Nano CIC2 & CIC4: Changing the Wax Guard

Welcome to our tutorial on changing the wax guards for the Nano CIC2 and CIC4 hearing aids. You may know these models as the Nano CIC Recharge and Nano CIC Digital Recharge.
Understanding the Wax Guard's Role
The wax guard prevents wax and debris from entering your hearing aid. If the tip becomes blocked, it can cause feedback or hinder your hearing aid's effectiveness. Changing the wax guard is essential when you can't remove wax or debris effectively.
Changing the Wax Guard: Step by Step
1. Start by taking off the dome from the tip of your hearing aid.
2. Use the wax guard stick provided in your accessory box. One end features a new wax guard, while the other end helps remove the existing guard.
3. Insert the thin tube of the stick into the wax guard at the hearing aid's tip. The stick will attach to the white wax guard. Gently pull the stick away to detach the old guard.
4. Discard the old wax guard. Use the hearing aid brush to clean any leftover wax or debris from the tip.
5. To insert the new wax guard, use the stick's thick end with the attached white wax guard. Firmly push the new guard into the tip until it's flush with the hearing aid's surface.
6. Ensure the wax guard is properly inserted, aligned flush with the tip. Remove the stick to verify its placement. If using a dome, securely place it back on the hearing aid tip.
