    Hey! Just watched your AE tutorial and it is awesome! Is the full course applicable to AE too?

      Full course focuses on the fusion tab in resolve. More powerful tools in there.

    Just purchased the course and am looking forward to learning some new tricks. Thanks for making it. One question: why convert to Tiff image sequence? Instead of rendering a QT 444 video?

    • @advancedindievfx
      @advancedindievfx  2 года назад +1

      QT 4444 is totally valid. Many more advanced vfx software like Nuke are set up for image sequences. Plus they have an added advantage: if your export crashes in the middle of output, you just restart the export from the frame it failed, rather than needing to do the whole thing again.

    Loved the RUclips video(after effects)! Very nicely explained. Just had a doubt regarding the course.
    Does this course include the tutorial on how to integrate shadows of the subjects? Like in that shot where the girl is walking and boy is following, and the shadow looks nicely integrated. Just wanted to clarify if we get that shot tutorial in course or it's only one closeup shot that is shown?

      Thanks! I do cover wide shots as well as moving shots. My focus in the paid course is most specific to extracting fine hair detail (especially in difficult situations), but the process would be the same for any fine detail: shadows, motion blur, semitransparent clothing like lace. That said, in practice with the music video and on other projects I’ve found that just using the existing shadow from the green screen plate shot wasn’t always enough to sell it. I’d often have to either separate the shadow from my main key so I could make individual adjustments to it and the subject, or I often added a synthetic shadow on top from a plugin in the compositing stage. Red Giant makes a great shadow/reflection tool you should check out. So yes, it’s covered, but not as directly as you might prefer.
