  • Antimicrobial stewardship is a quality improvement initiative that promotes the appropriate use of antimicrobials to reduce emergence of microbial resistance and to mitigate the risk of adverse events experienced by the patient due to antimicrobials. This webinar will provide a current overview of key concepts in antimicrobial stewardship as it applies to solid organ transplant programs. The presentation will focus on the need for antimicrobial stewardship in solid organ transplant programs as a means of improving the quality of care and the patient experience.
