    I commend you so much for putting this out there. Most people would be ashamed but you are so brave to tell your story.
    I relate to you in so many ways. My husband and I have been together for 7 years. When we first met I worked a retail job, he worked solar, we thought we had life all figured out at a young age, got our own place, and he lost his job. He found another job making about $10 less an hour and I worked overtime as much as I could. He then lost that job. We could barely afford to pay our rent. Most stressful time of my life ever. A few weeks passed and he began working a temporary position through a temp agency as an electrical helper, and 5 years down the road, today, he is an electrical foreman and storm recovery crew lead for the same company. He performed his temporary job well so they hired him full time to work with the company. Life turned around for us.
    We bought our first home in my childhood neighborhood right across the street from my parents home & where I grew up 2 years ago and I am able to stay home full time now to help my father with everyday tasks while my mother works to provide for him & my younger siblings. (My father has a severe spine injury and is disabled.)
    Even though we have a savings account now, we never splurge on materialistic items. We take 1 vacation a year and are very mindful of any situation, disaster, or accident that may arise. Sometimes it's tempting to spend money from savings, but we remind ourselves we may need it in the future because you never know what may happen.
    I thoroughly enjoyed hearing your story. It's so great to see how amazing you guys are doing. I hope so many people can become inspired from your story!

    • @CramerCrew
      @CramerCrew  3 года назад +1

      Thank you so much Courtney!! Wow! We have some many things in common! It can be so scary when you go through things like job loss and and barley being able to afford rent. I'm so glad things have turned around for you guys and you're doing great!! Like you said it can be so tempting to spend money from savings but like you we try really hard not to. I'm always looking for ways to save whether it's on groceries, clothes for the kids or even vacation! I really appreciate the support!!!!!

    I see my husband and I in your story. We are married really young as well (19/20). We can afford things but live paycheck to paycheck. Our savings consist of our tax returns. My husband is actually in the union to become an electrician and I’m an ophthalmologist technician. It’s amazing our much your experience matches to ours. I’m excited to see where our journey takes us! We strive to be an amazing family like y’all!

But it works great and works for me. I even cross out when it gets paid as well. Someone posted that some people were rude during the live. Unfortunately and sadly some people are plain rude. You're welcome! It's so true! The transition is really tough. Honestly social media was kind of a fluke for me. I started out on TikTok and I had a school lunch video go viral and I kind of took off from there. People started asking me to make a RUclips channel so I started this and a family instagram page! I would like to focus more on growing our RUclips because we've had such a great experience on here with everyone being so nice. I recommend starting a RUclips channel if you're up for it! I love to do family vlogs and grocery hauls :)

    When I was 18 I got into a relationship with a guy 4 1/2 years older than me and even as a 22 year old he was extremely frugal. Like he had really decent savings. And about 4 months in an emergency happened and we had to move in together and he really saved me money wise not with his money but his ways rubbed off on me and how I’m 21 and I’m similar to him and I have an okay savings for myself! COVID has depleted it a little more than I wanted and I haven’t been able to add lol but I’m still pretty proud

      Thank you so much!! Our home buying experiences are a little different because we use VA loans which don't require any down payment and we don't have to pay PMI. I wish I had some tips for you! I definitely recommend buying though! Maybe find a trusted mortgage lender and see what advice they have? There are so many different types of loans that require different amounts down!

    could you talk about how you separate things into your savings account vs your checking? like do you take a certain percentage of the paychecks or something different?

    • @CramerCrew
      @CramerCrew  3 года назад +1

      Yes! We don't do a percentage. Honestly we usually just take look at what we have left at the end of the month (sometimes I do it weekly or bi weekly) and then we transfer most of it to savings. I don't like leaving us too short in checking though in case we want to do something or something unexpected comes up. I HATE taking money out of savings now so I really try to avoid it at all costs lol.

    I don’t know if you have explained this before, but did something happen to Chris while he was in the Army causing him to get put on disability, if that makes sense?

    • @CramerCrew
      @CramerCrew  3 года назад +1

      No, it was his ETS (I believe that stands for ending time in service) and when you get out of the Army they do a routine physical. If you have any type of injury or PTSD lets say they figure out if it can be contributed to your time in the service. If it was they determine what percentage you'll get and then you receive VA disability for the rest of your life. Sorry if that's confusing lol.
