@CiboCeleste Yes, I realize that other people are hearing things that I don't. Perhaps, I didn't ask my question correctly. What is that leads you to believe she had some technical problems/ what kind of technical problems do you mean.
Well.... Anna Netrebko is a great artist so we are talking about a really good opera-singer.I think the biggest problem are: she is not a real coloratura and she tries to sing more dramatically. Besides... I really don't care that her breathing not perfect (i can hear her support is not 100%ly) but honestly I DO NOT CARE. I'm enjoying what she do, I think she is very good as an artist as well as a singer. Her performance is very amazing. It is more important to me, and her voice is beautiful!

I'm only just becoming introduced to the opera world, so most of the comments criticisms, critiques, etc mean nothing to me because I don't understand what they are criticquing. All I know is that I hear a beautiful voice that's way better than what I can vocalize. LOL!
Does anyone think that Anna hasn't been looking real healthy lately? I've been noticing this, can't figure out if it's just weight gain or something is wrong with her health (maybe doing too much, stress, I don't know!)
I am so fed up with comments challenging the commentators to "do it better." And audiences' responses are neither undeserved nor proof of greatness. I found her interpretation of Anna moving. However, she seemed to struggle a lot. My suspicion: She wants to be a spinto, which she's not. Everything is too chesty and she has major breath problems, causing her coloratura and phrasing to suffer. Hence she's forced to use inappropriate musical mannerisms. And she should lay off the cortisone.

Suoni troppo coperti, com'è di moda oggi. Non si capisce un tubo, e questa (com'è oggi) non è una voce per Mozart. Ma è di moda oggi cantare tutto copertissimo e oramai i cantanti, di cui la A.N., sono diventati dei robot. Anche colpa dei conservatori e "maestri" che non insegnano più la dizione, il legato, lo squillo e la prosodia. Voce pienamente fabricata (molto bella) ma fredda e senza corpo (vocale)
This is one of the most horrendous performances of this aria I have ever heard. Its insulting that she will go on stage (at la scala no less where tickets are anything by affordable) and sing this garbage, knowing full well this is not a role for her. Its out of tune and sloppy. It enrages me that she can go anywhere and sing anything as horribly as she wants to and people will worship her regardless. She is really shameless.
