So Limp Bizkit's popularity didn't hit long before Linkin Park released, but they were still a precursor. Along with Korn, they primed everyone for more rap/hip-hop collabs. @oneslikeme yes, them and Korn paved the way for Linkin Park, Papa Roach, and other huge bands. But the Chocolate Starfish and the Hotdog Flavored Water also came out in 2000, and it was as big as Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory back then. Limp Bizkit enjoyed their huge mainstream popularity until 2004/2005, so they were at the top of the music industry alongside their peers during that period before their fame fell off.

He has changed his ways at shows though, especially after a girl died in an Australian Big Day Out music festival - he now asks mid song if someone is okay if he thinks they are struggling from on stage! Good to see this tbh...

Limp Bizkit was EVERYWHERE from 99 to 2005! TRL generation: Every day, we were exposed to a wide variety of genres in one place. We had Korn, Limp Bizkit, Britney, Linkin Park, Mariah Carey, Eminem, NSYNC all on one show at the same time. It was great.

Basically, Limp Bizkit was on top of the world between 1999 to 2001... Pretty much the biggest band in the world at the time, so it's not hard to imagine how they managed to have people like Snoop, Dre and Eminem in their video. Korn did the same thing with their video for Twisted Transistor, btw... Might want to check that out?
Back in the day neo-metal and hip-hop had such a vibe together ! This is why you see Dre, Snoop and others in some videos. You should check the song they made with Method Man called "N 2 gether now" there's a music video ! you'd be surprised 😁
I went to a 3 day metal festival last year. Limp Bizkit was one of the headliners. I wasn't really looking forward to them because I thought they didn't fit in the lineup. They ended up being my favorite performance the entire weekend. It got fucking dangerous in the crowd during this song lol I'd kill to see them live again
Check out the Woodstock 1999 concert version of this song. The crowd destroyed the venue because of lack of accommodations and high prices and went nuts when Limp Bizkit took the stage and performed this song.
Durst was in a bunch of Eminem videos, everyone appeared in everyone's stuff back in the day. It may of sounded aggressive but it was a perfect storm of between hip hop and rock, bands paying homage to legends from all music they grew up around and enjoyed. From Kid Rock to Christina Aguilar everyone vibed and poked fun at each other in their music and videos.
All the nu metal bands were successful around the same time in the late 90s, early 2000s. Limp Bizkit started the public break through and dominated the music scene for a couple years. They basically opened the doors in radio for nu metal and all the other nu metal bands broke through the flood gates as if the world had waited for them. Was a good time to be a teenager.
That is indeed Dr Korn. Bravo! Your face when you recognized each one of the other cameos (except Pauly Shore, cowboy hat towards the end) made my whole week.
Korn and Limp Bizkit did a tour together called Family Values. Both lead singers did a rap/rock song together called "All in the Family" where they diss and roast each other back and forth and it's quite worth a listen lol
Seen these guys on the Family Values tour in 1999. You can't even imagine how crazy it was with Korn, Limp Biscuit, Run DMC, Method Man/ Redman, Jarule, and Filter was in one concert!
I'd love to see you react to The End of Heartache by Killswitch Engage, it's genuinely one of my favourite songs by that band, its got such a heavy sound with surprisingly beautiful lyrics
Duuude! YES! This was one of my jams back when it came out! Nice one spotting most the cameos too. The fact you got the singer of Korn so fast was epic! Being a rap fan, there is a song you should check out by Limp Bizkit as it features Method Man! The song is "N 2 Gether Now". Pretty awesome track to be honest. Doesn't go hard but has a nice beat too it. If you do check it out, I hope you enjoy! Loving the reactions! Keep 'em coming dude! :D
I remember as a kid putting on the music video channel they topped the charts for a long time, I'd hear it multiple times a day on different countdowns, on the radio, at amusement parks. Them and Linkin park dominated that genre. They made the rock/punk/skater culture, style and music mainstream to kids who maybe didn't fit in that scene or didn't know about it, back then it was often rich suburban kids or a specific crowd who wanted to rebel who listened to rock and adopted the style. I think that's why the rock hipsters looked down on them back then.
It's been fun watching your journey through music that I grew up with, and I'll echo a bunch of others - This went exactly how I expected to. That said, as for your "Is he getting other people to play him?" thought - basically. Premise always seemed to be that the lyrics are something most people could relate to, especially at the time it came out. As for your thoughts of surprise on the various rappers showing up, was really common to see blending of genres at the time and it was always a great time. Some big examples would be "Walk This Way" of course, but one of the bigger lost tracks would be "It's Going Down" from the X-Ecutioners. That said, I look forward to the day you end up at the door that got me onto the metal doorstep - Fear Factory. They have some tracks that dance close to Rap stylings, but I feel like "Zero Signal" or "Edgecrusher" would just be something to experience. Keep it going, and have a great one.

