Awesome tool and guide as always. Hardest part for this pleb was cutting the sheathing. Couldn't get push/pull to work in the down direction so I made it several inches thick, then moved it down into the sheathing, made it a group and used the trim feature. Same difference I guess

Nathan, really appreciate these in-depth feature videos. Originally I thought your tools would only be helpful for garages and out buildings but I am finding I can start to design more complex structures. Becoming my favorite Sketchup tool. Kudos.

I'm glad you are getting some real world utility out of these plugins. I know of some power users who are designing entire apartment complexes with the wall plugin.

I am currently working on that plugin and hope to have it out in a few weeks.

Very cool! I know you used the trusses to make a quick roof but we would normally stick frame this roof so we could easily double the rafters beside the dormers. Also because you have to stick frame the portions between the trusses, it makes since to stick frame the whole roof. This is for those who are building for themselves and not necessarily familiar with traditional framing methods. Thanks for making the videos, I had not used that feature yet and it is pretty cool. :)

just wondering - should the inclined assemblies sit on the OSB or on the truss with the OSB butted to the plate? just thinking that is the roof sheathing becomes wet and needs to be cut out and replaced, it would be harder with the wall assembly on it.

I get what you are saying with the OSB potentially be a problem in the future however the OSB also ties the girder trusses to the other trusses in the assembly.

Is there a different feature (or video) for inclined TOP plates? Specifically looking at a shed roof design...

I don't know that I have a video specifically on shed walls however I do have a video on gable walls.
