyama is forced to repeatedly blink and step out of the light to join the shadows before meeting up with his fellow lights/students/heroes.

I don't know if it makes it worse or better, but considering Midnight was the only one to actually support his name, even changing it a bit, instead of asking to change, may have had an impact on Aoyama, considering he might blame himself for her death.
Honestly when the scene showed him as a little kid crying to his parents about why he was different, I instantly thought that he was born quirkless like Izuku but since his parents are so rich and want to see him happy cause they love him so much that they got him a belt so he could pass as someone with a quirk. It seemed like a good explanation as to why he's in so much pain whenever he uses it for too long cause it's just a side effect of an experimental technology.

I remember at the end of the USJ incident all the 1A kids were talking about where they were dropped, and how they had to fight their way to safety, and at one point Aoyama proclaims that nobody had asked about where he was dropped and when one of the girl asked him where he fell, he jumped in their face and immediately said It's a secret!" I figured if one of the adults wasn't the traitor it had to be him.
U.A. entire surveillance system, super intelligent director, the police of japan, hawks and other heroes investiganting any odd clues agaisnt all for one: We can't find the traitor.

I feel like Aoyama was the reason why Bakugou was taken by the League in the training camp. To Aoyama, Bakugou is fit to be a villain considering he's a delinquent in the class but has a great quirk. But Aoyama and the League didn't know that Bakugou really wants to be a hero that can pass through All Might like Deku. In short they lack the knowledge that Bakugou isn't a stray from the hero course, his attitude just shows off like a delinquent that's all.

One of my favorite pieces of evidence was back before the USJ attack--Aoyama talks about how great his quirk is and Mina says that it's not that great if it always makes his stomach explode. He gets visibly uncomfortable but doesn't say anything.
How did he get that quirk? Through All For One.

I really want to examine the chapter where Aoyama spies on deku outside of his room and behaves weirdly towards Deku. Somehow that chapter makes me interested after watching this video.

I hope Aoyama can be saved somehow, maybe Nagant was a "what could happen" and an explanation on why Aoyama obeys, instead of straight up foreshadowing of what will happen. I feel so bad for him.
"Saved", he is a kid being blackmailed, he did not do any of this of his own volition, in all capacity who is going to choose their classmates over their parent's lives being threatened. Lady Nagant did this out of an ideological conviction. If you paid a lick of attention throughout the show, the hero system is a plot point and a point Horikoshi's writing has clearly criticized as a societal flaw (hence why he made the LOV have sympathetic motivations, especially someone like Spinner), hence why it created someone like her.
@@vannakinder352 I am well aware of the hero system being messed up and needing to be torn down and built anew! I mean saved as in made it so AFO can't remotely blow up him or his parents anymore! And the public made aware of his situation so that the higher ups in the hero society can't use him as a scapegoat and Aoyama can go on to live his life in whatever way he wants!

@@trevinodude I just love how they crafted his character honestly. I always liked him and I had a feeling he had a bigger role to play, so him being the unwilling traitor of the group makes SO much sense.