Numetal followed by Horrorcore got me deep into both rap and metal. Genre mashing is wonderful for teaching people how to find and appreciate new kinds of music, so it's nice to see that it's still effective, even 20+ years later. XD
listen to the uncensored version of this ! i swear if youve ever had a rough day at work ; play this in the car on the way home , you''ll feel better trust me 😂
Jonathan Davis of Korn and Fred of Limp Bizkit did guest spots on each other's albums that same year, on Korn's it was called All in the Family, done kind of battle rap style with rock flair.
AHAHAHAHAAHAHAH first 30 seconds of video " you guys said this would make me want to jump around and punch walls, and im not really getting that vibe" cut to end of song " i hope my lamp isnt broken.. wheres my shoe?" /subscribed
Korn, Ice Cube, LB and others toured as the " Family Values" tour. Korn discovered Fred through tattooing. There were many guest spots in and and videos during this period.
Many guests in this clip, Snoop Dog, Pauly Shore, Dre, Jonathon Davies, Eminem and his daughter Haley, even a quick shot of Brad Pitt or other actors and musicians.
Back in '99 I went to see the Korn Family Values tour. It was Limp Bizkit, Rammstien, Korn, and a couple others were there. But sandwiched in the middle was Ice Cube. A live set from Ice Cube. And the crowd loved it! Still one of my favorite concert memories.
This video had a whole bunch of artists in the music video. Eminem (and his daughter), Dr. Dre, Snoop, Aaron Lewis (staind), Jonathan Davis (Korn), Rodger Daltrey (the who), and a few more I'm sure I'm missing. Pretty cool video 🤙🤙
Bro it's really cool you are learning about the more realistic music ... 😂😂.. see rap and any other genre are not at all disrespectful music it's just they only require a 1-3 musician... Rock music needs everyone to be skilled in their area ... Love to you man
Back in the late 90s-early 00s, I worked in a call center. Yeah...I know. At the end of the day, I was usually in a bad mood after dealing with idiot customers. So I burned a CD called "Lib's Angry Mix" - this was the first song.
This time, Set your eyes to zion, execute the sounds, the reasons, freedom fighters, asthma, roots in stereo, sounds like war, ridiculous are some of my favs. One of the most underrated bands.
Don't forget they were a devout Christian rock band. I remember someone (I think Kurt Loder from MTV) talking about the first time he was to interview them on a tour, they had gone to a couple other bands buses, there was booze, drugs, naked chicks. They go to POD's bus, get invited in, and it was all calm and quiet, 2 of them were reading bibles, drinking milk.
Love the reaction! I played in a local rock band in his hometown of Gastonia, NC. Friends of mine knew him and Fred always told them, he was gonna make it big. What do you know, Bob's your uncle! 😂 Losing your shoe was funny as hell. Btw, I'm a serious Monty Python, Benny Hill fan! British comedy, in general. Ok, Billy Connolly is funny AF! Peace, from the colonies. 😉
You seem to react to stuff from all over the world, and i love that. Representing Germany; please check out the Rap group Deichkind. Good songs to start on would be "Wer Sagt Denn Das", "So ne Musik", and "Limit"
I love hearing you say you don't feel like throwing stuff or going crazy etc...I don't understand as someone who was a teenager when NuMetal came out, why people get angry or aggressive with this music. Does it make me feel pumped up, hell yeah! Do I feel like I need to be aggressive or anything? No...Moshing or dancing to metal for me should never be able trying to hurt anyone or throw stuff, it should just be about the vibe and the good pumped up adrenaline feeling it gives you.
Let's see, snoop Dogg, dr. Dre, emminem, johnathen Davis, Polly Shore, amoung others. Lots of big stars in this video. But on a side note, johnathen Davis is the one that found limp bizkit (Fred Durst) and got them signed. Fred appears in a few Korn songs as well.
All of these guys hung out together in the 90's....liKe everyone. Nirvana, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, Dre, Snoop, 2 Pac, etc. Ice Cube went on tour with Korn and has a track with them. With the exception of the East Coast vs West Coast nonsense , they all mostly got along. Except for Guns and Roses.... no one got along with them. Mostly because of Axl Rose.
yes those were all the people you think they are. and Korn is in there bc they are the ones who "discovered" limp bizkit and signed them to a record label.
If you don't know Limp Bizkit, you've completely missed the late 90s and early '00s. This videoclip is from the year 2000. During that era, they dominated mainstream music, alongside Eminem and Linkin Park (not their precursors).

