As a Rovers fan (9) I was shocked. I was begging my dad to leave at HT. We were losing 3-0. So glad we didn't. We won the replay 2-1 and it was one of my favourite moments when Mullin scored the pen. We lost 6-0 to united but whatever.

I think it’s because var can not overrule freekick decisions or yellow card decisions it can only come into play when it’s a potential penalty offside disallowed goal or red card
