No idea why comments were disabled! They are turned back on :)
Great movies. I still re-watch the 3 Ninjas series of films. I also like Surf Ninjas with Rob Schneider in it. These movies are 10 million times better than most films today. No matter how cheap or cheesy they seem.
Noticed that . I clicked this so fast and thought where's the damn comments?
Redeye playing it ultra safe with 3 ninjas.
@@Vercingetorix.Fantasia haha yeah I think RUclips does that automatically if it notices alot of kids in a video.
You silly billy can't handle the criticism hehehehhee
@@RedEyeReviews 'iya
I love how grandpa loses 100lbs when ever he’s doing acrobatics 🤣
Hey, Egg Shen can do magic.
@@emeritus666 I love him
Well, it is good aerobic exercise!😉
@@TroubleToby3040 it’s a joke man, it’s a stun double whenever gramps is doing acrobatics in the film.
This movie is a solid, joyful memory of my childhood - saw it in theatres with my mom and still love it to this day. This movie, along with Surf Ninjas and Sidekicks all share a room in my happy place. Slow it... Slowin' down... slooooow it... slooowin down... boop
That's a great memory! I will be doing Surf Ninjas version soon
@@RedEyeReviews Right on. These movies are the dictionary (although who knows with today's dictionaries) definition of corny and formulaic but holy cannoli are they ever wholesome. Need more wholesome these days. Keep up the great work, man.
My man! The triple threat
@nickurchin9579
That quote is perfect man. You and I would of been best friends because those 3 movies were really close to me when I was a kid.
"He doesn't seem to be of sound mind either" made me cry. Good job as always . This was a constant watch in the 90's for me
This was one of those movies i watched over and over and over again. Still love it.
An absolute necessity for 90s kids to watch, these movies + Ninja Turtles made ninjas the coolest thing in the world. So many great one liners as well "Rocky loves Emily"
I like how they were gone all summer but mom still didn't finish redoing the room at the end of the hall.
For years I thought the bad guy in this movie was played by Steven Segal.
For minutes I've been thinking it was Gavin Rossdale.
I’ve got to admit a few scenes in this made me laugh, like the door slamming back on the 3 kidnappers and that 1 bad ninja hitting his buddies behind him with his nunchucks :)
I've always loved the line "We don't want the hurt you.... we just want to KIDNAP you!" So much better than this movie deserved.
Door slamming is comedy gold
I like the part when Colt was like " oh no 😲 Robbers " and the Surfer Dudes responded with " Robbers ??? ... I thought we were kidnappers " 😂😂😂 they were so funny
I remember seeing this as a kid, and STILL thinking it was ridiculous! This totally deserved the Redeye treatment! you should do the rest of the 3 ninja movies, specially High Noon at Mega Mountain!
Same here. But it proves nothing. I thought Segal movie was legit too.
@@halthammerzeit 😅 same
Didn't hulk hogan show up in a 3 ninjas movie at some point?
@@Vercingetorix.Fantasia Yep! he's in the High Noon one.
@@Vercingetorix.Fantasia Hogan deserves his own category on this channel. The volume is low but the roasting will be sky high.
The hiyah compilation at the end was incredible, a work of art.
Memories of little league baseball, watching this on VHS when I got home with some Capri-suns and sour gummy worms. The 90's were an awesome childhood!
And yes, I used some of their moves in fights I got into with bullies and they actually worked lol
Hilarious editing moments:
1. The obvious stunt man wearing the grandpa wig and beard during the opening fight at Grandpa's house.
2. The obvious surface that Rocky steps on when he's dunking the ball during the basketball scene(it was portrayed like he just jumped that high and far).
Kid power, ahhhhhhh eeeeeeee yeaaaa!!!!!! HIYAH!!!
Kid power, power of the kids power lol
The idea that these ninjas use swords (inc. grandpa yoda in his 1-on-1 at 14:00) in this movie is kinda crazy. Like what if grandpa actually hit the dude and lopped off an arm in front of the kids?
"Never fight unless you're sure you can win"......and not lose a limb.