Numetal followed by Horrorcore got me deep into both rap and metal. Genre mashing is wonderful for teaching people how to find and appreciate new kinds of music, so it's nice to see that it's still effective, even 20+ years later. XD
listen to the uncensored version of this ! i swear if youve ever had a rough day at work ; play this in the car on the way home , you''ll feel better trust me 😂
Dude went from "nah this song doesn't make me want to break shite" to breaking his studio light 😂😅
Great reaction brother
THAT WAS A FUCKING BADASS REACTION BRO, NICE ONE \m/
This track hits different with the cuss words in it.
The censored version is such a shame
Just say it…. those Fu*kers need to Fu*king put “The Fu*k” back the Fu*k in the Fu*king song and leave it the Fu*k alone🤣🤣🤣 I’m sorry🤣🤣🤣
Fucking love the way you react. Honest but fucking hilarious aswell
One of the best tours of my life.
Don't forget Pauly Shore lol
Flea from red hot chili peppers...
KORN and Limp Bizkit toured together on " The FAMILY VALUES" Tour. It also featured ICE CUBE, RAMMSTEIN, and ORGY
I've been waiting for this day, I saw them live a couple of months ago this song is so popular they did it twice
This cracks me up watching rappers see Snoop, Dre and M in a rock video.
Bro it's really cool you are learning about the more realistic music ... 😂😂.. see rap and any other genre are not at all disrespectful music it's just they only require a 1-3 musician... Rock music needs everyone to be skilled in their area ... Love to you man
It was common during this time especially in LA to make rock/punk videos with the local teens.
Back in the late 90s-early 00s, I worked in a call center. Yeah...I know. At the end of the day, I was usually in a bad mood after dealing with idiot customers. So I burned a CD called "Lib's Angry Mix" - this was the first song.
From around this same era of music, I think you will appreciate P.O.D. Youth of the Nation
Yes !
what a song, truly. also their song alive is so good
This time, Set your eyes to zion, execute the sounds, the reasons, freedom fighters, asthma, roots in stereo, sounds like war, ridiculous are some of my favs.
Hot dog flavoured water dude 😎🤣 The rest of the fan's will fill you in 😉
This song is on my angry playlist 😂
I love hearing you say you don't feel like throwing stuff or going crazy etc...I don't understand as someone who was a teenager when NuMetal came out, why people get angry or aggressive with this music. Does it make me feel pumped up, hell yeah! Do I feel like I need to be aggressive or anything? No...Moshing or dancing to metal for me should never be able trying to hurt anyone or throw stuff, it should just be about the vibe and the good pumped up adrenaline feeling it gives you.
Em and Fred were both going after whitey Ford (everlast)
Limp backs out and em makes the diss track girls against limp.
I've been waiting for this one. It did not disappoint. Thank you.
The best part with this song is it applies to EVERYONE.
All the celebrity cameos its awesome
For me, it's not about going mental. It's about knowing that other people get this angry and listening to this helps me release.
And did you clock Ben Stiller?
“It’s not a song I’d go crazy to…” (hold please) 7:48 😂
All of these guys hung out together in the 90's....liKe everyone. Nirvana, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Ice Cube, Dre, Snoop, 2 Pac, etc. Ice Cube went on tour with Korn and has a track with them. With the exception of the East Coast vs West Coast nonsense , they all mostly got along. Except for Guns and Roses.... no one got along with them. Mostly because of Axl Rose.
So at the time, this music video was monumental. Getting all these huge names to appear. Fred Durst is the man
yes those were all the people you think they are. and Korn is in there bc they are the ones who "discovered" limp bizkit and signed them to a record label.
You younguns crack me up with the cameos 😂
The BIZKIT owned 99-2000 Everyone loved them. Hell Em dist him In Just Like Me 😂😂😂
the DJ in Limp Bizkit is DJ Lethal from House of Pain
The late 90's music scene was something else....
I'm binge watching all of his metal reactions lol
Limp Bizkit was HUGE in the early 2000's.
Nah you got hyped at the right bit bro. That’s why “John” from Korn is like pushing him and goading him and riling him up before it turns up to 100!
ОБОЖАЮ LIMP BIZKIT❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Finally Mr. Korn got the recognition he deserves.
