Great playing but it don't have the volume of a regular open back banjo...sweet soft quiet sound even with the drive you was putting in it. Probably record well though.
I actually bought it because of the softer volume. Sometimes it’s nice just to have something softer and sweeter to play, and then it’s nice to switch it up to the standard open back!
Really like your playing. i am thinking of upgrading from my Deering Goodtime to a banjola. Would you recommend a banjola or should I just focus on a clawhammer banjo?
Hey I appreciate it! I bought the banjola because I was looking for a softer, mellower, and a little quieter sound when I played. I play my regular open back just as often as I play my banjola, and I play them both in the same style. If you’re comfortable with how you’re playing on your banjo and you want to spice it up, I recommend trying out the banjola!
Ben Clemons it was a cheap Fishman pickup for an acoustic guitar. It didn’t really fit in the sound hole, so I had to shave down some of the plastic clamps. Good in a pinch, but I’m looking into a nicer pickup for this thing.
Extraordinary insrument. Never seen or heared before. Great sound, great playing !❤
is great to hear some one playing and look happy nicely played

BanjoGun thank you so much! I’m loving this thing!
Wow! Sounds great! Thanks for this video :)
Very nice!
Awesome 👏 🙂
That was stunning man. I'm a clawhammer player too and always wondered what it would sound like on a banjola. May have to get one now.
I highly recommend it! I still play my regular open back regularly, but it’s nice to switch to this for a softer sound
Wow that's absolutely beautiful
Thank you so much!
i wanna learn this and duet

Their PC Banjola comes set up with a pickup from the factory.
I didn’t realize that at the time, but if I buy another one I’ll definitely have to go for that model, thanks!

You should come and play at NRO sometime.

What pickup is that?