Lesson learned
Those little kids are dangerous and the door slam gets me every time. The I-ya montage was awesome.
I would have LOVED having a grandpa that trained me to be a ninja!
I would have loved to have an Asian grandpa, but no half-asian parents!
I had one, yeah its great being a ninja. Sorry your grandpa wasn't one. But you know what? We cant just all be ninja's you know. As the old ninja saying goes: Man must accept his faith, even if that means (or imposes) death. To a ninja death means nothing though.
I re-watched this last year, at 40, I expected to hate it, but I laughed out loud a bunch of times, and for the most part, I enjoyed it.
Thank you for the "Hiya" montage at the end there, that's the one thing I hated about the movie.
Cant even begin to count the amount of times ive saw this film as a kid. Always loved it, thanks for covering it and reminding me of my childhood. God bless the 90s
Love how these children turn into full blown adults whenever they do something really acrobatic. Just spontaneously grow a foot
Ninjas were the cool thing during late 80's and early 90's. The amount of ninjas in media during that time is crazy, all thanks to TMNT i guess.
don't forget about G.I. Joe which came to revolve more and more around the ninja Snake Eyes (who wasn't even originally a ninja).
I LOVED this movie as a kid. And now I think I'm finally ready to watch it again. For about a year or so as a kid, I really wanted to be Colt. Thank you for the entertainment once again!
Colt was the coolest one of them all
Definitely wanted to b colt.
I remember watching these as a kid. Can't wait for the rest of the 3 ninjas reviews.
I remember loving their masks, it's like Ninja Turtles, Leo, Ralph and Mike are the 3 kids.
There's a Japanese version of this film(the American version came after) that is extremely hard to find called "three little ninja kids" or something like that. There's a part one and two. I'm in my late 30s now, but this movie was a staple of my childhood in the 90s.
Please do the entire series, especially 3 NINJAS KICK BACK where two of the three brothers get recasted. The sequels were released out of order so Kick Back was originally intended to be part 3, not 2.
How do you know all of this?
So the American 3 ninjas is a REMAKE of a little known Japanese film?
I actually think 3 Ninjas Kick Back to be the best one
He's right I heard on another review video that the Japanese version he is speaking of is Korean emperor Kim Jong Un favorite movie
I woke up and watched half of this getting ready for work, now I'm finishing after work and I realize how much I appreciate the channel. Great comforting viewing. Thanks buddy, Can't wait to see what ya got next!
To think, this was the best of the series 😁
I love these random reviews, they're like the random 1 onion ring at the bottom of my order of fries. That's not what I ordered, but it's a nice random treat to have. Thanks Redeye!
Omg that line about the ancient art of tea bagging was hilarious 😂😆😂😆
Such memories. I remember our dad renting this movie 3 times in a row. Without PERMISSION!
That "hi-yah" super cut at the end was WAAYYY longer than I expected. Holy shit.
I used to have my one and only dirty movie inside this movie VHS cover, until my mom lended it to her friend🤣
Hahaha best comment.
Your mom sounds cool, lending her friends dirty movies like that.
Wait, your mom loaned what she perceived to be a kid's movie to a, presumably, adult friend?
@@megatronjenkins2473 to her children that was a couple of years older than me
Strong username/comment synergy.
Can't wait for the RedEye review on all the other 3 Ninja's movies. I'm surprised there wasn't a 3 Ninjas: High School Musical edition at this point.
PERFECT film analysis. Siskel is dead and Ebert can't be bothered with this childhood gem. You sir have found yourself the PERFECT cottage industry: Reviewing my childhood favorites.
Its like you made your channel for my inner 10 year old. THANK YOU.
I don’t know why Red Eye reviews doesn’t get more views. He is as good as nostalgia critic, cinema snob, fanboy flicks, jontron, etc. His videos deserve a million views.
Keep putting out product like this, and you will get those views soon enough. You are very funny and I love watching your videos of these older movies
I absolutely wore out my VHS tape with this movie when I was a kid. Loved it and ran around the garden kicking left and right
I remember seeing this over summer vacation in the theater. Can't go wrong with a movie that features Egg Shen and Odd Job. Also, your dog is ADORABLE!
