No it wouldn't. But you know, he didn't really much care for the song, and wanted to make changes, but couldn't, because they had already filmed the dance scene. However he did make some subtle changes (guitar rifs etc) I know he was sure glad he did do the song for sure. I know i am as a fan......

This song has been haunting me the entire day today. I played it really loud as soon as I got home, only to learn Eric had passed away over a month ago. Now I am both sad and happy, so I'll be listening to his songs for the rest of the night, in memory of Eric. Rest in peace, Mr Carmen. It would be impossible for me to imagine 80's pop culture, movies or my childhood without your great music. Thank you! I'll be enjoying it until my time is up.

All the women in my family used to watch Dirty Dancing over and over. I used to act like I didn't like it too 😂. The soundtrack is an absolute gold mine! Absolutely timeless. These songs will be great in 2150. Rip to all those lost whether on the soundtrack, actors/actresses, behind the scenes, and every person that had anything to do with this classic endeavor. They sure carved their place in history, didn't they??
When I first started talking to my wife , was a lil over a year ago , married 6 months in. This song was always in my head while waiting to see her everyday. Funny enough while at work she found a dirty dancing torn up shirt, and it was the biggest sign I’ve ever received, as I had sent this song to her a week before. I love her more than life. Except my parents seemed to adore classical standards and other big band stuff from the 40s. I came to respect it, but for people that were in their 30s and 20s(adopted dad born in '54, mom born in '60, ain't never seen my bio dad) in the 80s, they definitely seemed like they were in the wrong era. I was born in '83 and didn't hear much 80s music until the late 90s. Much thanks to The Wedding Singer starting off the whole "80s are cool again" vibe.
