Both sides didn't make coreos, cause in the last few days there were big clashes between both ultras group, so the police didn't allow them. The sampdoria stand was silent for the last 20 minitues, because the ultras leave the stadium, looking for a fight with the genoa ultras who left the stadium shortly after. In fact it was a dangerous night in genoa, I've never seen so much police in all these years at the derby.
Sad there is violence now, I visited lanturna derby once & was told it was not always fighting between Sampdoria i Genoa fans ?
There was an accident in may, that has produced this escalation over these months and probably it wasn't over last night.

They use to have a "ceasefire", but at the moment, Genoa hooligans have multiples sampdoria flags, stolen form previous assault to sampdoria ultras headquarters. Nobody is going to give up on the matter, so I fear the violences wave will increase.

I understand that you were granted VIP access and the Genoa shirt, but your reporting was completely inaccurate. You only showed Genoa's (few)actions , but you forgot to say that they were literally stormed by Sampdoria, this video is also well done, but it is completely misleading for all the people who follow you and have not seen the match.

Completamente non direi, il primo tempo vi abbiamo schiacciato mentre il secondo tempo gilardino ha preferito chiudersi in difesa per oltre 45 minuti, togliendo TUTTI gli attaccanti ..nel complesso avete meritato di vincere, ma “schiacciati” per tutta la partita assolutamente no.

Just after those facts, Samp ultras decided to pay a visit to the violent diffidati's headquarters and slapped them left and right while taking the official diffidati Genoa patch. Samp ultras were more in number but they did such action to stop Diffidati from repeatedly assaulting innocent people headed to the stadium.
The same day, when the majority of genoa fans came back from their away game in Milan, they decided to pay a visit to the ultras Samp headquarters during nighttime while no soul was around and certainly not inside the headquarters, assisted by the police. The headquarters was empty and they tried to find the official Ultras' patches as well. They didn't find them and only stole a few old flags, thinking that they actually were official Ultras' patches, but they were just flags. They then exposed those flags during the derby, while Samp ultras actually exposed the official Diffidati patch. Not to mention the fact that during the game Samp ultras left their stand to go get the Genoa ultras, who remained hidden in their own stand
It is quite clear who the coward is in this story. A little hint: they lost the derby too

Genoa fans like to believe that "they're the only team in Genova". Yet, they've always been in Sampdoria's shadow. Also, it's absolutely not true that "people in the centre support genoa" and that sampierdarena "isn't genova". Lanterna "isn't in between". It's in Sampierdarena, historic neighbourhood in Genova. But again, genoa fans are completely delusional. They've had so much sh*t over the years that they need it to stay relevant. That's why they're enjoying so much the first time in history that Genoa is objectively better than Sampdoria. It's understandable that, as a Genoa's guest, you had to film exclusevely Genoa's reaction and actions, and I agree with you by this;
But, as you can see just by reading statistics about Lanterna's Derby, it was always a clash between two great group of fans, not just Genoa's ones...
In fact, Sampdoria has got one of the most beautiful fans around italy and maybe Europe ("Ultras Tito Cucchiaroni", Sampdoria's main Ultras Group, are one of the oldest and still active Ultras Group in whole Italy) and they where historically known for their unique style of chants and coreos...
So, just saying that they were "silent" (that, in fact, it's not correct as they were singing even without the "Ultras" governing them), it's just disrespectful, considering their history and everything else.

The "Derby della Lanterna" it's such a religious thing here in Genoa that it's important to know both sides and show what they did during the whole match; just showing one side (for logic reasons related with your premium pass, of course) it's cool, but derbys are beautiful because, as a neutral fan, you can enjoy the beautifullness of such fans of both sides, in this case especially Sampdoria's one!

Sampierdarena is one of the most important neighborhood in the city and in which it's located the lighthouse and Doria(andrea) was the most important person in the history of Genova. learn it instead of riding meat as you did. Somebody leaves early couse Genoa fans are being trublemaker last months.. they clashed with police before the macth, and alfter.. with ultras targeting families leaving the stadium from the "non ultra stands" ( I don't know how they call it in English). Here is the story of the recent Ultras fight:
in May 2024 diffidati Genoa were assaulting random civilians and families passing by the area of their headquarters to go to a random Samp match. they got violently attacked just because they were wearing Samp colours.
Let me say it again: attacking civilians and families just passing by their area only for the fact that they had a Samp scarf.
Just after those facts, Samp ultras decided to pay a visit to the violent diffidati's headquarters and slapped them left and right while taking the official diffidati Genoa patch. Samp ultras were more in number and they did such action to stop Diffidati from repeatedly assaulting innocent people headed to the stadium.

They were escorted by the police. The headquarters was empty and they tried to find the official Ultras' patches as well. After Genoa exposing those flags, Samp ultras left their stand to go get the Genoa ultras, who remained hidden in their own stand.

The flags displayed at the beginning of the second half were actually stolen by Genoa fans from a Sampdoria supporters' club that had been shut down. They showcased them as a trophy, but in reality, it was nothing more than a theft legally permitted by the police (DIGOS). In the ultras' mindset, it's considered a huge sign of disrespect to display another team’s flags, especially when you haven’t fought to win them-which is exactly what Genoa fans didn’t do. As a result, Sampdoria fans remained silent for 20 minutes, and some even left the stadium. Many of them were ready to confront the Genoa supporters, who were bizarrely mocking Sampdoria with those flags.
The best derby, but NOT THE BEST FANS.....genoa supporters are,in italy, considered the most infamous and cowardly....ask around to believe....next time come to the right side of Genova....and get informed before say nonsense.......cheers
Obviously you were guest of Genoa, but you should be honest in your job. Samp dominated the match. Everyone (Genoa fans included) admitted that. Sorry because someone who didn't see the match has a completely distorted view of how things actually happened both on stage and in the stands.

Next time you should come back when Sampdoria is at home and you'll see that we can be crazy and loud too ;) Sampdoria dominated the entire match by the way, despite being in the second league (that's because our former owner almost caused failure, so we ned to start back last year). Like people already told you, Sampdoria ultras left the building after Genoa ones exposed the flags that they stole from Sampdoria, and they fought during the night. PS: Idk if you will still be able to get tickets but on Sunday there is the Antwerp derby, Royal Antwerp VS Beersch*t *PUKE*. Its always alot of atmosphere and heat around the game. Its been a bit since the last derby cause of relegation. Probably the most heated derby in Belgium