3 Ninjas was the first time I learned about the scary power of laxatives.
This might be your best one yet. You can tell you really enjoyed this
This movie needs a stage musical adaptation
How did I miss this for two days? This is gonna be awesome!
Dude, the main kid bully with the cap is the same kid that played dough boy as a child with ice cube in boy's in the hood.
I'm not entirely certain why I loved these movies as a kid. They're insane.
Because if you were a kid in the early 90s ninjas were awesome
@@jeremysiron9622Yeah, karate and ninjas was a staple in the 90s. Man I miss the 90s 😌
10 year old me, planning my watchlist as background noise while I played with Action figures:
“Sandlot”
“3 ninjas”
“Ninja turtles: Attack of the ooze”
You and I would've been buds growing up lol.
I loved this movie as a kid. Watch it and it's sequel so many times.
"Teabag Technique", LMAO!!
Martial arts is known for stopping bullying by teaching respect and self control. Bullies are usually kids who get treated shitty at home. Behavior is patterned on Behavior Red eye.
I watched this aged 10 at school as a last day of the term treat. Recess was an orgy of violence.
The violence montage at the end was phenomenal! Remember the boxing episode of “The Adventures of Briscoe County JR.” a year or so later that pretty much nailed the coffin closed for that show? It doesn’t hold a flickering candle light of flame to this nonsense!
Oh, the scarred children of the nineties! They’re pain brought forth The Millennials! 😂
Hey Redeye! The Adventures of Briscoe County JR. Is a show that totally needs to be remembered!
Agree. Forgot about that show and how awesome it was. Parker Lewis Can't Lose or something like that is coming to mind as well.
Holy shit, Redeye! That “Hi-ya!” edit must’ve taken you ages. You are a hero.
14:37 “Dip lo ma tic Im mu nity!”
😂😉👌🏾
Only in a late 80's/early 90's movie would a gang that sells guns have an army of people who throws shurikens.
Man, I actually remembered their names, Rocky,Colt and Tumtum.(BEFORE Gramps said it!)
My daycare stayed showing us this movie, good times.
Such and awesome video. Really killing it Redeye!
My favorite 3 ninjas is "Ernest meets Hulk Hogan"
I swear you are working from a list of every movie I watched from the age of 8-20.
Thank you for getting audio of Legend of Zelda Con with all of the Link Cosplays for the end of the video. 🤣
This was my favorite movie when I was a kid! Pretty sure there’s a sequel with hulk hogan in it.
High Noon at Mega Mountain
3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain (1998) has Hulk Hogan in it. It was the 4th movie.
3 Ninjas (1992)
3 Ninjas: Kick Back (1994)
3 Ninjas: Knuckle Up (1995)
watched this movie too many times as a kid....11:14 and even now this part still cracks me up
Also, I was listening to this one while driving home and when you said the thing about the parents needing to have the kids taken away, I laughed so hard I almost choked on my coffee and wrecked. 😂
Distracted Nerd killed with his 3 Ninjas video. He pointed out that pretty much noone in the world has ever seen a ninja, but in ninja movies they fall out of the woodwork, there are just ninjas everywhere.
Lol
That Rocky kid always reminded me of Jamie Lee Curtis, and he was the only one to come back to do two more of the 3 Ninjas.
Rocky loves Emily.
I wanted to be Colt when I was a kid. The blue mask was clearly superior. 🥶
you were right, I wasn't ready for what was about to happen in Redeye reacts :D
I had totally forgotten about this movie but seeing it again brought me right back to the 90's. I remember how much of a fad it was back then for kids to take karate lessons, and so naturally I liked this at the time.
i am only 12 and i used to watch this with my brother all the time!!! the nostalgia
LIGHT UP THE EYES BOYS!!! LIGHT UP THE EYES!
