Sir, first of all, thank you so much for spending your valuable time and making these videos. I have completed many chapters of fluid mechanics from your channel. Sir I want to request you to please provide your contact number so that we can get our queries cleared, if possible. Thank you Sir :)
Sir when will you solve this qusn please reply: A reservior A feeds two lower reserviors B and C through a single pipe 10 km long, 75O mm diameter, having a downward slope of 0.0022. This pipe then divides into two branch pipes, one 5.5 km long laid with a downward slope of 0.00275 (going to B), the other 3 km long having a downward slope of 0.0032(going to C) . Calculate the necessary diameter of the branch pipes so that the steady flow rate in each shall be 0.24 cubic meter per second when the level in each reservior is 3 m above the end of the corresponding pipe. Neglect all losses except pipe friction and take f=0.024 throughout.
Can you send me the diagram if available, since its possible to calculate diameter of third pipe conected to reservoir C. But not possible to calculate the diameter of 2nd pipe, Since the datum head you have provided is quite high, which negative value of diameter. So kindly tell me that this question is from any university paper or any book. Kindly share it at tawiparveen0@gmail.com with photo if available.
Sir this is our board exam question .... in the question drawing was not available ..... from which book it is asked till now no student have known ....
@@sarbagyaadhkari6159 Dear sarbagya its easy to calculate the diameter of pipe whose length is 3 km. But difficult to calculate the dia. Of other pipe of 5.5 km, since the slope of that pipe is higher that is 0.00275. Which tells that datum head is higher than that of common juntion where all the pipes meet. Acc. To this data given in question paper, flow from reservoir B must come to common junction. Which is contradictory to the statement that Reservoir A feeds both reservoir B and C. This question can be solved only when slope of 2nd pipe reduces to 0.00275 to 0.000275 which reduces the datum head of reservoir. And which will give the value of diameter but not negative value. Iam sending the pic. Kindly see. And from your side if possible give me the appropriate diagram. That is make your self and mail me.
thanks sir for providing good education free of cost
Thanks ❤
