The ridiculousness of "misplaying" by playing the freezing trap last and getting explosive first and the order actually works to save 5 damage and wins Trump the game is INSANE.

I too have a secret hunter deck. I had some hunter cards saved up, I packed V.windrunner and as the new season came in my warlock deck fell apart. I saw how powerful drawing S9 was last season, so I crafted it with my warlock dust and made a midrange/spell damage/secret Hunter with it. My deck certainly isn't as good as meta decks, but it does have a quicker tempo than regular midrange hunter and eaglehorn bow is really strong.
I've been stuck on rank 4 and 3 for a week now. All the Trump Decks can't save me now. Plz upload more short arena runs to make me feel better. 😁👍❤

I've been playing something similar to this. but with the other legendary and a couple of twinstrikes as finishers. Works reasonably well, lots of interesting decision making

it needs still some help. basically you control with secrets and in best case scenario pressure with secret keeper, then animal comp and then unleash beast. then hit zuljin, or smack 10 damage with vereesa and spells.

This was like the first deck I played when the expansion came out lol
One time I togwaggle schemed 6 Lucent barks and kept them up with my vamp dagger that was doing 6 damage per turn and managed to win against 4+ Lucentbarks. Rogues do it better.

Remember that back in the days, for very long time it was 2 mana do nothing. Trump doestn rate power of a card, but if it will be played. And he was for a long time right
And that was a correct rating at the time it was released.
Y'know what would be really good in this deck, BESIDES spellstone? Crushing Walls.
Crushing Walls sucks against Mech Hunter, Token Druid and Murloc Shaman and is still pretty bad against Tempo Rogue

24:51 snipe would have been great there. Topdeck second kill command is lethal and I don’t see how you will ever win from there by playing it safe.

Secrets are fun, so fun!
I tried spell hunter first day and it's definitely weaker than plain ol secret hunter or just playing a hybrid deck where you want to dire frenzy something to keep your deck full and draw out rush cards with hunters call then have zul'jin at the end for refuel and if somehow they aren't dead or the game is still dragging long (like against warrior or shaman) you can toss in an elysiana for flare. It's not great vs most classes but it's fun and beats warrior down hard if you toss in the rush card with lifesteal and frenzy it (forgot the name but it's a 2 mana 1/3 rush beast with lifesteal neutral)
I've been playing it too lately and a really good combo is the 7 mana 3/7 kobold with deathrattle that deals 3 damage to all minions with nine lives, it won me a lot of games.

Quick question, how important is Zul’jin to this deck? Like if I can craft all the other cards but not Zul’jin is it worth me making it?
Yes, you need him if you want to deal with any of the control decks that grind out for a long time.
Zuljin is essential for refilling your resources you absolutely can't play the deck without him.
I would craft Zulgin over Subject 9
basically just as strong as subject 9 but comes a little bit later, but he can win you the game

My second time running this deck on ladder i ran into murloc shaman and got lethaled on turn 5
Third time running it, i hit a midrange hunter who ran 2 copies of flare.

Explosive Trap is perfect against token druid and carpet warlock. Bear that in mind.
Explosive trap is not very good against a good token Druid they just won’t attack and will wait till they can buff up their board then savage roar in fact not a great match up for spell hunter

Sometimes you get in a favorable matchup and you just steamroll. Then there are other times when you're a filthy high-roller and top-deck the one card that guaranteed you winning.
28:18 why didn't the opponent trade in the other two wounded minion so that he would be able to at least get rid of one of trump's minion and then have the minion revive back to full health after he heals himself. Even if he triggers freezing trap he will still have one less minion to deal with and three full health taunts.

Nine lives refers to the myth that a cat has nine lives. However, some people claim that cats have seven lives. This division can cause some confusion, but ultimately I would asume that the 7 lives myth is more common in Brazil/Portugal and they decided to go with that to make the card reference easier to understand for those who have Hearthstone in Portuguese.

The masked commander kind of contradicts the point of subject nine, increasing it's likelihood of being a dead card
It's a really strong card itself though, and even if you've no secrets, subject nine still is never really a dead card.
Why not run Jade Idol? I think it would fit in this deck pretty well.

I was inspired by this deck so I created a subject 9 Mage deck that is actually doing quite well at the moment. It turns out it is quite similar to this deck on Hearthpwn. Agreed it feels like unless you're playing something that straight up auto wins against it like Mech Hunter(and no one wants to play Mech hunter), they just play Dr boom Mad Genius and auto win. If they rotated out the hero card it'd be much more bearable. Honestly they should of rotated both Dr Boom and Hagatha for this expansion.

The idea is "maybe I can get through two 4/3 and two 4/1 more easily than two 4/8". He was practically certain to lose anyway so it doesn't really matter, but that was probably his thought process.
@@josephward4918 I know what his idea was, killing them off would force him to have a heal to revive first before he could go off with gloop. Dumb play which sealed the game.
I tend to miss trump vids more and more with these bland thumbnails. Would be much more noticeable with Trump's face or some sort of logos on them.
It is hard to watch him play so bad...
