    Daniel, thank you so much for sharing your experience! I myself was interested in Freemasonry for a while. So i filled out a form online and then my local lodge contacted me. This was around May of 2023. I had an interesting experience of meeting the members of my local lodge and they started my process of becoming a Mason. The majority of them were in their 60s and 70s, there was only 2 other people in their 20s. I was the first person in my family that became a Mason. Im not sure if my ancestors were Masons. I got initiated on August 29th 2023. And it was fun times. However, unfortunately Freemasonry was incompatible with the religion I belong to so unfortunately i had to leave Freemasonry. I may had a short time with them but it was one of the greatest experiences in my life. I always wanted a brotherhood and im struggling to find an organization alternative to Freemasonry to have that brotherhood.
    Another reason i left too is because there was too much elderly, nothing wrong with them but it was sorta harder trying to find similar interests with them due to the age gap. Thanks again Daniel for telling your experience!

      @@Nick-TechProductions sounds like we had very similar experiences! Yes, the cultural aspect of mostly older men can make the younger guys feel a little out of place which is fine 🤷‍♂️
      I’m happy that you chose to be true to your religion and please don’t feel guilty for doing what is spiritually in your best interest. I’m happy you made some good memories, same as I did (despite how things shook out). Thank you! I appreciate you watching as I know this format is not super great but it’s what I can do without a computer or internet 👺

      @@Nick-TechProductions I missed the detail about looking for other community organizations. There is Rotary Club, Knights of Pythias, Moose Lodge, Lions Club, Samaritans, and any number of other organizations that have a similar vibe. You could also find a club related to a hobby you partake in, like a running club or a volunteer group would be cool too, so you always have a little familiar group to do stuff with. I’m sure you’ll have no trouble once you start looking around and again thank you for watching.

    Please read this before commenting! This is about my experience in a lodge about ten years ago. I am not lying about anything and what I am choosing to not reveal is not anything that is a departure from anything else that I say in the video. I was around a group of mostly older white men who were outspokenly Christian in every sense, one of whom was an ordained episcopal priest (and also black, if you care), and a few others who were military chaplains, pastors, etc.
    I never ever saw anything related to satanism or Lucifer or baphomet or anything like that, and remember, I say in the beginning of the video that I have actively been around various religious communities my whole life, including satanic and pagan communities. I know what that looks like and I didn’t see it in the lodge. What I saw was good men who were good Christians (and some good Jewish individuals) who were assets to their communities. I got out for personal reasons, mostly family problems and a gradual shift in my religious beliefs.
    I do not care what you read in some book by some guy who may have been a mason 200 years ago. I do not care what you heard in a high school bathroom. I do not care about knights of Columbus scandals or any other whataboutisms. This is a story about my experience which was overwhelmingly positive. To tell me about demons and ghosts and that my own grandfather was secretly satanic, you might as well tell me the sky is yellow.
    With that being said, I would love to debate or discuss whatever you want as long as the questions you ask are not already answered and you do not actively choose to misinterpret my responses. I know tensions can run high concerning religion but if you cannot be civil and show even a modicum of class and understanding then you are not welcome here. Thank you.

    Do you have to reach out to them first or is there an off chance they research you first?

      @@jessicapoepping you must reach out to them first, otherwise, like any other interaction, they will not have any indication that you exist. They will then research you and get back to you after the first introduction. Is that what you meant to ask? They would not randomly investigate and then solicit various strangers.

    I wanted to share my experience with you about my recent visits to the lodge. The first time I went, I had the chance to speak with a few masons who all seemed to ask me the same question. Then on my second visit, I was invited for dinner and was asked why I wanted to become a mason. I found it interesting that they were genuinely interested in my reasons.
    But, two months later, I received a call asking me to come back to the lodge to pick up some documents. I'm a bit confused as to why they haven't allowed me to petition yet but are asking me to pick up documents. Do you have any idea what documents they could be referring to? Btw this is through the York rite?

    • @Danielbpartida
      @Danielbpartida  14 дней назад +1

      It could be your letter! I had mine mailed to me which was completely unnecessary but that’s how they did things. It sounds like your petition may already be done. I recommend you see what the document is and go forward from there. You should not experience anything that seems uncalled for or excessive, like payments in excess of thousands of dollars or anyone putting their hands on you or anything like that. If for whatever reason you are denied due to prior reputation, see about a parallel organization like Knights of Pythias or OES, which men can also join, although it is known for being the group for the ladies since they cannot be Freemasons in their own right. You’ll be around a lot of the same people and you’ll have ample opportunity to show that you’re a worthwhile member of the community now. Granted, I wouldn’t worry about any of that. I’m sure it’ll all be fine and you’ll be going through the degrees in no time.

      @Danielbpartida  14 дней назад +1

      Also, York Rite will come later. You must go through each degree (3 total, at least a few months) before York Rite is an option, but like I said it was quite an experience.

      It's not Jesus Christ, it's Christ Jesus or Jesus the Christ. The title is first unless 'the" is inserted after the name and before the title. People only make this mistake with Jehovah and Jesus, never with David, Solomon or John.

    I’m a Charlotte native, when I was in high school I asked what free masons were out of curiosity and this white guy told me that If I didn’t know what it was I shouldn’t talk about them I thought I was a cult for a the longest because of that 😂

      @@skatefasteatshat_1924 that’s a shame that someone presented them to you like that ☹️ im going to assume by you saying “white guy” that you are a person of color, and while not organizational, there is some amount of racism among “white lodges” that has been slowly getting worked out in the last 30 or so years, so that may have played a part in your experience as well. The details of this are the thing I said I wouldn’t speak on since I’ve been out of the game for almost 10 years now. @Danielbpartida  14 дней назад +1

      @@seththorson6164 I don’t care to speak on my understanding of Prince Hall because I was not part of a PH lodge and I don’t want to poison the well because of the actions (hazing, extortion, etc) of a few unsanctioned lodges. It’s not the lodge that’s the problem but the specific individuals who allow that kind of culture to take place, same as racism in white lodges. I’ve met plenty of white masons who were raised in PHs that said it was exactly what they would expect and everything was as morally sound as any other lodge and it was a good mix of individuals and race was never really a thing, and yet before meeting anyone who had been there, I had been made to think they were all effectively criminal gangs, and while that may be true for any isolated group, the same as any other group dynamic, that is not representative of PH or freemasonry at large, and that’s what I would I want someone to take away from that discussion, and since I know the majority of people will grab onto whatever negative thing they can, I don’t care to open anyone up to that more than I’ve said here.
