If I could I wouldn't want to because the amount of work to setup the charging of batteries, carrying, and setting up, etc. would drive me insane. To me, ease of use is paramount or I will have no peace.
All ALTA's feature a lightweight molded plastic enclosure to cover the flight control and power distribution board to protect them from the elements. This however doesn't make them waterproof, just resistant to the elements. Also, there would have to be other steps taken in weather proofing other things you may have added as well like the receiver.
The amount of man power to setup and maintain such a rig makes putting props on and off the Phantom 4 look like twisting a cap off a water bottle. Alta, Welcome to the world of the multi-millionaires and billion-dollar elites. I'm happy with my P4P V2.0 but after looking at Alta + Red Dragon.. it's so far beyond this level. Watching the Gopro 4k vid though with the iceberg where they've used a Hero4 on a Phantom 2 I think, it's not that out there..
Whenever I visit freeflysystems.com/alta it tells me that the content is password protected and won't allow me to access it, which is frustrating because I'd love to read more about it but that content is apparently locked.

I have the Alta 6. They were using their Alta in the rain in this video. Are all Alta's rain proof or is it something that's for the Alta 8 drone?
