Are the reverse and tail the exact same bulbs? I get the right reversing light fault show up when slowing down or turning (about 30% of the time)but they still work. The indicator fault comes up but that also works but can hear it clicking faster. Then it goes back to normal with a few seconds. No fuses but the switch on the gearbox casing? Read somewhere it could be the bulbs though...like drawing too much or too little power?
Well bulbs can go faulty causing problems this is true, especially if like me you buy cheap ones. So this may be true. Fitting LED bulbs to these can also cause problems. But it sounds like a possible earthing fault. So if bulbs aren't the issue I'd try cleaning all the connections to that light cluster.
@@urindenialp2354 I really don't think so. The brake bulb is normally double filament, even though only one is used on these, while the reverse is normally just a single filament. You can always check the left side if there's no errors showing there. Or swap left and right bulbs to see if the fault follows to the left. Then you will know if it's a bulb fault.
@@leek805 yeah. The bulb holder connector was/is still a bit loose. I swapped the right back one to the left back one as I couldn't find a part and was skint lol. Played up for a week still but now no issues.
I need to replace the rear position light . None of the three bulbs is the one that I have to change, how do I change the one that illuminates the position lights (the elongated ones)
Honestly I'm not sure you can. From what I remember finding it's built into the lens cover. But challenge accepted, I'll take a look over the weekend and see what I can find. I'm really sorry but I can't do better than that.
Hello again. After doing some digging the only replacements for the tail light itself comes as whole light unit replacement. Very French I know but very similar to more modern cars with the fancy strip lights which on various forums has caused much anger. Sorry that I can't be more help. If you do find otherwise would you be good enough to let me know please. All the best.
You may have the Alert Log in the dash menu that'll inform you about just bulbs failing. If they're out one side it may be a connector to the light cluster, if both sides something more dramatic may be at fault. Do the headlights work?
@@channelone4655 all lights work including rear lights just all 3 brake lights stopped.. I’ve just changed the brake switch but still out.. checked a rear bulb seems ok.. maybe it’s a fuse?
@@lassydogpie5390 Yeah it could be a fuse but quite often there are separate left and right fuses to give some redundancy. You could try to unplug the brake pedal switch and short out the connector pins on the car to confirm things. I'll go through the wiring diagrams and try to point you in the right direction. But it's mom's 70th today so I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
@@channelone4655 ok thanks, I’ve pulled a few fuses what I’ve made out to be the right ones.. all seem fine.. doesn’t make it easy as there’s fuses everywhere
@@lassydogpie5390 Ok great. Oh the chasing of wiring I've had to do due to a lack of information is unbelievable. And I won't start on the BSI that can magically cause or fix all manor of problems. Gotta love the French. 👍

Did you figure out the issue? I'm having similar with indicator coming and going even after multiple bulb changes.
