Pandemonium can be used as a good comparison piece to Chaos. Each one is the theme for the flesh prison bosses for the secret boss level of the two acts. The whole point of the flesh Prison, and it's follow-up the flesh Panopticon, is that they are organic machines made of both divine and hell energy that has no consciousness and acts purely on instinct to prevent the imprisoned Prime Soul from being released.
By comparison to Chaos, Pandemonium is slightly more structured and held together, just as the panopticon is compared to the prison (until sisyphus just busts himself out of it but that's not important right now)

the part at 23:10 is the leitmotif of sands of tide, the song which happens at level 4-2 in the game.
this is a reference to where Sisyphus prime (with this song being his boss theme) was sent for his punishment and where most of the important things in his lore happening, further connecting him to the 4th layer of dante's hell

Your analysis of War really hits home. Especially the part about characters fighting a battle they're going to lose. This is the theme of a boss who tried to arm an insurrection against heaven and lost horribly. He knew he was going to lose but still tried.
Anyways if you do a part 3, I recommend Deep Blue and Death Odyssey, as well as Versus.

You've already knocked out some of the very popular songs, and I'm sure many people will suggest the same few boss themes, but I'd be very interested in what you'd have to say about non-boss tracks like Guts and Glory, Deep Blue, Death Odessey, and Altars of Apostasy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

Re: War, your notes about futility and hope are very appropriate - it's the theme of Sisyphus, who *almost* successfully rebelled against heaven in this setting. It's cool that Hakita put that in, and just as cool that you picked up on it.
Suggestion: To The Edge, from FFXIV - I won't spoil the context, but the composer, Soken, does like his clever composition, and the context is a throwback to early FF games. You might have some insights!

I really like how you almost instantly picked up on the "futile struggle" bit in War because that is literally the main point of what that song is used in. That song is paired with Sisyphus, which, as you might know, his story was an eternal struggle, and for that to be portrayed in a song so well that someone can notice it right off of the bat is crazy.

The ULTRAKILL soundtrack is so full of amazing stuff, you could probably make two more videos like this one, maybe even three, without any drop in the intensity and power these songs possess.
For specific requests, Altars of Apostasy + Halls of Sacrilegious Remains is one I'd love to hear since you liked Castle Vein so much. Other than that, there's also the two songs that the main themes of Order and War bortow motifs from, which are Requiem and Sands of Tide, and I'd love to hear you listen to how those motifs are in the original songs and deconstruct how they sound compared to the boss versions and how different they feel.
There's also Death Odyssey because its just a fucking banger of a song.
Finally, you could make one video covering all of Gabriel's themes, which are Bach 18: I Call to You, Lord Jesus Christ (you don't have to listen to that one if you already know it), Divine Intervention, Fallen Angel, and The Death of God's Will. Those should be listened to all in a row IMO.
As a bonus, if you get the OST via Bandcamp, you can read developer commentary from the game's composer regarding almost every song on the OST (the songs for the prime sanctums were released for free and so don't have commentary, but all others have a paragraph or more written about how they were made).

the funny thing about ultrakill's soundtrack is
hakita is one of the biggest musical nerds around, with standards to fit
he carved out a really particular set of styles, and expects people to keep up with it, be they players or guest composers
it's pretty easy to tell how the game's artistic direction gradually improves, and the ost probably shows that better than everything else

I really adore how much the music of ultrakill is used to reflect the lore and story of the world.
Like he said, “War” in sections reflects a feeling similar to music that plays when hero’s in a movie know they are about to enter a loosing battle or general futile fighting. But he also mentions in parts there is hope/perseverance even still knowing there will be a loss. Such as in the lore of Sisyphus in the game. Having to fight a futile war knowing fully he will lose but preserving for the sake of living fully

I would recommend checking out Ultrakill OST Versus and Duel side by side. Versus plays during a bossfight with a certain robot, that represents a better version of you, but if you beat it, you meet it down the line again, wanting revenge. Thats where Duel comes in. The songs are the same, but different, and I think it would be fun to compare the two, from the point of how they change and what they represent. And also, they are absolute bangers of battle music.
Also, if you make the video in the future and wanted to add one more song to the list, I would humbly suggest Castle Vein. It's a great baroque-rock-style song.
