Love that you now have the diamond wheel for the t4. I have my t4 for the last 10 years and always got great results with it. Will be getting the wheel for my t4. Thanks for listening.
So happy you’ve launched these🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 Excited to have my DC-200 delivered today, ever happier it comes with a concentrate bottle….. once my original stone wears down, I’ll be replacing it with the fine version I think…….. well done for listening to the users💪
@@TormekSharpening I’ve already been posting on my IG about it🥰🥰🥰🥰 Really good!! Super quick at reshaping a bunch of old battered chisels and gouges. Well worth the money💚
In my viewpoint the greatest advantage of the diamond wheels is that one can sharpen on the sides. I don't want a concave grind on my chisels, nor on my Japanese knives. I wanted a T4 four or five years ago but bought one just last week, because, finally the diamond wheels gave me all of what I wanted and needed in a package that I could justify the price on. I would buy a second one, if Tormek ever made a grinding wheel option to replace the buffing/driving side. That way I could have three diamond wheels and a buffing wheel, with two machines - In other words sharpening heaven.
Thank you for watching, glad you like it! You'll have to keep an eye out for lowered prices at the resellers on your market. No Tormek is cheap though... We make quality machines that are made to last, which costs more to produce. But you will get your 8 year warranty, and probably your Tormek will last you a lifetime if not more. As we hear many Tormek-convertees say; Buy once, cry once ;D Good luck on your business and hope you find you Tormek soon :) Stay sharp!
Not yet, but we have shown use of the DF-250 Diamond Wheel Fine for the Tormek T-8, and the sharpening is the same:) But we will make sure to show some in the future. Stay sharp! :)
Those diamond wheels are manufactured for the use with a Tormek T-4 or older models. But the Tormek T-2 Pro Kitchen comes a fine-grained Diamond Wheel 💎😉 Stay sharp & safe!
Hej David, You can use the DC-200 on your Tormek T-2 as well. In this case we recommend you buy the DC-200 and not the DWC-200 as it comes with ACC which is mandatory if you use it with water running. Please keep in mind that you have to change the wheel every time if you just have one 😉 Stay sharp!
Hi, I use my T4 machine with the standard stone (Graded to 1000 grit) to sharpen mainly woodworking chisels and woodturning tools but knives too sometimes. I’m happy with the finish I get after honing but would like to upgrade to a diamond stone which won’t need dressing after sharpening a gouge. My tools are all shaped how I want them so I will just be ‘touching up’ and re sharpening edges and want a finish no coarser than the ‘graded’ 1000 grit stone is giving me. A little finer would be good as I can always do any reshaping with the standard wheel. My question is.... will the 600 diamond wheel give as smooth a finish as the standard wheel or will it leave more grooves. I really can’t decide which to buy between 600 and 1200 for what I need and am worried the 600 may be too course for me but is the 1200 too fine?.
Hej Simon Woods, the DF-200 is a equivalent to the SG-250, if you prefer a 1200 grid than the DE-200 is the choice, its perfect when you like just "touch up" the tool, its a silky fine finish. /Wolfgang
It is known that the diamond stone 600 is rough when working with it for the first time. What should I do to overcome this extra roughness on the number 600
Hi, yes that's correct. All of our diamond grinding wheels are more aggressive at first, but after some use the diamonds will have worn down to the same height. So I would reccomend to take advantage of this by initially using it on tools where you need to take away a lot of material. Just remember to keep the pressure light! :)
i have a very simple question which iwasnt able to find answer for whic is "what is the bore diameter for de-200" or spindle diameter of T-4" i want to use 200mm wheels in another device i have (100rpm)
This seems VERY fussy and complicated! Especially for a V-gouge! I would love a Tormek but afraid I would use it wrong. Thus ruining an expensive tool. Hand sharpening is more forgiving. You have to be an EXPERT to use your Tormeks!
Actually it is not complicated at all. For some tools you need some practice, but then it is easy and fast with reliable results. The machine comes with a handbook with explanations. Additionally we have several RUclips Sharpening Class videos you can watch. Sharpening with a Tormek water cooled sharpening system takes only very little steel from your tools. Therefore you can use them longer and there is a very small risk of ruining them. 😉

Do you have a video showing the work of the diamond stone DF 200

Will they fit on the T2. The flat side would come in handy for levelling the edge of old knifes ?

do they rust?
Not if handled correctly and if you use the included ACC-150 Anti Corrosion Concentrate :)
Hi Guys.
If I buy the DC-200 for my T3.
Can I also use it for my T2?
Or do I really have to buy the DC-200 AND the DWC-200?
