The five were amazing! The "Meet and Greet" that was promised by the management/promoters were two very different animals! I realize that the guys were, no doubt, exhausted, but they were all but surly with the exception of drummer Rick Allen. He seemed to enjoy all aspects of the "Meet and Greet" and the afterparty for those who purchased pieces of his artwork. Very down to earth and kind to give the buyer a brief synopsis of what the art meant to him at the time it was painted. As I earlier wrote, the concerts were incredible. Two hours long and full of material not heard for years and also newer material. But, being herded through and not getting what we were originally prime was beyond disappointing!
I was in attendance at the "Meet and Greet" on the afternoon of the 17th August 2019. I had planned this for months as I would be celebrating my birthday the next morning. What we had been promised and what was delivered at the "Meet and Greet" were two very different things. I ended up getting yelled at by photographer Valerie over something that was not entirely my doing. I shook hands with the band members. I have yet to see the photo taken with them. The rest of the tour took us all briefly backstage. No free refreshments, no chatting with the band, none of them signing anything for fans. I saw many long faces leaving that so-called meet and greet. I have to wonder it the band members have any clue as to what is going on?