I watched this constantly as a kid haha
You know how you can say a word over and over again, and it loses all meaning after a little bit... That's "Hi YA!" for me during that montage! 👀
Fantastic job on this movie. It's a real blast from the past, as I was about the age of the protag kids when it came out. It influenced me to start taking martial arts classes, which have saved my life. So mathematically, this movie TECHNICALLY saved my life. 😅
I would instantly believe that the Colt-kid was Jamie Lee Curtis' son.
Ahh. One of my favorite child hood movies. The adventures of Rocky, Colt and Tum-Tum. Was it a good movie? Not really. Did I care? Not at all. I had fun watching it and I still visit it every now and then as an adult
This was hilarious the grandpa without sound mind lmao. The kids getting high off the spray paint. Great stuff
I remember seeing the trailer to this movie for the first time as a kid ... I was already a huge Ninja Turtle fan ... So a movie where kid's rule over the Adults I just had to see 😊
I was definitely not ready for 17:15 - 18:47. I tried to count the number of "HIYA!"s, but blacked out somewhere around the 17:50ish mark. It broke my brain. Hiyah! Hiyah! HIYEAH! HIAAAAYAA! Hiyaaah!
The kidnappers are like the biggest stoners ever without smoking weed 😂🤣
Your dog IS super cute, give her some scritches for me!! Also I loved this movie as a kid, and its just a cheesy as I remember haha.
I've seen this movie a million times, the 3 beach bums are classic.
i've also seen it enough to know that grandpa yells from the rafters to "light up the eyes" before they pick up tum tum as a battering ram. ^_^ But I understand why you did it for comedic purposes.
One of those movies no one in 1992 gave much thought to and stunning it made $30 million off a $2.5 million budget (that was a huge number then) and a mini-franchise so a true sleeper success.
This is a review of the European/Directors cut, so in other words, it’s not the same one you saw in theaters. That being said, thank you for the awesome review of an awesome movie!
That explains why i never saw the last bully encounter!thanks man!
"You deserve my money." 😆
I see you've mastered the Bobby Hill "That's My Purse" style.
I died laughing when you roasted grandpa 🤣
"Light up the eyes!"
Edit: Ooh, do you think you'll review Sidekicks one day? That's another kids' martial arts movie from the 90s that never came close to the height of The Karate Kid. Did I mention it has Chuck Norris?
Me and my two brothers were absolutely obsessed with this movie when it came out and we had way too much fun pretending we were the main characters. Rofl.
This movie was THE BEST when I was a kid! Seeing the kids play Super Mario World was the best. "We don't wanna hurt you....we just wanna KIDNAP YOU!!!!"
This movie and Bruce Lee are the two biggest inspirations from my childhood that put me on the path.
This reminded me of a movie called Surf Ninjas.
The grandfather is what you get when you cross Mr. Miagi and Booger from Revenge of The Nerds!
I did martial arts training.
Should have seen the sheer amounts of pottery we went through.
Simply amazing...
One of my favorite childhood movies
So, you know how at the ending of 2001 Space Odyssey time & space sort of blend together & it becomes this crazy light show of lines & color?
That ending "hiya" montage did the same for me. Except instead of learning about all human evolution, I just kick things.
I saw this movie as a kid I thought it was a great movie. Dang red eye you brought back some memories bro. I believe I have seen them all
I forgot Clifton Powell was in this this! Seeing him in a movie where he doesn't slap or cuss anyone out feels so bizarre. Lol
I was 7 when the second one came out I was hooked. Watched the first two so many times lol
My man Clifton Powell snuck in the 3 ninjas. Wondering if Primms Hood cinema aware ofvthis
Its "snakeoidz" Walter from tremors... fabulous 🤩
My childhood! I still have the VHS.
The "Ay-ja" compilation at the end sounds like the german "Eier" which means "eggs" in english and makes it doubly amusing and also wierd.
i used to watch this as a kid in the 90's, liked it WAY better than Karate Kid.
One of my favorites as a kid!
Man, I loved this movie as a child and revisited it later. Nostalgia is strong with this one, but it is just so darn silly.Well, fitting the premise, I guess, but still...
Love 3 ninjas every one of them, brings me back
