The Age of Accountability
My thoughts on the various ages when people are allowed to do things. The skater I mentioned is Rafael Castillo. The average inmate costs $33k per year meaning keeping individuals 18-25 in school would grossly mitigate the costs of maintaining prisons. Additionally, the average age of violent offenders is late teens to early 20s. With proper management, counseling, and fostering of skills, I make the argument that this number would unequivocally go down, which is why we should treat everyone under 25 as a child.

    Please read this before commenting! This is about my experience in a lodge about ten years ago. I am not lying about anything and what I am choosing to not reveal is not anything that is a departure from anything else that I say in the video. I was around a group of mostly older white men who were outspokenly Christian in every sense, one of whom was an ordained episcopal priest (and also black, if you care), and a few others who were military chaplains, pastors, etc. I never ever saw anything related to satanism or Lucifer or baphomet or anything like that, and remember, I say in the beginning of the video that I have actively been around various religious communities my whole life, including satanic and pagan communities. I know what that looks like and I didn’t see it in the lodge. What I saw was good men who were good Christians (and some good Jewish individuals) who were assets to their communities. I got out for personal reasons, mostly family problems and a gradual shift in my religious beliefs. I do not care what you read in some book by some guy who may have been a mason 200 years ago. I do not care what you heard in a high school bathroom. I do not care about knights of Columbus scandals or any other whataboutisms. This is a story about my experience which was overwhelmingly positive. To tell me about demons and ghosts and that my own grandfather was secretly satanic, you might as well tell me the sky is yellow. With that being said, I would love to debate or discuss whatever you want as long as the questions you ask are not already answered and you do not actively choose to misinterpret my responses. I know tensions can run high concerning religion but if you cannot be civil and show even a modicum of class and understanding then you are not welcome here. Thank you.

    Daniel, thank you so much for sharing your experience! I myself was interested in Freemasonry for a while. So i filled out a form online and then my local lodge contacted me. This was around May of 2023. I had an interesting experience of meeting the members of my local lodge and they started my process of becoming a Mason. The majority of them were in their 60s and 70s, there was only 2 other people in their 20s. I was the first person in my family that became a Mason. Im not sure if my ancestors were Masons. I got initiated on August 29th 2023. And it was fun times. However, unfortunately Freemasonry was incompatible with the religion I belong to so unfortunately i had to leave Freemasonry. I may had a short time with them but it was one of the greatest experiences in my life. I always wanted a brotherhood and im struggling to find an organization alternative to Freemasonry to have that brotherhood. Another reason i left too is because there was too much elderly, nothing wrong with them but it was sorta harder trying to find similar interests with them due to the age gap. Thanks again Daniel for telling your experience!

      @Danielbpartida 13 дней назад

      I’ve never met a Mormon I did not entirely like as a person inside and out. They really walk the walk and I strongly dislike the public impression of them. High performing, morally upright, all together empathetic and considerate people. Based on my experience I would have a hard time believing that the “Riders of the Purple Sage” (not a great read) era Mormons, drunken polygamist crooks, ever actually existed if it weren’t so prevalently documented. The way they talk about Christ is beyond endearing and the whole metaphysical breakdown (Cosmogony for the Sanderson fans) really points to their priorities (when you die you go to the spirit world where you still have a spirit body and are conscious and you continue to study religion for another lifetime. This is how Mormons own their own sin despite the existence of Christ. You partially pay for your own sin as much as you can in the afterlife through understanding what you did wrong rather than eternal suffering). Not a popular opinion, apparently, but an absolutely dope group of people.

Then on my second visit, I was invited for dinner and was asked why I wanted to become a mason. I found it interesting that they were genuinely interested in my reasons. But, two months later, I received a call asking me to come back to the lodge to pick up some documents. I'm a bit confused as to why they haven't allowed me to petition yet but are asking me to pick up documents. Do you have any idea what documents they could be referring to? Btw this is through the York rite?

    • @Danielbpartida
      @Danielbpartida 14 дней назад

      It could be your letter! I had mine mailed to me which was completely unnecessary but that’s how they did things. It sounds like your petition may already be done. I recommend you see what the document is and go forward from there. You should not experience anything that seems uncalled for or excessive, like payments in excess of thousands of dollars or anyone putting their hands on you or anything like that. If for whatever reason you are denied due to prior reputation, see about a parallel organization like Knights of Pythias or OES, which men can also join, although it is known for being the group for the ladies since they cannot be Freemasons in their own right. You’ll be around a lot of the same people and you’ll have ample opportunity to show that you’re a worthwhile member of the community now. Granted, I wouldn’t worry about any of that. I’m sure it’ll all be fine and you’ll be going through the degrees in no time.
