It’s a beautiful apartment! The patio is amazing, the view as well . In the next few months I am planning to relocate in Cambodia, I hope I will find something decent . Thank you for the videos . Greetings
As a Cambodian-Korean, and I think that was a sick spot right there, living like a king Better than my $500 per month here in South Korea and has only 3x3.
Nice place. That patio with the river view makes it a real winner. You might need the AC in summer, especially recommended on dusty days. Fine silt dust gets everywhere if you leave the windows open. PS Tevys Place does a great marinated chicken BBQ.
G'day mate! That is a really nice place and a great spot! I reckon I could walk under that kitchen bench haha! And that is one of the most bizarre doors I have seen for a bathroom 🤣🤣. At least the shower and toilet are separate - big fan of that..just not the transparency hehe! Cheers - Marc
Great video. Very nice apartment and elevator. Question: Is this apartment secure? Looks like anyone can walk through the front door. And, are there lots of bugs and mosquitos in the apartment? I didn't see window screens.
During the day the downstairs ground floor doors are open because of the office. Of course, the apartment doors can be locked and are actually thick solid hardwood, not like the cheap ones in the USA that any decent size person could put their foot through. Some of the apartments have screens. Bugs are not a problem year round and still sometimes only early in the morning, and in the evening. I find that if I have a fan blowing on me the mosquitos are not a problem.
Amazing place! It even has an elevator! When I was looking at places one of them had steep stairs going up three levels and I knew that wouldn't work. Good stuff here!
I hear ya. I found a most awesome apartment with 2 patios, not small balconies. one on each end of the large apt. But, it was on the 5th floor with no elevator!!! Thanks for watching.
Well most US military here spend for around 2k-2.5k for the apartment like that in South Korea if you search the Google where is the "Osan air base", and the veiw around building was like "don't even talk about it" , "suck"
It actually had 2 A/C units. One in the living room and one in the bedroom. It was noisy really only during rush hour. It was a trade off for living on the river road. Have a great day 🤗
Hello Dovy, wow that's a lot of info needed. That could be a video in itself. S.E. Asia is what it is, Mostly developing countries. Heat, humidity, and mosquitoes are kind of a seasonal thing. I'm originally from Minnesota where the summer months it is worse than in Cambodia (in my opinion). I know that is not the best of info for you but there are many variables involved. Thank you though, for watching my video !
@@AutumninAsia For someone like myself Siem Reap feels really appealing except for the heat. Too dry if anything, so we use humidifiers. You just don't have to sweat. However, the right Plan B for the rest of retirement is more important than perfection, although high heat and humidity is a problem.....
Hello Sir, my name is Lewis Martinez. For a few months I have been following your RUclips channel. The videos have been very helpful and definitely encouraging. So encouraging as a matter of fact that I am now here in Siem Reap! Thank you for providing good information. I was wondering if you can recommend an agency to find an apartment. It would be a big help. By the way, I am a "number one fan." Blessings to you, Sir! I hope to meet you someday soon. I would love to invite you and your wife to dinner at your convenience.🙏
I have used IPS on 3 occasions. They have a nice website where you can get an idea of what's available. Also, they are located on Wat Bo Rd., about 5 blocks up from 7 Makara. It will be on Google Maps. We would be happy to meet up sometime. DM me. Have a great day and thanks for being a "number one fan".
With you on the public balcony. Great private space. Do many guest use it? I assume you have a 12 month lease? Good location close to the centre. I also rarely use air con preferring fans.
I loved that apartment also. I left for a few reasons. 1. I went back to the USA to visit family. 2. I wanted to get closer to the Khmer culture and 3. I needed a 2 bedroom because my household grew. Those apartments are very popular and I haven't talked to the managers in a few weeks. Oh yea ! --- That patio is ''''really nice'''' since the balcony's are essentially worthless ? -- If it remains close to that amount of $ next year it would be nice. -- It is significantly more sf. than I would want - to clean or cool ! -- A nicely furnished studio with no more than about 400 sf. & w/o the sun beating on any glass would be affordable to cool perhaps ? (not cold but comfortable) Thanks for sharing your very nice place !
Wow...my rent is 360 a month for a 375 sq.ft. basically one room place and no river or park nearby and electric is 95 to 105 a month plus food and the rest. Time to leave here I guess :)

Very nice place you have there. You certainly appear comfortable and happy. Contentment is worth the price it appears ? The elevator is essential or would be for me. I'm old and frugal. -- For me it would be too much to take care of & keep clean. -?- Perhaps a house cleaner ? -- Comfort is really important when we get old. -- You have found yours. '''Live long and prosper.'''
The apartment has a cleaning service and it is $5 per clean. I have her clean once a week. She cleans everything plus changes out the bedding and even washes all the windows. She does a great job and she is always very grateful when I also give her a tip.
Great place! I'm like you. When I lived in the Philippines, I used to yell at my roommates to shut off the ac! Acclimation is the key, and saving the extra money gives you money to splurge. How did you come to find that place?
They are not too bad. If you are sitting outside of you house or apartment you can bring a fan and have it blow down by your feet, or use spray on your legs. The mosquitoes usually only bite around your ankles.
