    amazing -
wonderful to have such a record from my father's time - he joined 331 in August 1941 as Intelligence Officer for the squadron and stayed with them, returning to Oslo in 1945. He became close friends with many of the pilots in both 331 & 332, including Gregers Gram, Bjørnstad, Lynneberg, Birksted, Woxen etc. Thanks for this.

Thanks for bringing this and other rare and valuable footage from the 331 and 322 lads to the public! Regards from a fellow Norwegian, virtual pilot from the 331 Sqn EAF, same as Starfire.

Very well put together... Speaks not just of the 331/332 but of all WWII RAF Spitfire pilots in general...

The guy at 00:53 was the first norwegian pilot to discover and shoot down a german plane (in Norway early morning april 9th). His name is Finn Thorsager.

I have noticed that some Spitfires have three bladed props and four bladed props must be a more powerful later mark Merlin with the four bladed prop.

The MkVb had three blades propeller, and the later MkIX (from later part of 1942) had four.
