    The porcelain slabs look beautiful my only concern is don't they have sharp factory edges which might cut your hands on?

    • @aosoutdoorkitchens
      @aosoutdoorkitchens  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks Peter, the edges of the slabs aren’t sharp enough to cut yourself although the corners have points that would hurt if you walked into them! It is possible to round these edges off though

    Beautiful - and the lighting is a great idea. Can I ask how you secure the porcelain tiles to the top of the blockwork - especially with the challenge of people leaning on the bar overhang

    • @aosoutdoorkitchens
      @aosoutdoorkitchens  3 месяца назад +1

      Hi paul, we use sand and cement mortar and use SRB in the mix. This makes it a very strong bond

      @@aosoutdoorkitchens Thank you - I'm debating putting cement board on first to ensure water resistance as I prefer to butt the porcelain tiles together rather than have a grout joint for the sake of aesthetics - conscious of getting the strongest fix though

    This is such a beautiful job! What was the overhang on the worktop to allow the Led lighting to be fitted? Thx

    • @aosoutdoorkitchens
      @aosoutdoorkitchens  Месяц назад +1

      @@jaybee6347 Thankyou 😊. There is a 20mm overhang all the way around except the bar area where it was 200mm. The led lighting is 10mm.

    This looks so beautiful. Great design and a wonderful execution. Quick question. Does the blockwork have a foundation or have you built straight on top of the porcelain? I've just had my patio redone and would love this but don't want to have it all dug up again. Thank you and please keep posting.

    • @aosoutdoorkitchens
      @aosoutdoorkitchens  3 месяца назад

      Thankyou james. As long as the patio has been correctly laid then it’s absolutely fine to lay straight on top of it. This normally involves putting 80mm-100mm of type one MOT that’s been compacted down and then the porcelain laid on a full bed of mortar.

    • @MrGuardcaptain
      @MrGuardcaptain 3 месяца назад +1

      @aosoutdoorkitchens thanks so much for the reply. Sounds promising my end as we had 100mm laid before the sand. Do you cover all of the UK? Im based just north of Birmingham

    Hi, I live in the USA in an area with all 4 seasons. I am also curious about the possibility of using the covers for the appliances. Do you have any previous installs to show how you use them with the outdoor kitchens? Thank you

    • @aosoutdoorkitchens
      @aosoutdoorkitchens  5 месяцев назад

      All the appliances have covers that can be used. We also have a company here in the uk that will make a cover that will fit over the whole kitchen

    Love the design of this - and the quality of the videos thank you! A few questions for you -
    1. What height do you typically aim to have the worktop height set to in your kitchens?
    2. The stainless steel doors / draws look great, which brand do uou use?

    Love the use of the Porcelain slabs. Can I ask are the slabs the same dimensions for both sides of the kitchen and what dimensions are they if they’re different?

    How do the porcelain slabs fair in the wet weather? Does anything sit beneath them or do they float on the brickwork shell - doesn't rain water get between the cracks and pool inside?

    • @aosoutdoorkitchens
      @aosoutdoorkitchens  3 месяца назад +2

      Hi, the porcelain slabs are good for outdoor use, they’re designed for patios. They do float on the brickwork shell, supported on the edges. The cracks can be sealed with clear silicone which will stop water getting in

    Could you please share details / a link for the vent you used for the Gozney gas hose to pass through?

      We just used a desk cable tidy for this one, but you could also use sofit vent.
      I hope this helps,

      I live in Brisbane Australia and am looking at building an outdoor kitchen in 18 months time(with luck). Obviously a very different climate to the UK however we certainly get our share of rain too.
