About Medha Rail Coach Factory:
Medha Servo Drives, which designs and manufactures high-tech electronics for locomotives, is setting up a railway coach factory at Kondakal near Hyderabad in Telangana, involving an investment of Rs 1,000 crore.
The facility, touted the country’s largest private-sector rail coach factory, provides employment opportunity to 2,200 persons in the region, said the Telangana government in a statement.
As the largest propulsion equipment supplier to the Indian Railways, Medha Servo currently caters with its high-tech electronics to the locomotives, trainsets, coaches, railway stations and yards.

** 400 new VandeBharat trains have not been tendered yet, These will be new generation , out of approved 108 current generation 54 are tendered to MEDHA
** This is one of the new private rolling stock manufacturing units , not the first , we already have ALSTOM units in SriCity , AP and Salvi, GJ operational.
** Here they don't build Locomotives. They build EMUs, Integrated Tain Sets ,
what kind of technology, MEDHA have against international companies, such as Alstom, Bombardier, SIEMENS, and what is product folio? any idea
@@au1947 Medha is an OEM , that produces most of LRUs (Line replacement units ) , for AC DC motors transformers and other rolling stock related items , they never had their own product line OF THEIR OWN like the companies you mentioned , but they were an TIER-1 SUPPLIER to almost all the top manufacturers, Inc ICF ,RCF and Kapurtala rail coach factory , Even now for 400 VBE, their work was detailed and thoroughly verified in two running VBE
Like all DESI companies , they may lack international exposure , but this is the first time they are venturing into full blown cab+bogie production (not design,just production) , let’s wish them ALL THE BEST

There are other private rail coach factories in other states Bombardier , Siemens have already manufactured and exported coaches. This is first home grown company. And also people appreciating this company but opposing privatization of railways please note this company is a result of privatisation of coach manufacturing segment of railways .
